Oh come on I thought Space Jam 2 was cool.
@@raymondmaciel4047 the first one was better . But the 2nd one had some ok moments in it . Also Hulu has both by the way.

@@mr.fartman can you stop spamming in the comments. You obviously don't understand that you can get banned for it .
William Dafoe’s face is one of the scariest things ever.
I can’t wait to see him in beetlejuice 2!
That's why he got to be Green Goblin
Extremely scary 😰
I’m trying to think of a role where he doesn’t scare the ghost out of people. Only thing that comes to mind is Jesus.
Prob why so many want him as the joker lol. Very expressive look and presence about him
I don't blame WatchMojo for wanting to forget these dishonorable mentions:
- Mean Girls 2
- Neverending Story 3
- Tentecolino (sequel to Legend of the Titanic)
- Star Wards 9: Rise of Skywalker
- Jaws 3D
- Secret of Nihm 2: Timmy to the Rescue
- Charlotte's Web 2: Wilber's Great Adventure
- Beauty and the Beast: Belle's Magical World
- Home Alone 5 & 6
I would want to forget them too. What other sequel should we forget existed that I didn't mention?
Gremlins 2
Terminator Dark Fate
Star Wars 7 8 & 9
Every new X-Men movie after X-Men Origins
So many DC and Marvel movies
Home Alone should've stopped at 2.
@@lolahernandez6871 Preach it!
Matrix resurrections😂😂
Replace Rise of Skywalker with Attack of the Clones
Fun fact: I watched Expendables 4 at the premiere, and I was all alone in the entire theater.
you weren't alone. A theater employee was probably jacking off in the corner.
Same here at my local theater 😂.
I was at the theater to see Rob Cohen’s worst movie called Stealth. (signing)All by myself.
Couldn’t resist. Lol😂
While Superman IV was bad, one of the quotes from the movie is still a damn good quote and would be a perfect lesson for the world. “There will be peace when the people of the world want it so badly that their governments would have no choice but to give it to them.”
97 was an absolute terrible year for movie sequels
Speed 2: cruise control
Batman and Robin
And mortal kombat: annihilation
True, but we had more great films that year too including Boogie Nights, Contact, and Men in Black.
@@richperez2168 contact was alright, up until that weak twist that the "alien" was her dad
@@l3k446 Well, yeah, I can't argue with that one. Lol
You could make the argument that An American Werewolf in Paris could go on that list.
@@chefbreccia2642 That one was pretty damn terrible. Come to think of it, 1997 was one of the worst years for CGI, with a couple of exceptions like Volcano and Titanic.
17:45, Son of The Mask should've been Number 1 on the list
If _Jaws_ gave birth to blockbusters, who gave the green light to _Jaws: The Revenge_ will remain one of shark movies’ biggest mysteries. Has Ellen Brody suffered enough after _Jaws 3D_ or not? You tell me! _Jaws_ is one of those franchises that should never have had more than two movies.
You are right and you made me miss the jaws ride in Florida. They actually did a fantastic job with it.
At least jaws 3d is a better movie than many of those garbage cgi films that they tend to just throw out every single year
How is Highlander 2 not on this list?!
I was thinking the same thing, like it's truly more terrible than half of these films
The very fact that they made a sequel to a film that concluded its story with no wiggle room for more story, then taking the mystery of the immortals and revealing them to be aliens from another planet, and not even attempting to make it make sense (Why are they immortal on Earth? If Ramirez and Connor knew each other on Zeit, then why did Connor not know him when they met in the first film?). Then add to it that the plot is stupid. They literally have it explained to the villain that sending his goons back will reset everything when Connor was already old, defeated, and clearly decided not to return, but he does it anyway, then he acts stupefied when it's explained that he fucked up exactly the way he was cautioned. The Renegade Cut was made to patch it all up, but only replaced plot holes with different plot holes (If they're from the past, why does everything look futuristic?)
Good call!
And yes, before you ask, Batman & Robin movie, not the cartoon of the same name, is considered a sequel and WILL be ridiculed once more
Your comment is confusing. Why would anyone ask if a sequel is a sequel?
It was made for Television not in movie theaters .
@@antoniobotello4996no it wasn’t.
If I was Joel Schumacher I would have explained away the "Bat credit card" and the puns as an attempt to do the movie like the 60s Batman TV series, but the jokes just didn't come off.
In fact, I think Schumacher should have changed course and made his Bay films more like the Adam West TV Series as full parody, as a nod to the show.
@antoniobotello4996 not the version with George Clooney, Uma Thurman and The Terminator
Here's some trivia for you guys. There was supposed to be a Speed 3 and Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock (She was only rumored to be in it) Was supposed to be signed onto the film. The script initially said it was going to take place on a Plane. But before the movie even entered production let alone started Filming, you can probably guess why it never saw the light of day. A certain event that in the early 2000s on the 9th month happened and that's why we never saw and why we may never see it. Basically 9/11 happened and everyone took actual Terrorism serious. It would've been the wrong time and the wrong place to film. Too Surreal.
Halloween 6, Blair witch 2 and BB 2000 were victims of studio interference. If you want a slightly better version of curse of Michael Myers, then check out the Producer's cut.
I still can't fathom what made the makers of "Baby Geniuses" think anybody wanted more when they made "Superbabies: Bay Geniuses 2". That it's only #15 on this list is even more baffling, considering how much worse it was received by critics and fans alike.
Money. The first one was very successful at the box-office.
I was 10 when this movie came out, but even I knew how stupid it was.
Interesting fact about Speed 2 - Sandra Bullock starred in this movie so that she could get backing for a passion project of hers named Hope Floats
Jaws Should have stayed as a stand alone movie
Nah jaws 2 was fun
Let you count you back to those terrible Home Alone sequels! After Lost in New York, the series started to go downhill!
The Legend of Zorro (2005) is the reason we haven't had a new Zorro movie!
Here's an idea: Top 10 Worst Revivals of TV Shows
Bel-Air should be #1.
@@WestLegend03bel air had good moments but wasn’t the fresh prince
Hearing Jaws scream out like a dinosaur is a HUGE win in my book!

