Its funny how Disney makes episodes on their shows that deals with serious subject matters and learning to love yourself when they themselves don’t apply it to their stars
@Anime Fan 607 She was also being greedy and not grateful. $15000 an episode is a lot for a person who is new to acting and hasn't been in any film or series before
Josh G if you think you’re correct on that I need you to look up how much money each member made from stranger things. Young actors and actresses that have practically just started their careers, and half would get around that price🤷🏻♂️
pretty much her fame won't die to know why people keep talking about her even past away from old age (just sayin) she till be the girl of wrecking ball.
Zac Efron actually has said in interviews during the Ted Bundy press tour that he's grateful and he loves high school musical. There's a difference between wanting to break away from a character and hating what you were a part of
He grew up. People tend not to like it when child stars do that. Especially the girls they are expecting to have an innocent act even when they are adults.
Growing up is very hard especially when your under a child growing into a teen and adult under a Disney contract, Disney focused on making money instead of focusing on the actors mental health, I mean look at Demi Lovato, she had enough with Disney and had to left Sonny With A Chance in order to redeem herself in rehab
Actually he did say that but he’s gone back to show his love for the HSM franchise. Channels like this dwell so much on how he did say that he hated it and it gets on my freaking nerves.😞
It's the management from Disney that caused the actors shaded Disney. The actors are growing up and they weren't treated right by Disney. They were controlled hard by Disney because they wanna try something different outside of Disney, that's what growing Disney actors would do. Disney should have think about their humanity and mental from the actors itself more than making money. And I'm gonna say it again "ACTORS ARE NOT MONEY MAKING MACHINES" I feel bad for my childhood actors, I can imagine the pain they got.
I feel like it's because they are working from a young age thats why they are shading it. In the real world, it's a job and if they didn't want to be squeaky clean they should've left Disney themselves.
It's not management's fault. When you have a job you go do what you're told to do and dont complain. It doesnt matter if you're working at mcdonalds or as an entertainer.
I think during the Golden Age of Disney (That's so Raven, Wizards of Waverly place, Hannah Montana.) Everyone wanted to be a Disney star but now Disney has lost it's Glamour so I can't imagine why anyone would actively seek that kind of fame.
The 2000s were definitely their golden age and I'm sad to say they will never be as successful as they were during that time. But hey, we still have those animated shows and Sydney To The Max is pretty good so far. Better than every other Disney sitcom right now.
@@AJ-xc4qe Well they could have got a chance to get more successful in the future but now people just pay attention to streaming services and yes some new shows are good .
I'd rather Disney go back to the animated shows and just ditch the preteen live action shows. Yes, it did wonders for catapulting its stars into fame or at least getting loyal fanbases that stick with them after, but it's too much of a toll and the shows aren't as good as those done by adult professionals
I wouldn't say Cole shaded disney in any way, he fully understands the nature of child acting and knew what he needed to do, in fact him and dylan are just two out of a small few that are genuinely so grateful for the opportunities disney gave them.
yeah. if he were to be put on the list, it should have been an honorable mention because it really a shade. A shade is like what demi said about the network
@@Missmagazinebura that wasnt really disney's fault. Dylan and Cole wanted the crew to continue to work so they pitched multiple ideas which ultimitaley didnt fit disneys narrative because both dylan and cole wanted to seek higher education, therefore they would not have been in it. Disney didnt shade them and in fact they had a lot respect for both of them as they would always come up with scripting and plot points for the suite life on deck.
Also, Cole wasn't speaking out against Disney. He was literally just talking about being a child actor. Hell, even Dylan spoke out over what Joe Jonas said. Never has a Sprouse shaded Disney. They've just been more straightforward. Cole and Dylan were lucky enough to have each other the whole time they worked for Disney. And their 6 seasons of two shows is actually one of the longest for any of the actors/actresses from Disney. And one more thing, it must not have been too horrible for Raven. She went back to them.
Misty Benjamin go for Raven she is the owner of that show she had to make some criteria for her to come back to Disney which I can understand I mean who would want to be their former selves when they knew their former cells were detrimental to them and their health
@@elyannakwok13 Yeah that's the part I was really looking forward to but they stopped doing that apparently idk know cause I don't watch Disney anymore
I agree with the statement, about child stars taking a break when they get a bit older. Take time to reflect and reevaluate yourself. It must be hard to be in the spotlight and dealing with being a preteen and in your early teens. That is a weird awkward time in life. And then you are in front of a camera. Your body is changing, hormones are raging and you are gaining weight gearing up for a growth spirt, you are having skin issues like oily skin and pimples. I would hate to live that life. Teens are hard enough to navigate without pictures being snapped anytime you leave home or your job. And you are in front of a fancy movie camera. And it is picking up every pound, every pimple, if you are having a bad hair day. No thank you!!!!
