I have the same year model (metallic black and gold) and like you, I do things properly. I recently fully serviced mine, and yes, the sparkplugs were a pig to do but, worth it and properly torqued. It's peace of mind knowing everything is how Kawasaki built it. The fiddly bit was refitting the fairings. I love my bike. It's a keeper.
Great to see somebody giving the great zx14 some care she deserves. I just hit my first year ownership of a 2009 zx14 special edition. Has the candy burnt orange colour. What I have noticed a difference of my bike to any of them over on the other side of the pond.... I have a rear seat cowing. It really changes the look of the beast for sure.
Awesome videos!! I’m in the process of doing some of this now. Still have the cam sensor to replace. Hoping to not have to remove the tank for that one.
Love my Gen 2 ZZR1400. Does everything well. Can't see me ever selling it unless they come out with something spectacular to replace it like a supercharged version. Test rode the H2 sx and whilst it's a lovely bike there's no replacement for displacement.
Hi again mark enjoyed the video again me personally i would keep the tiger as am a bit older than yourself and a few stones heavier lol my days of head down arse up are over with also the sore wrist i have just got my self a honda valadero 1000xl so looking forward to getting out this summer in it . Also keep the videos coming take care safe travels 👍
I’d pick the ZZR before the Triumph and I think you will in the end. The Tiger is a top heavy lump but the low centre of gravity on the ZZR makes it feel very light. Then there is the comfort and again the ZZR wins, yes it is a beast but it’s a nice beast to have. Good luck Mark whichever way you go. Thanks for the video
Good video Mark zzr nice bike but the tiger 100% keep I have the same tiger same colour love it had lots of different bikes over the the years can't fault the triumph stay safe bud 👍
As previous.... I'm a big triumph fan but there is just something mean a stupidly outrageous about the zzr. So I vote keep the kawasaki. I've only ever swapped from speed triple to sprint, hung my nose over a tiger and like you my head was saying tiger and Sprint, however my hearts with my speed triple, the others just didn't tickle me the same. So follow your heart as you will only regret it if you sell it.
You should have steel wooled the down pipes while you were in there. BUT OVERALL , GOOD JOB. I would keep the 14 all day long and get rid of the other one. It's a much nicer looking bike.
Hi Mark love the channel need your help got peugeot jetforce 50cc all the oil pipe line all missing plus air pump pipes to not sure where thay go frist time fix a 2 stoke have manual but don't show pls
Hi Mark sorry yes it runs but all the coolant pipes and carburettor oil pipes where not on the bike when I got the bike got the coolant pipes put back on need to no where the air pump ones go and the oil one to frist time fix a 2 stroke 🤯🤯 thanks
URGENT HELP NEEDED. Hi Mark, So i have had this Peugot Speedfight 2 100cc for a while now, it was in poor condition and needed a new bendix, spark plug and the stator magnet was cleaned. After a few changes the bike started working and running well. However, the starting was inconsistent and the sound was very loud. After about 2 months of use, i was on a long drive on a hot day and the bike started having issues. I was doing 55-60 down on the motorway and when i got to a set of lights, the bike was struggling to get going again. It then cut out and wouldnt start, so i left it for 10 minutes and it started up again to get me home. From this day, i could definitely notice a lack of power when idling at any lights or just when stopped, i didnt take this as a big issue as i would just open up the throttle to maintain the revs. Anyway i go holiday for 16 days and when i come back there was an issue with the bike where it would start backfiring when i was driving and only seemed to get more frequent. The smell of fuel/oil was very strong while i was driving too. After about a week of this issue, the bike stopped working full stop and would start for a few seconds and cut out again. After examining the spark plug it was black and oily, as well as this there seems to be a lot of carbon all around the outside of the engine and where the exhaust meets the motor. I have done the following changes to try to improve the situation, - Replaced the piston + rings - Replaced the gaskets - Replaced automatic choke with a manual choke - Adjusted and cleaned the carb Here is another list of things i have changed since it was standing, - New Spark Plug (BR8ES) - New Bendix - New air filter (Parlini) - Cleaned the rust of stator magnet - Replaced all crank case housing bolts - Replaced Battery - New rollers - Replaced the wool in the exhaust The bike has been out of action for around a month and with the new gaskets the sound has gotten quiet but the bike cant go up the road without spluttering and popping until it stops, this issue is really getting me down. I am only 19 and would appreciate any help that i can get and can provide lots more details if needed. Thanks, Kian.
Wow ok Looks like you really have done a lot of work and we'll done , not just messaged after doing nothing and asking what is it !! When you had the head off did you check the crank ,as in small ends replaced with the piston kit but also big ends as in movement left to right ?? When changing the piston what was the head like ? Or did you replace the whole thing as in the kit Check oil pump working As in my videos Did you 2t the head and piston ? Extra 2t in the tank to help running in ? Did you run it in? Check and change reeds? Carb now You say cleaned ,like in my videos and air mix with the box filter Vacuum tested ? What's your spark like ? Blue and test as pull away as in my videos Or orange ? You have done well so far bud

Great video bud!
thanks bud and for watching , loads more on my channel
Nice! Like the air filter replacement. I just done air filter on my VFR1200, you need to literally strip all the plastics off, then lift the tank..!
Yea I've don't a service on a 800 and 1200 and yes its a bit of a job
@@marksavage yep of course, forgot the VFR1200 vids, exhaust etc. ZZR looks nice. I had an old ZZR1100 for a bit, dead comfy and fast when needed.

Spinns nice Mark!
Keeping both now and an exhaust video coming out next week
Yo mark what is the original peugeot speedfight clutch spring?mine is 35kg should i use a lighter one?
I never mess with them unless they fail like in my ride home speedfight video
I'm on my 3rd 1400 so massive Kawasaki bias, tip - use plenty of silicone grease on those fairing panels lugs and coil packs. 42/42psi is correct.
