This 26 minute video took me an hour and a half to watch 😂 I was backing up, pausing, looking up info, making comments, etc. I think it's the most engaged I've been in a model year release video. Thanks for the deep dive 🎉
It’s gunna be a long drawn out year for Harley dealerships. High interest rates along with these elevated prices make affordability of this brand out of reach for the average Harley enthusiast. That CEO kept true to his words: he wanted to make Harley a premium brand. Good for him. Thanks for tanking the brand.
If you adjust for inflation, bikes have not gotten more expensive than they historically were. You can now get a Street Bob (entry to the M8) with a 117, cruise control, abs, traction control, and a passenger seat all standard for $17,199. In 1999 that would be $9000, and in 2010 that would be $11600. I don’t like the CEO, but don’t blame him for the prices, blame the former presidential administration & the federal reserve.
@@usmcvet0313 okay. But up to $5k for paint on some models? I don’t know if I can blame anyone other than Harley mgmt for that. Sounds a bit pricey to me.
@@phiberoptik232 indeed, but we would need to know their paint cost to know. At the very least, you don’t have to get the color upgrade. It’s a want, the billiard gray bikes ride the same.
The street glide looks so much like the indian now. I do like the ultra cool bike. The road glide looks like a challenger as well. Both very cool bikes. I have the old school road glide limited.
I expected them to make some sort of video or videos showing details about each model. Thank you for stepping in and giving us the info The motor company neglected to share 🤜💥🤛
I was looking at either doing a SoundStream V2 update on my 17 Ultra Limited, or upgrading to one of the new Ultras, possibly even moving to Sharknose. The new models will make me hold on a new bike at least until next year and do the head unit update. I have no payments and the SG Ultra looks quite ugly so thanks Harley for saving my wallet! And thanks Ryan and Lurch for the solid update
Thanks guys, much appreciated. Over all kind of lackluster for the 25s. To much of a mix of the old fairings and electronics vs the new styled fairings etc. I have both a 23 LRST and a 20 Triglide CVO which we’d upgrade if… the trikes had the 121VVT motor, new fairing and electronics. At 72+ and still riding the trikes make long distance 2 up really easy but, it’s time for some love to the 3 wheelers.
Harley blew it with the me too touring bike. Why would you ever remove the name ultra and put street glide in its place. And also, why would you ever remove the brake light on the tour pack?
11:28 if you look at the Breakout it says "chrome" but has black fins and chrome covers. Same with the Fat Boy at 11:43. But if you look at the Heritage at 11:59 it says "black" but it also has black fins and chrome covers. It looks like the difference is the exhaust is black on the heritage and the others are chrome. There might be some polishing between the fins on the "chrome" bikes as well. The front forks and "oil reservoir" (side covers) might change color also, but some are black on the "chrome" bikes ... Interesting.
There's lots of things this new "Ultra" doesn't have and I personally don't think it deserves a badge that says ultra. There's literally no difference except lowers and a tour pack. If they don't make an ultra limited, I will probably have to keep my bike forever. A 2017 ultra limited. I was really really hoping for a new ultra limited with the new styling. They couldn't even paint match the chin guard under the headlight, no glossy inner fairing?? This isn't an ultra.
Thank you for a great review. Just my opinion, but I like the new Breakout. It gained two more horsepower, and three more ft/lbs of torque. I like the new enlarged speedometer with the ride modes, and the added LED lighting all around. The new air intake on the right side is more flush which should make the right footpeg more easily accessible. The previous air intake looked great but was problematic for some, especially taller riders. With the cruise control, traction control, and ABS this has the complete package. I plan on purchasing the black.
I know you haven’t laid hands on the Street Glide Limited, but I’m wondering if a tour pack from a 24 model would be able to be a plug-in play on this Street Glide. Get the wrap around lighting and speakers that way. 🤷♂️
I don’t think the tour pack from the older model would be a plug and play for the newer model. Electrical got changed with the new fairing/body redesigned bikes.
Harley sells wiring harness for all the lights and aux power. The speaker pods can be made to be plug and play to existing harness outputs to bag lid speakers with amp upgrade. I did this to mine. Pod radio controls cant be made to work though
09 SG owner and love it....I'm really digging the new design of the lowers. I do not however like that big busty trunk. The slim truck on a SG looks to me in better proportion.
Look at the "Limited" option when you look at the Road Glide. Also, did you notice no rear speakers on the Ltd versions. If you rebook at the site, the Road Glide Ltd depicted is the 2024 model, not a 2025
Umm …..You said the Softail Standard was a carry over model, it was discontinued for 2025. I don’t see the Hydra Glide either. Fat Boy tank badge is to close to the Indian logo. Are the Adventure Sport bikes stamped “Made in Thailand” ?
The lower fairings on the ultra look so out of place to me....I am not sure I will ever get used to them. And no speakers or lights on the TP....HD why do you have to half ass things like this?
Won't even think about a new HD bike until they come out with a TRUE RG Limited. I have a 2020 RGL and love it. I do like very much the new RG fairing and design and wouldn't mind upgrading but I'm not going to grab a regular RG and slap a tourpack on it. Suspension too low, now wired intercom and tons of lights on the back end like my current bike. Guess I'll keep waiting.....
I'm confused. A RG Limited with old style fairing. And a RG Limited package in the "build your own" for $4k that puts the package on the new RG. Who picks the old style with these options.
11:43 You guys kind of glazed over the fact that the Fat Boy is back in standard trim. Last year it was only available in "special" trim. And I love the rims on the Fat Boy. Kind of a hybrid disk/spoke.
Ryan help me out here, If you have a robot spraying these models on the assembly line. How can Harley justify over 2 grand mark up on one color over the base color
Speaking on the cruiser section since that’s my price range.Paint is super lacking and dull this year imo (especially on the Street Bob). Those 2-1 from the factory will still be swapped out to.
