Having to pretend like Danni Laidely and Daisy Pearce are real candidates 😂😂😂😂. Just shows how scared people are to speak honestly for fear of the backlash from the morons.

100% agree. Daisy Pearce is just trying to get an idea of how to coach an AFLW side. She is nowhere near the level required to coach and AFL men’s side. AFLW was basically like kids Footy with female adults. I know I’ve coached in that league for more than a decade. As far as Danielle Leadley goes, there’s no such person that’s played at the West Coast Eagles football club so I don’t know why they’d be offering that person a gig. It’s just pure virtue signalling by Barra.

Why didn’t any journalist ask Simmo his thoughts on why the team had performed so poorly with an almost full compliment of players. Missed opportunity.
You can tell the way they played from the start. Those witches hats need a good hard look at themselves. They cost Simmo he's job.

@louisfidock-casey2165 you're wrong, I support them and it's mostly Simmos fault, his lack of change and not making sacrifices such as JD proves it, Schofield in his first game already made changes, adding trew moving Ryan getting rid of darling just experimenting shows the difference. Eagles nearly beat lions and everyone looked more solid. simmo had to go I love him but his time was over
Would have liked Simmo to coach till end of season. But it now gives us time to start having dialogue with Dean Cox. He is my preference with Hansen if he doesn’t want the gig.
Why does Jack Darling need 300, remember John Worsfold he didnt get picked in that last game...why the hell would WC need to nurse jack darling through several games to get to 300. It is insanity. Anyone who selects Darling from now needs to packup and leave as well.
I get no joy saying this but Darling selection for other forwards is what I believe is what broke the Camel back along with the results the last 4 weeks. I take my hat off to Gaffy for putting Simmo and the club first. Would have been a hard watch to play WAFL and see those few games we won.
Who are the better forwards in the WAFL team that could replace Darling?

sadly the sacking was two years too late………this team has been stagnating for two years and getting worse. JD was one of Simmo’s favourites and was guaranteed a game no matter what, don’t blame JD, blame Simmo for his lack of production….JD should have been traded and should be playing with a high power club right now…..
West Coast’s respect and reputation has taken a hammering over the last 3 years, from AFL powerhouse to AFL basket case. I think that bringing back Dean Cox would really help to help restore that respect and heal the trauma of the last 3 years.

Jc was a cheating pig at Freo and hated universally by West Coast. They won't even talk to him.
We want to move you on but would you mind coaching one more game so it looks like we really care .

Pretty simple pick the best team for the future.
Certainly disappointing to sack Simmo with 7 weeks to go.
Should of had him coach out the season then move him on if needed.
No way should any of the current staff be in consideration for the top job, part of the problem.
Certainly not Buckley or Carr at West Coast.

IMO I think he needed that opportunity to coach this year, due to the injury list of the past two. Didn't work out, maybe they don't have the cattle???? but good on him for trying. Onya Simmo

2021 simmo should have stepped aside. 10 years is too long. Funnily enough Ken and beveridge are still hanging on. Respect simmo. Good luck to the next coach. The list is disastrous. The list manager is/was appalling… big moves to come.

Pyke seems like a slimy bastard and gives of such an unprofessional Ora, Adam Simpson is a top bloke and deserves a lot of credit for what he’s done. I think half the eagles board should be kicked including Pyke. Something about that guy that makes me feel uneasy

Ha, he put the knives into Simmo and then when asked to comment was then shy to say anything. He has Zero chance of coaching WC and he know it. The ship has sailed and his back biting on the club and coach has done him no favours.
