    Angle grinders are extremely powerful and dangerous. I don’t recommend using any of the cutting (saw) type wheels. A reciprocating saw (Sawzall) or even a good jigsaw with the proper blade is usually a safer alternative. It’s true that a lot of jobs are best accomplished with an angle grinder, but learn the safest way before attempting and Always wear a face shield AND safety glasses. If the disk shatters, the shrapnel flies off at close to 200 mph and will really injure you seriously. Be safe and learn how from someone with experience.

    • @timkrouse345
      @timkrouse345 Рік тому +1

      -also- ALWAYS make sure your face/body are not in the plane of rotation - that way if something flys off it has much less chance of hitting you. Same with a Dremel.

      UA-cam some grinder injuries. It's the most dangerous tool you can own.
      Treat it like a pet cobra that is already pissed at you.
      They're awesome, but safety is paramount. 13,800 RPMs... so 200 milliseconds of skin contact = 2760 revolutions of the disc diameter through your flesh =
      Pink Mist.

    Never ever hold an angle grinder in one hand and your workpiece in the other - especially when using a suicide sawblade. Yes, that’s what they’re called, for good reason. Also, that chainsaw disc is dangerous even if used correctly - watch the stumpynubs video where he nearly lost his hand if you dont believe me.
    Please please understand the dangers of angle grinders and use them properly and safely.

    Number 8 MUST E AVOIDED AT ALL COST !!! I’ve seen several fingers chopped off and one hand severely maimed : the chain saw cutters cut on both sides so you can get a side ah kickback very fast and that falls on your hand no matter how hard you try to keep holding the machine with both hands. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS
    NUMBER 5 is a blade which is not designed to be used with an angle grinder but on a smaller table saw. It will not be straight (it clearly shows on the video) and there is no safety to have the tool slip of your hand if the blades gets onto a hard spot or metal (nail embedded in wood...) and if the blade is held asked it will lock and bad things may happen.
    As a general rule do not use an angle grinder for a different purpose : there is no safety stop on this tool and it can turn very dangerous very fast if not used properly.
    I find this video very misleading.

    I had a lot of old pipes and rebar to cut up and from what I read ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxPDBfLu68o58Aw85O_J-zIFfjJARBhp-3 this would be the tool for the job. Since I had never used one, I watched a couple of youtube videos and I'm so glad I did. Some really good safety tips, which I followed, and this tool did a splendid job. One good thing to know is the weight of the tool puts just about the right amount of pressure on the metal I was cutting, so I didn't have to use a lot of pressure, which is more likely to jam the tool. It made fast work of my job.

      Why is it dangerous?

    • @Alex-on-youtube
      @Alex-on-youtube 3 роки тому +2

      @@mattinjask7735 because skin cuts, which is bad, obviously. But a glove (sometimes) catches, and that can cause the grinder to pull into it. This makes the grinder travel around the fabric, cutting through it and anything below it. I've got a scar on two of my fingers from this happening. And whilst I got away very lightly it was an eye opening experience.

      @@mattinjask7735 Because if the disc comes in contact with a glove it likely bites in and grabs hold of it, causing worse injuries than without wearing gloves.

    Посмотри внимательно на прижимную гайку! Не надо все диски крепить одинаково. Иначе некоторые твои подписчики, из-за твоего не знания, могут пострадать. Прижимная гайка, в зависимости от диска, закручивается либо "нижней" либо "верхней" стороной.