I like the new Ultra but no standard heated seat? I like the lower storage but I don’t like that it isn’t lockable…or at least looks that way. But overall, I’m glad to see the Ultra.
That’s correct. Not yet anyway. You can buy the 2024 RG Limited with older fairing design. I think they'll eventually do a Road Glide Ultra with new fairing, just like the Street Glide Ultra they just announced.
Mostly very disappointing. 1) Street Glide Ultra was an afterthought with cheap, less functional lowers and a terrible bolt on tour pack with no lights - no thanks. 2) Softails getting 117 was a good idea. Hate the two into one exhausts. 3) Why not make an actual hooligan pan America instead of a few minor changes. 4) Colors are decent. 5) Prices are shockingly horrible. Overall, going to be a tough year for Harley.
I really like the new street glide ultra. I have a ultra limited atm and the redesign of the lower fairings and relocation of the radiator to increase storage is a benefit. My only bitch is that It would be nice if the colour range of the chrome bikes matched what is available for the black options.
Very interesting the FAT BOB is gone and the US still has the SOAFTTAIL STANDAED where as downunder no SOFTTAIL but the sport gluid is still here must be to do with sales but still I find it interesting and if the FAT BOB is being redone and how long will it take.
I like the colors on the CVO ST, but I am disappointed that they did not bring back a normal Road Glide ST with the 121 for the price of $30,000 Harley is really missing the sales boat. At the end of 2024 dealers had to discount CVO ST’s huge money for someone to buy them. It is just too much money for what you get. That bike should get central locking bags, the rear speakers, option of a tall boy seat.
So disappointed on the Ultra. Lurch waited a year just like me for a real let down. Waiting to build out a 2024 says it all. No rear speakers, no trunk lightening, no lights on the saddle bags and $1800 bucks for the only color that actually looks decent. Will have to take a pass on a so called Ultra. Bummer
Chrome vs Black is the cost to produce more or less for Harley? I agree not against black but there is lot out there. I wish there was some more color options on chrome models. Trikes w/no upgrades disappointing.
Chrome has always cost more than paint, especially now with fewer chrome facilities due to EPA issues. HD has been successful switching to paint and increasing their profits. If buyers wanted chrome again at levels seen years ago, chrome would be an upcharge.
I was waiting to see the Ultra. Very disappointed in the colors. I am a chrome man as well. I ended up putting my money down today on a 25 Brilliant Red Chrome and added the tour pack and lower fairings. Also added Sundowner seat and Stage III fairing speakers.
@@martyboddie9953 there's definitely not a "limited" package in the build your own section!! Where did you see that because I've looked everywhere?? Thanks.

Yes i see a 3995 "Limited Package" appears to be basically the same as the Street Glide Ultra. Seems Weird to do the 2 different approaches. Also the softail standard and the touring bikes with old fairings, only show 2024 models.
BMW have good bikes no doubt. Not a direct comparison though. Very different and they serve a different demographic and what each particular rider may want or need. A Harley doesn't feel like a BMW and a BMW doesn't feel or sound like a Harley. Apples to oranges. I love and support all brands on this channel. I ride several metric bikes aside from my Harley.
Thanks for watching. Actually, I have both a chrome trim and black trim Harley. The chrome by far hides dirt and dust better. Black does not. Also, my black trim bike showed marks and rock chips etc in a bad way over other colors. My experience with both. Ride safe and thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Lurch, there are so many better options than Harley, please bike shop carefully. Unless it has to be HD for you club. Just for full disclosure because I’m sure many are wondering, I have owned a road glide and a road glide ultra and an 883 so I know all about Harley.
It'l be a Harley for sure for Lurch. I own other brands too. But Harley is the best selling touring motorcycle in North America for a reason going on many many years. Thanks for watching.
Stop it! “Special black paint” you will pay more for because it’s special. Or in other words, the most popular color(s) will be the most expensive while the least popular will be the base color(s). Make sense? Harley knows. $$$$$.
I just feel like Harley has completely ignored the purists. I don’t want electronic crap on my touring bike. I want chrome on new Road King. I’m only 40 and feel like my ‘15 street glide standard will be the newest and most tech I’ll ever want. They’ve priced themselves out of the family man’s salary and more tech means more headaches. I’ll keep the old stuff running…
Will depend on the aftermarket. If there will be enough cool stuff to customize, I also see a big potential… otherwise it will be as irrelevant as the Sportster S
Yawn @HD Why can't you put the Rev Max in a 48 type chassis so it has a decent look ? Nothing here for us that want something no as ugly and plasticky like the Nightster.

LOL, hopefully it came across that we were totally joking and poking at the "special black paint". We weren't serious.
@@RyanUrlacher 100%. I was just adding to it. We all know, ya know? I know, I know!!! All sweet in the saddle. LOL! You're doing it right! 👍
The star of the show is the Pan America ST. IMO
Will depend on the aftermarket. If there will be enough cool stuff to customize, I also see a big potential… otherwise it will be as irrelevant as the Sportster S
Thanks for the comments and for watching.
They have the new Ultra limited package for that new road glide
Yes, minus some things though.
I am really disappointed I was hoping the sport glide with a 117 would have been amazing or a fat bob with a 117 and a better paint job
@@ashleyhill5824 sport glide love ❤️
@@ashleyhill5824 sadly both got dropped, and they were really good bikes.
I think many Pre 2023 StreetGlides and RoadGlides are going to increase in value if this nonsense keeps up with Harley
Yawn @HD
Why can't you put the Rev Max in a 48 type chassis so it has a decent look ?
Nothing here for us that want something no as ugly and plasticky like the Nightster.
Harley has lost me