I think you mistook Alien 3 with Resurrection.
You forgot one more the godfather 3
@@arthurjones3670 Disagree with nine of those: Halloween: Resurrection (least-favorite of the franchise, but I still enjoy it), The Matrix Resurrections (I prefer the original three, but I still enjoyed the fourth film), Transformers: Age of Extinction (found it to be a lot of fun in a short amount of time), Avatar: The Way of Water (second-favorite film of 2022), Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (second-favorite of the franchise, behind At World's End; On Stranger Tides is my least-favorite, but I still love it), Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (I'll need to rewatch the other films to give it a ranking, but I love it a great deal), the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy (my fifth-, eighth-, and third-favorites of the eleven films, with A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back as my top two), and Halloween Ends (a lot of fun and some beautiful kills), Also love Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder.
Friday the Thirteenth "Freddy Takes Manhattan" is at least something I can watch in a "so bad, it's funny" mood. I got a good chuckle out of Jason doing a one-shot KO in the boxing match. Oh, and just lifting his mask was enough to turn a bunch of street punks into quivering jelly.
@@jeffreyclinard2002 Is that supposed to be Jason Takes Manhattan?
I think "A Good Day to Die Hard" also deserved its place on that list.
Yes, one of the most disappointing movies I've ever watched.
We will always support this channel. Theyre one of the best.
How about for the next video, do the top 20 worst animated sequels?
I'm they have covered that already just as they have covered this topic before.
Ralph Breaks the Internet
Toy Story 4 and Incredibles 2.
I can forgive leaving out Highlander 2. There was only one.
Halloween 6 (Producers Cut) is one of my favorite Halloween movies. I hate that so many people despise the interesting story they were trying to tell.
Agreed! Terrible choice for thr list
@@themaskedman6489 I think the Producer's Cut cleared up some of the issues the theatrical version had. I don't think of it as one of the best films, but I honestly don't dislike any of the films with Michael in them. In my ranking, The Curse of Michael Myers is ahead only Resurrection, which I feel I would hate if it wasn't for Busta Rhymes.
Same here,it's always been my favorite one next to 1 and 2,and I've always hated the way everyone always wants to shit on it.

