2016+ Cadillac CTS-V Clear Side Marker Install

Installed some OEM euro clear side markers on my CTS-V that only cost $50! These will fit ATS-V's as well! Part numbers are below:
Driver Side: 22982314
Passenger Side: 22982315

I wrapped mine with a dark vinyl tint.

I was just looking on eBay, they now have clear (and smoked) WITH Leds for under $50.

Is that legal to change those? Pretty sure it's not here in Canada.

Technically, no. However, I have never been pulled over or failed in inspection for them

Could always just vinyl wrap the OEM side markers black..I think it would cleaner and still have functioning lights.

Hey Jamal, what is the reason why the eBay side marker won't work?

They are a different size and will not fit in the bumper. Also, I believe that the connector for the light isn't the same

Did you change the bulbs to a white bulb?

No. The clear euro versions dont have any lights. It's literally just a clear reflector now

are these legal in US ? I thought amber side lights on front sides of cars were the law here ??

I believe it isnt legal, i think u need an amber light bulb inside the white/clear plastic housing if you go this route.
I don't so much care about the legality of it, (heck most tinted windows are illegal) but i do want them to still light up and not just be reflectors.

needless to say ...Cadillac was clever with the cornering light ....Cadilac's signature back in the 60's were fins and the cornering light...I owned 3 Caddy's from the 60's... all US cars had to have side marker lights in 68....to be there on front side amber...rear side red and lighted.....