Of course Miley Cyrus would be number 1 but I love her. I love following Cole's and Dylan's journeys after they left Disney. They're so intelligent to listen to and so level headed. So inspiring.
It's interesting to me, that people like Zendaya who began with Disney as kids, leave and then came back to work with Disney owned companies such as Marvel Studios are better treated. I think in the Disney Channel's Executives Minds: "We can treat these kids any way, we want, they are disposable, we can create them, and we can uncreate them."
Just seeing those people on Disney, I can actually feel their pain. Sure, it may launch their careers, but they cannot deal or handle the things they have to do.
Notice that many of these stars were on Disney Channel during the late 2000’s and early 2010’s (with the exception of Raven Symone). which was when DC had a big focus on strong ratings. It is very clear that the DC executives let the money and ratings get to their heads, and now look where they are.
@@lalaland2107 Sort of. DC’s ratings seemed to really boost in 2005 thanks to shows like That’s So Raven and Kim Possible, along with movies like Twitches, but HSM was definitely a factor in their success and decline.

In all honesty we can all agree Zac might be the one of only main Disney stars from the 2000s that actually turned out fine and not coked up, methed up, arrested or in drama

Part of me wanted to call them ungrateful? But Exhaustion, rules, judgement and many thin gas more have been circulated over there So maybe I’ll rather say A double break, for a moment and for the psyche (Still VA exist though)
It’s so sad that all these people who were so fundamental to my childhood and who I grew up to be hated their lives while on these shows and all regret doing them. These shows were so important to me and it’s really terrible to know that the people making them were in so much pain.
Most of these aren’t even about Disney doing bad things it’s just them complaining that they where viewed as kid show actors, like no shit you’re on a kid show
i will never get over how disney overworked demi to the point that her own mental health and wellbeing was jeopardised. its like these are the stars that help built disney but then this is how they treat them behind closed doors? its pretty messed up if you ask me.
I never really thought about it, but now that I have... I can't blame Zac Efron. If I was in highschool musical, I would be pretty embarrassed and ashamed too!
But Zac Efron didn't branch out immediately. He made 2 movies outside of Disney that weren't part of Disney: Hairspray & 17 Again. Both resemble High School Musical immensely, so he had to search for other roles subsequently when he was being cast for bombastic showman energetic roles like these. Until he landed the role in The Lucky One and then destroyed his nice boy image with Neighbors. Hell, he even starred with Hugh Jackman and old Disney star (but now major star) Zendaya in The Greatest Showman. I guess what goes around comes around after all.
Yeah my feeling on that is that if u have only done MOVIES for Disney Channel, then it shouldn't have been AS hard to break away from that image, because it's not like being on a show for a number of years
It hurts my heart that Raven had to suppress her sexuality while on Disney. No one should have to hide who they are. I am a huge fan of Raven and I’m just mad that she had to do that out of fear for loosing her career. We love you as you are Raven your fans have your back! ❤️
If Walt Disney was here today and hears all these painful experiences, he’d be very ashamed of all the employees who have caused them. 😰 He would feel bad for all of the stars here, especially Miley. 😭
I don’t get how Raven and Selena are so high up, when Raven went back to them and Selena would come back if they made a Wizard of Wavelyplace spin off??
@Arturo Blanco he said it in an interview I just recently watched. He says he's greatful for what started his career. Just because you THINK different doesn't mean im wrong. Watch the videos your self bud
Im glad that I left my Disney star ideas to a fantasy and I haven't thought about for the last few years after realizing it's controlling behind the scenes and there's less freedom and I dislike how the cast members are treated as a result at least I still embrace Disney and want to know more about
As much as I don´t really like the "Wrecking Ball" video (the song is actually fine), I actually like post!Disney Miley much more, as she can express her true self.
9:55 i speak english as a second language.. but: Miley was the least paid member of the cast? Did I understand it right? Has someone any source where she said it?
A real question: How is being forced to maintain an image by a corporation different than being in a clique in high school? Also: How is it different in terms of the "freedom" of personal growth (as one star said)?
at least cole sprouse came out positive. the top ten cole sprouse moments proves that he find a positive way 2 get through this without loosing himself.