How about top 10 movies that never made a 3rd part to the series 😊
*...or maybe top 10 /20 movies that never needed sequels?*
How did Coming 2 America 2 not make this list !?!
1st movie in awhile that I started and didn't finish
Dishonorable Mentions:
*Multiple Direct-To-Video Disney Sequels
-There are several DTV Disney Sequels and they were a total gamble when it came to quality. Sure we got some good ones like Aladdin: King of Thieves, An Extremely Goofy Movie and BOTH Lion King Sequels. But on the other hand, we also got more mediocre or just plain bad ones like Mulan 2, Hunchback of Notre Dame 2, and Belle's Magical World.
*The Legend Of Zorro
-The First Zorro reboot with Antonio Banderas was SO GOOD and it's so hard to believe the same people were involved with this. The characters are idiots who don't learn anything, the villains and action are far too cartoonish, stupid and silly, the writing isn't smart or clever, the whole entire movie just feels like it was written by a child! It killed the hope of there ever being a Zorro movie in the near future.
*Transformers: The Last Knight
-The Michael Bay Transformers movies got progressively worse until this FINALLY ended it for good.
Fortunately, this gave rise to a prequel/reboot series where Michael Bay did not direct any of them.
*Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
-This feels less like a movie and more like an excuse for Director William Shatner to live out a bizarre flight-of-fancy.
I didn't like Pochontas 2, that was the wrost
Cinderella II: Dreams Come True is one of the worst films I've ever seen, with a four out of ten.
Terminator: Dark Fate deserved the spot more than Genesys. Genesys held my interest at least. Dark Fate was a steaming pile from start to finish. As far as I'm concerned only the first two were canon. Everything else has been John Conner's PTSD nightmares after beating SkyNet and fearing some loose end.
I think of Dark Fate as the third-best of the series, only behind the original two. Genisys is the only one I haven't seen.
Say what you will about the other Terminator sequels, at least they had redeeming qualities. Terminator 3 had an excellent ending that saves it from being terrible. And Terminator: Salvation gave us bigger glimpse at the future that John Connor lives in everyday to fight. On top of that, it has a solid cast with Christian Bale, Bryce Dallas Howard, and the late Anton Yelchin.
Trust me I went to the theaters for dark fate. Biggest waste ever
@@Waaagh40KRed I honestly don't have many issues with the Terminator sequels I've seen. I think all of those I've watched have great stories, casts, scores, and visuals.
@@Spiralredd Would have loved to see it in theaters. Didn't have the fortune of seeing it until 2021.
It's amazing how many of these terrible films have good actors in them. John Voigt, Jason Clarke, Gene Hackman, Willem Dafoe, Tommy Lee Jones, James Remar, Alan Cumming and Michael Caine all leant their considerable talents to these stinkers. It just goes to show what some actors will stoop to for a paycheck. I especially liked the ones where multiple original cast members wanted nothing to do with the sequels which showed good judgment on their part.
James Remar pales in comparison to Chris Lambert
Even these actors rescued their careers. Can't blame it all on them.
I didn't even realise expendables 4 had been released. Didn't even see it advertised or listed in cinemas here in Australia.
All of the Home Alone made after Home Alone 2 lost in New York
Hi Kirsten have a great day and love your voice 😍
Now you need to do a list of the Worst Prequel Movies ever.
Rick hated the Space jam cameo so much he searched the multiverse and killed the Rick and morty who was in the movie.
I think the reboot of Mortal Kombat was pretty good, all things considered.
What we really need a sequel of is The Room.
Jesus Christ, have you lost your mind???
Is that the one the guy says you're tearing me apart Lisa that's OTT acting right there but faf 😅😅😅
"We don't need a sequel for" The Room". We don't. It's bullshit! We don't need any sequel... Oh, hi Mark! ".
The Room is being remade with Bob Odenkirk from Better Call Saul.
Never ending story 3 should be on here
What about Ice Age: Collision Course?
I thought the franchise would end after the fourth movie.
I wouldnt say Space Jam: A New Legacy is a sequel to the original Space Jam being, its more of a reboot of an idea. None of the villains came back, no Swackhammer, no Michael Jordan lol
*Being a fan of the original movie, I was hyped for the new version. I want that hour and 55 minutes of my life back.*
If "The Room" had a sequel, it would of been named "The Other Room". 😆
You missed Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice.
Speed 2 is terrible, but hear me out. It gave us that Willem Dafoe meme face that has brought joy to millions. I'd say it balances out.
4:33. It's been 25 years since this film came out, & here's a list of all of the cast members who have died since its release:

Grover Washington Jr., 1999.
Kathleen Freeman, 2001.
Jeff Morris, 2004.
Lou Rawls, 2006.
Wilson Pickett, 2006.
Billy Preston, 2006.
James Brown, 2006.
Bo Diddley, 2008.
Isaac Hayes, 2008.
Koko Taylor, 2009.
Alan "Mr. Fabulous" Rubin, 2011.
Clearance Clemmons, 2011.
Donald "Duck" Dunn, 2012.
B.B. King, 2014.
Lonnie Brooks, 2017.
Matt "Guitar" Murphy, 2018.
Aretha Franklin, 2018.
Dr. John, 2019.
I like that Rick killed the Rick and Morty from the Space Jam II universe. "They welcomed death! They wanted out, Morty!"
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! My list has Home Alone 2 (and 3) and Under Siege 2: Dark Territory. 🤣
I prefer Home Alone 2: Lost In New York over the original.
If you hate Home Alone 2 there's something wrong with you
Cannonball Run 2. Sure, the first one was largely an excuse plot to have a mess of Hollywood stars have fun on the set, but it was a fun ride. Oh, and it's the answer to a trivia questions I've posed several times (the question being "In what film does Roger Moore drive an Aston-Martin with smoke screen, oil slick, and ejector seats?"). Nobody has gotten it right yet (everybody opts for a James Bond film).
The actors involved in the sequel may or may not have had fun making it, but nobody else enjoyed it.
”Exorcist 2; The Heretic” and recently ”The Exorcist; Believer”. ”Alien Resurrection” and all of what came after Alien3.
Blues Brothers 2000: yes was not the best that it could have been. But for those who have a deep passion for the Original Blues Brothers not even including the movie, seeing everyone they could get on this sequel made it that much more heart felt. Shit thats what I was grown up on, my dad would go to the SNL set after work to see the classics at their best. We still wack each other with rulers & antennas sometimes when we’re all together. The sequel just proved that the Blues can live on, & I will forever remember 634-5789 😂💙🚔🎤
In 2000 when John Goodman Hosted Dan Ackroyd Cameoed as Elwood Blues during the news segment.
Personally, space jam 2 was alright,it has flaws, but it was alright
I still have fun with the Film alot
not sure if anyone remembers the sequel to the Rocky Horror Picture Show ("Shock Treatment"), but it was a real steaming pile of fertilizer.
I was actually going to say this.
Dumb and Dumber sequel wasn’t needed either.
My #1 pick
Nope, not even the prequel
Paul Blart is an affront to the art of film
Terminator Dark Fate belongs to this list
I like the sequels to Blue Brothers and Independence Day.
I think Jurassic World Dominion, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, Rocky V, Karate Kid 3, Home Alone 3-5 should of all been mentioned.
Wow really.... Rocky V and KK 3!!??.... thats rough!!!... they're not that bad but wtf do i know, cause i actually like Cadyshack 2 and Speed 2
I've had 3 double feature nights of late, each started with a stellar cinema classic and followed by its comparatively sub-par, totally-thrown off-its-universe's-axis (might not be a phrase) of a sequel:
1) American Graffiti (1973) and More American Graffiti (1979)
2) The French Connection (1971) and The French Connection II (1975)
3) Love Story (1970) and Oliver's Story (1978)*
(*watched this last Tuesday; Ryan O'Neill died a few days later RIP)

