Transplant patient here! What could of happened is they did an "organ trade". Say a friend wanted to donate to you but they weren't a match then they donate it to someone else who matches and someone else who is a better match for you donates theirs to you. It boosts the manager because they have someone with a kidney willing to swap. So basically instead of giving it to the person you want, it goes to someone more compatible in exchange they receive from someone more compatible. Hope that helps. Thanks for all the laughs in 2023.