Despite all the horrible things these actors/actresses went though, look at where they are today? They are some of the biggest names in the film and music industry! Yes, what they went through was stressful and mentally exhausting, but how would things be different if they didn't go through that?

wow including about the cyrus fam i grew up watching all of these guys didn't realize they were hurting underneath that had to take courage perserverance determination guts
i find it a bit odd that raven talked so bad about disney but then goes back to the network to star in a show again. yes she is adult now and probably has more say in things, , but if it was so bad to you as a child, and wouldn't you care about how it treats it's current kids stars now, because i have feeling disney hasn't stopped it's questionable practices just because the former stars have spoken up
Child stars have to grow up fast but kids want to be kids so it’s difficult. It’s a job which carries responsibility but kids don’t have a lot of responsibility when they are the ages they start on these shows. That being said, I don’t think the Disney Channel handled it very well, the stories of being overworked and exhausted mean Disney didn’t view them as kids when they should have. They should have recognised that they won’t work the same as adults and that it will take a toll on their mental health
I know that you can completely hate the company you work for and that it's ok to speak the truth about that company. I have also learned that if that company made you famous, or gave you a leg up to help you become more famous, then you should also mention how grateful you are for the chance you were given.
No one should be denied the right to free expression, and I am glad that these former child actors have found their voices as adults. However, seeing as none of them would likely be famous now without first appearing on the Disney channel, I find it slightly ironic that none of them acknowledged that it was the House of Mouse that gave them their big break. Disney isn’t perfect, and denying that fact only sets one up for disappointment. But like any other company, Disney has a right to do what they feel is necessary to preserve and promote the image of their brand, and that often times necessitates having those representing the brand be contractually obligated to live by certain standards. If these actors couldn’t do that, then it’s better that they moved on to work with other companies that allowed them to be true to themselves. But they should at least give credit were credit is due, and that requires them to show some gratitude toward Disney for affording them a platform that gave them the exposer they needed to become established in the entertainment industry.
Selena dated Justin Bieber for years, Miley had an famous father and Cole was in Friends.. pretty sure they would’ve gotten another acting job still 🤷♀️🤷♀️

Well it will help their careers
I would say do we go to Nickelodeon the creepy as well and they overwork as well
I'm curious how can you shade someone and still work for them? 🤔🤔🤔 because some of these people still do thing for Disney
Part of me wanted to call them ungrateful?
But
Exhaustion, rules, judgement and many thin gas more have been circulated over there
So maybe I’ll rather say
A double break, for a moment and for the psyche
(Still VA exist though)
Oh my God! When Miley Cyrus said Hannah was murdered that hit me hard!!😥
very very crazy great list I like it a lot great job mis mojo one of my very favorite list ever I like everyone on this great list but number one
"would you still want to be on disney?"
Me: *huh? I love Disney but i never once thought of being on it lmao*
It’s so sad that all these people who were so fundamental to my childhood and who I grew up to be hated their lives while on these shows and all regret doing them. These shows were so important to me and it’s really terrible to know that the people making them were in so much pain.
I'm happy to see a lot of these former Disney Channel & Disney XD Stars leave their Young Lion Status & rise to their ACE Status!
Disney Channel owes a lot of people a lot of apologies!
A lot of ex disney actor has said this over the years, it sad that they do this to the kids
Become a disney star is one of my biggest dream
being an extra on a Netflix show is my dream
Top 10 Nickelodeon Stars Who Shaded Nickelodeon next, please?!
Most of these aren’t even about Disney doing bad things it’s just them complaining that they where viewed as kid show actors, like no shit you’re on a kid show
I didn't know this other side of Disney. I guess it wasn't only just magical but something else.
i will never get over how disney overworked demi to the point that her own mental health and wellbeing was jeopardised. its like these are the stars that help built disney but then this is how they treat them behind closed doors? its pretty messed up if you ask me.
Yeah my feeling on that is that if u have only done MOVIES for Disney Channel, then it shouldn't have been AS hard to break away from that image, because it's not like being on a show for a number of years
I don't know what to say so...pineapple
Banana
Did you get that from Kevin Hart?😂
It hurts my heart that Raven had to suppress her sexuality while on Disney. No one should have to hide who they are. I am a huge fan of Raven and I’m just mad that she had to do that out of fear for loosing her career. We love you as you are Raven your fans have your back! ❤️
Okay if Raven dislikes Disney why did she do Ravens Home??