Jaws: God
Jaws 2: Acceptable
Jaws 3: Awful
Jaws The Revenge: Its a big piece of💩
Rocky 4 and Superman 4 both my favorites, late 80s kid style
Home Alone 3, Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves, Son of the Mask, Freddys Dead: the Final Nightmare, The Final Destination, The Santa Clause 3, Jurassic World Dominion
You forgot Smokey and the Bandit 3, Meatballs 2, Dumb and Dumber 2, return of the Living Dead 2, and Highlander 2 - The Quickening.
I was working at the Wynn/Encore during the filming of Mall Cop 2. Needless to say that hotel is tainted forever.
I agree on Son Of The Mask, Mortal Kombat Annihilation, Batman & Robin, Independence Day Resurgence, Zoolander 2 and Terminator Geniys.
Dumb & Dumber 2 should be on here.
No I like it
MKA was okay in terms of plot, but the dialogue and CGI were horrible. The only redeeming bit is James Remar's chiseled arms after Raiden becomes human. (Batman & Robin is also cheesy goodness!)
Speed 2...was simply written so Willem could grimace at the screen a bunch and be his generally villainous self. 😂
Hooray for the roaring shark at nr. 1 🙌
Highlander2/ Smokey&the bandit 3/ AlienVPredator 2/ home alone 3/4/ Star Wars (prequels/sequels (ep1,2,3,7,8,9) StarTrek 5
I can't comment on all these films as I've not seen them but heres what i will say about those i have:
Blair Witch 2-Very good
Paul Blart 2-It was all right
Halloween 6-I like it
Terminator Genisys-Enjoyable
Superman 4-Prefer it over Superman 2
Speed 2-I like it
Batman & Robin-Love it. Prefer it over Batman Returns
Son of the Mask-Its all right but it is daft in parts
Jaws the Revenge-I found it all right
0:01 this line delivery never fails to make me laugh like a maniac
I think it even found its way in interactions between the characters in Mortal Kombat 1.
Any MK film should feature that line, as Shao Khan actually said it in the early games; just not delivered like *that* ...
🤣🤣
@@tomseville2345 Would love to see a quick reference by Martyn Ford as Shao Kahn next year (or whenever the next film comes outl though, judging by how production is going, it appears to be next year).
Basic Instinct 2 is a guilty pleasure of mine. So bad, it's great!
Highlander 2. Aliens v Predator Requiem
Where Blair Witch 2 got it wrong was you could tell its actors. We actually were wondering if it was real or not when we saw the 1st movie.
I love Batman films! I agree that Batman and Robin was like a some kids failed science project. But the only reason I’ve ever watched it since was that my former partner and to this day one of my closet ones enjoyed the campiness of the movie. I’ve only sat down to watch it to make my best pal happy. One of the worst sequels ever especially one of the most badly made superhero sequels next to Superman IV The Quest For Peace. By the way I also feel that no matter how many people play the Man Of Steel Christopher Reeves will always be Superman in both my eyes as well as my heart!
20:08 "Which sequel do you like to erase from your memory."
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. It failed at every single level. The story, the writing, the directing, the acting, the dialogue, the editing, the special effects and that it is - objectively - a gigantic slap to the face to Resident Evil on all fronts; as game franchise and a movie franchise.
All the sequels after Terminator 2 suck. Especially the last one that one is actually the worst. The only thing I still want from that series is to see a prequel to the very first one to show the actual original timeline but I'm pretty sure they fuck all that up.
I disagree
How the heck is Sace Jam 2 better considered than Terminator Genesys? If there is a Terminator sequel that deserves to be on the list is the last one, not Genesys (masterpiece compared with what they did in the last movie). And Episodes VII, VIII and IX? Really?
I like both SJ2 and Terminator Genisys
Highlander 2 was definitely the worst sequel ever made.
TBF, Space Jam A new Legacy is more like a reboot in a bad modernizing junkfest to harm us nostalgia
fans from the 1990's. LeBron James got a award by the Razzies. For his worst performance but same as Michael Jordan.
However the original had Pepe Le Pew and the sexiest bunny around: Lola Bunny. WB should've listening us fans of what we want.
Looney Tunes, basketball, cool soundtrack, laughs with heartwarming moments and especially the style of the 1990s.
Until that flick came, it didn't make a slam dunk. Nuff said.
I find it hilarious WatchMojo will NEVER get over Mortal Kombat 😂 being a terrible sequel
I would argue one of the creative sequels are Final Destination series. Sure the main theme is escaping death, but there are so many creative way of making people paranoid.
Right!!! And the Final Destination series left lasting memories on everyone who's ever seen it, because ask anyone if they switch lanes if there's a logger in front of them & I guarantee they say yes😂😂😂😂😂😂 & there's a few deaths in the series like that for me that have given me permanent paranoia! Sheesh!

didn't know Rudd was in Halloween. I only ever watched the first 3 and the rob zombie adaptations
It’s his first staring role in a film
Halloween kills and Halloween ends couldn't be on this list
I always thought it humorous that Bob Hoskins always hated his role in the super Mario brothers movie back into early 90s. Um Bob, Did you forget you were in son of the mask?
The fight with the bird in Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 gave Kevin Jim the idea to do Zookeeper.
They should have had the dude who played Loki in The Mask 2 play Loki in the MCU.
Batman and Robin.
Transformers 2 to Transformers 5.
Expendables 4.

There are indeed some truly bad sequels to good movies. Some that come to mind are:
Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit
The Neverending Story 2: The Next Chapter
The Jewel of the Nile (sequel to Romancing the Stone)
How is Transformers: Rise of the Beasts not on this list?
It had a dude wearing a dead Transformer like an Iron Man suit.
Troll 2, anyone?
Die Hard 2, 4, and 5. Only 1 and 3 were good, and they were a lot of fun.
The 3 worst sequels that I ever saw were Grease 2, Smokey and the Bandit 3 and the worst was Cannonball Run 2

I lasted about 5 minutes.
Believe me I wish I could erase “
The Exorcist” and the “ Jaws ” movies from my memory for sure I am terrified of the water and very wary of Percy Jackson as a result of
PAUL BLART: MALL COP 2 and ZOOLANDER 2 were okay. They were definitely Oscar-worthy compared to the other 17 movies on this list. INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE may not be better than the original, but it’s almost as good and the visual effects in that sequel are an improvement. I’m still hoping we see ID3 one day.
I agree with you about the visual effects, they were very good. But I doubt we'll ever get an ID3. ID2 wasn't really profitable and I heard the studio doesn't have faith in another movie.
@@hcaballero57 I know. That’s heartbreaking, especially after that cliffhanger ending.
I didn't think Resurgence was that bad either.

It's pretty safe to add that ALL the decent horror movies have had one or more sequels that just should not have happened.
