Angle grinders are extremely powerful and dangerous. I don’t recommend using any of the cutting (saw) type wheels. A reciprocating saw (Sawzall) or even a good jigsaw with the proper blade is usually a safer alternative. It’s true that a lot of jobs are best accomplished with an angle grinder, but learn the safest way before attempting and Always wear a face shield AND safety glasses. If the disk shatters, the shrapnel flies off at close to 200 mph and will really injure you seriously. Be safe and learn how from someone with experience.
-also- ALWAYS make sure your face/body are not in the plane of rotation - that way if something flys off it has much less chance of hitting you. Same with a Dremel.
UA-cam some grinder injuries. It's the most dangerous tool you can own. Treat it like a pet cobra that is already pissed at you. They're awesome, but safety is paramount. 13,800 RPMs... so 200 milliseconds of skin contact = 2760 revolutions of the disc diameter through your flesh = Pink Mist.
Watch out when using the woodcutter discs! I put 1 of those through my hand 3 weeks ago and I'm currently recovering from the surgery to repair the tendon and joint damage caused by the bloody thing.
those lamb wool pad makes for angle grinder can withstand a high speed, i often used it.. thus using a chromium polishing bar compound need heat for it to work better..

As a granite fabricator/installer I drive safety guys nuts. To cut through 3cm granite requires use of a 5 1/2" or 6" blade on a 4 1/2" grinder without a guard. It would be to unwieldy to use a 9" grinder for precision cuts...

Since I had never used one, I watched a couple of youtube videos and I'm so glad I did. Some really good safety tips, which I followed, and this tool did a splendid job. One good thing to know is the weight of the tool puts just about the right amount of pressure on the metal I was cutting, so I didn't have to use a lot of pressure, which is more likely to jam the tool. It made fast work of my job.
Number 8 MUST E AVOIDED AT ALL COST !!! I’ve seen several fingers chopped off and one hand severely maimed : the chain saw cutters cut on both sides so you can get a side ah kickback very fast and that falls on your hand no matter how hard you try to keep holding the machine with both hands. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS NUMBER 5 is a blade which is not designed to be used with an angle grinder but on a smaller table saw. It will not be straight (it clearly shows on the video) and there is no safety to have the tool slip of your hand if the blades gets onto a hard spot or metal (nail embedded in wood...) and if the blade is held asked it will lock and bad things may happen. As a general rule do not use an angle grinder for a different purpose : there is no safety stop on this tool and it can turn very dangerous very fast if not used properly. I find this video very misleading.

I worked in carpentry and welding for several years and had my fair share of minor nicks and scrapes but for the most part felt confident operating most tools. But bladed attachments on angle grinders terrify me. There's a reason guys in my shop called them "meat axes"
@@mattinjask7735 because skin cuts, which is bad, obviously. But a glove (sometimes) catches, and that can cause the grinder to pull into it. This makes the grinder travel around the fabric, cutting through it and anything below it. I've got a scar on two of my fingers from this happening. And whilst I got away very lightly it was an eye opening experience.

Bad safety work. Never hold a grinder in one hand and your work piece in the other use flat stones flat. Never use the side if a cutter to grind. Never move the cutter side to side on edge. Use gloves. This guy is a hack. Do not do what he does.
При пыльном распиле, меняйте угол болгарки чтобы пыль уходила вперёд, а не назад в болгарку и в себя. Так аккуратнее будет, себя не испачкаете, и срок работы болгарки увеличите, ибо пыль убивает механические части болгарки.
@@MrAlexidi вообще то смысл процесса в том, чтоб аккуратно отрезать, а не чтоб не запачкаться.. плюс на любом предприятии вас очень жёстко отымеет ТБ, если будете резать "от себя", поскольку так высокая вероятность заклинивания диска с резким ударом, что приводит к разрушению диска, повреждению болгарки и травмам. Набирайтесь опыта, уважаемый, а потом давайте советы. Успехов!!!

The polishing pads should only be used at low speeds. Hi speeds cause excessive heat and makes the pad break down much faster.

I've got a KAT wood carving disc and that's one tool you have to treat with the utmost respect. Chainsaw on a wheel turning 10,000+ RPM's.
It's super dangerous. I know a guy that got seriously injured when it binded in a piece of wood. I would rather not use it at all, IMO.

You need a compound to fill the scratches to give it that mirrored look. So it's a polish compound. Different types for different metals

@@MrAlexidi вообще то смысл процесса в том, чтоб аккуратно отрезать, а не чтоб не запачкаться.. плюс на любом предприятии вас очень жёстко отымеет ТБ, если будете резать "от себя", поскольку так высокая вероятность заклинивания диска с резким ударом, что приводит к разрушению диска, повреждению болгарки и травмам. Набирайтесь опыта, уважаемый, а потом давайте советы. Успехов!!!
@@РоманКосенко-ш4у Уважаемый, диск может заклинить в обеих случаях, смотря откуда начинать рез. И не надо умничать. На видео он вообще не правильно режет.