She is in charge of her show
@@Missmagazinebura Like Zendaya for KC Undercover
Disney channel : Enter... if you dare.
If Walt Disney was here today and hears all these painful experiences, he’d be very ashamed of all the employees who have caused them. 😰
He would feel bad for all of the stars here, especially Miley. 😭
The 15 dislikes are from Disney itself 💀
15 fake acounts
It doesn’t really surprise me that Selena Gomez threw shade at Disney Channel.
I don’t get how Raven and Selena are so high up, when Raven went back to them and Selena would come back if they made a Wizard of Wavelyplace spin off??
Zak efron does like HSM. He said so in videos recently. He said he loves remembering where he came from
@Arturo Blanco he said it in an interview I just recently watched. He says he's greatful for what started his career. Just because you THINK different doesn't mean im wrong. Watch the videos your self bud
ASHLEY GREENE IS UNIQUE😍BEAUTIFUL😍TALENTED😍SHE'S THE TRULY PICK ME GIRL/BOY IN EVERY ASPECTS
Im glad that I left my Disney star ideas to a fantasy and I haven't thought about for the last few years after realizing it's controlling behind the scenes and there's less freedom and I dislike how the cast members are treated as a result at least I still embrace Disney and want to know more about
So I take this is the reason why the new shows have younger casts
Yeah that's why it's all to not repeat history again
I honestly thought Bella Thorne would be #1, she didn't even want to be a disney star.
its crazy bc i used to wanna be the jonas bros in 2nd grade, everything looked good on camera but in reality they wasn't comfortable or free at all
Raven can't have that much of an issue with disney she's gone back to make a new show
As much as I don´t really like the "Wrecking Ball" video (the song is actually fine), I actually like post!Disney Miley much more, as she can express her true self.
Demetria is a god.
Please do Top 10 Demi Lovato Moments!
ABSOLUTELY! I LOVE Demi Lovato! She isn’t a god but she is a goddess!😍
@@andreasmeelie1889 Haha same!
There's gonna be a list where Sonny Munroe asked Chad Dylan Cooper on a date 😂
@@Erasureeraser Or the time she showed her obvious crush on Rihanna!
She’s also super talented
I completely forgot that Demi had a gap in her early years until the video mentioned it. Its a shame this company puts these kids through such hell

i speak english as a second language.. but: Miley was the least paid member of the cast?
This is so true
Stefanie Scott surprised me

Stefanie Scott later went on to star in Jem And The Holograms so best not to listen to anything she has to say. “Roles with emotional depth” lol
7:08 It’s not good that Demi Lovato was being overworked. That’s why in junior high and high school I hated being in chorus because I felt like I was being overworked.
i actually thought that raven symone wasnt goin to be in this list, because she is currently filming ravens home...
i stand corrected
wow including about the cyrus fam i grew up watching all of these guys didn't realize they were hurting underneath that had to take courage perserverance determination guts
Well better get to it
You forgot Zendaya, she has shaded Disney a million times
When?
I still want to be a Disney child star and I'm almost 25 lol
The editing in this video is *insane* lol
I am so hurt that Nick Jonas and his brothers regretted that show because I loved Jonas the tv show so much 😭😭
Crazy but understandable.
i find it a bit odd that raven talked so bad about disney but then goes back to the network to star in a show again. yes she is adult now and probably has more say in things, , but if it was so bad to you as a child, and wouldn't you care about how it treats it's current kids stars now, because i have feeling disney hasn't stopped it's questionable practices just because the former stars have spoken up
Child stars have to grow up fast but kids want to be kids so it’s difficult.
6:43 You could say that Disney is hypocritical but you can also say the writers made that we just pump it out.
I know that you can completely hate the company you work for and that it's ok to speak the truth about that company. I have also learned that if that company made you famous, or gave you a leg up to help you become more famous, then you should also mention how grateful you are for the chance you were given.
They forget no one would know who they are without Disney.
honorable mention: disney also tried to whitewash lalaine (miranda from lizzie mcguire)
They have shown gratitude yet they are also honest about it.
Selena dated Justin Bieber for years, Miley had an famous father and Cole was in Friends.. pretty sure they would’ve gotten another acting job still 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Dylan stepped back too... I mean he still isn't really back in the spotlight whereas his brother stars in Riverdale
Nope I don't want to change against my will!😡💔
