    For glue ups like that, you can use a large, flat piece of wood add some rails and use wedges to apply pressure. Hope this is a useful suggestion. Love the video.

    Do you think with a 50x50x3mm alunimuim tube or the 80x40x2mm can be enough?

    • @Thepracticalengineer

      Yes, I used two short m10 or m8 bolts for that. It doesn't turn a lot so a bearing wasn't really needed

    Nicely. Done ! I do want to bust your chops a little bit because you were wearing a full face shield but didnt have it over you face ? I spent over 20 years in the Woodworking and Machine shops with both hands on. And management of a crew of over 40 experienced Craftsman not only having but properly wearing the safety gear is really important part of my job was picking up guys from the hospital and getting them home everytime someone got. Hurt they all said the same thing when. It happened it happened so fast or after it happened they couldnt beleive that it just happened to them ? I am not necessarily a know it all. But i did have to carry the OSHA safety card for one of the companies i ran So buying the correct. Gear for the employees was. Essential therefore i wanted to point out to you that you too should be aware of pulling that shield down to protect most importantly your eyes God only. Gave us one set for our entire life i did enjoy the scissor lift a great deal mostly because of the high quality of the one you made and that any decent one available to purchase commercially are super expensive to buy and ive concluded a long time ago. My next. Shop will definitely have one as ive suffered. Physical injuries that. Limits my lifting capacity so ive been looking out for one that may have some portability. Or a way of adapting it to have some Incidentally the. Ones ive seen for sale that do have castors i dont think would roll very well with a load on it. And honestly when fabricating with wood or metal Most things are. Heavy loads

    • @Thepracticalengineer
      @Thepracticalengineer  5 років тому

      Hey Craig, You are completely right about the face Shield. When grinding etc I usually just use the normal safety glasses but with this saw I normally always use the face mask because it slings metal everywhere. Not sure why I didn't do it this time.. Anyway, the saw was hell to work with for metal so I got rid of it.
      The scissor lift tables are awesome to work on! This one is more for the looks though
