Master Sol actor is the main actor in Squid Game and doesn't speak any English. He trained the language expressions for 4 months and speaks with two dialogue tutors in the serie.

I enjoyed it, pretty solid introduction to the show. More or less the same reaction I had when the first episodes of Andor came out and now it's my favourite Star Wars
I think they gave us answers because I think the plot is bigger than the twins storyline
After they mentioned she had a sister that died, it was kinda obvious it was her so I'm glad they didn't drag that out
Your reservations prior to viewing the show is on par with any other Star Wars fan. It's absolutely legit. I am just excited for this, because it's an era never explored, new characters, and the only connections we will have are the alien races...that's it. Soooo exciting!
I think there’s an episodic mystery that gets solved by the end of each episode while there’s a longer overarching season mystery. So them getting the twin sister reveal out of the way makes sense.
I’m pretty sure the mystery is who trained Mae?
Yay, so great to be back with you guys for some new Star Wars tales! Couldn't wait to see you guys experience this one; it's definitely an unusual feeling, isn't it? It's familiar, but in a way that's completely new. Not having that connection and preconceptions about the characters is almost unnerving, but it's exciting to have a story we don't really know that we get to unravel. After the first two episodes, it wasn't an instant "wow" like I first had with Andor or Ahsoka, but it's still really got me excited for the ride ahead. Look forward to sharing the journey with you guys!
I don't mind people disliking things that I like, but compared to Ahsoka, Kenobi and Book of Boba Fett this show actually feels like it was written by professionals and not someone smashing their favourite Star Wars toys together but with a budget, so I think the hate this show is apparently getting is unfair. Even The Mandalorian, which I generally like, has some really stupid writing. I don't know what criticism you can make of The Acolyte that doesn't go at least double for those other shows.
What I mind is the hatetuber grift and culture warriors that hate it only for that, and can't see past that hate to see this show is giving Star Wars fans what they've asked for.
You are free to like bad shows all you want it is a free country but this show is objectively bad on all levels and there is nothing redeeming about it.

@@cliveklg7739 There is no need to point out the glaring flaws but since you insist: 1.The characters are flat, one dimensional, mentally challenged and their actions make no sense.
2. The events go from one random plot point to another with no logical consistency in between.
3. The only decent acting is done by Lee Jung-jae, the rest are simply horrible.
4. The plot armor and contrived events are ridiculous.

I was a little jaded by the stuff people were saying about the director, but I’m excited to go through this part of history in this universe! This story could go anywhere!
They're doing the twin thing again, sorry, twins... Let's see where this familiar path will take us.
If they also introduce a younger Master Yoda, I'm buying it!
It's pretty good to finally see Jedi defending themselves with something other than their lightsabers.
We've already seen a Padawan Wookie in "The Clone Wars," but it's even more interesting to see one in live action.
Isn't Shogun, X Men 97 or Fallout level but it ain't at all bad neither. Not everything can be a banger straight out of the gate.
Kung Fu Columbo Star Wars is interesting enough to keep me watching.

@nerdymarriedcouple X-Men97 definitely. With regards to Shogun and Fallout, how’s your violence/gore tolerance? Fallout can definitely be over the top and is a hard R. Haven’t seen Shogun yet but heard that it was rough.
@@nerdymarriedcouple Shogun is a masterpiece. Absolutely you should watch it. I am sure one of the leads, Anna Sakai will be nominated and possibly win an Emmy for her performance. 'Shogun' And "The Bear' are too of the best acted shows I've seen in decades. That said, you should watch the 'The Bear' too. Be prepared for amazing acting and stress if you do.
Fallout is really good too, definitely more humor in it.
X-Men 97... did you watch the previous X-Men animated series and enjoy it? Then yeah. If you didn't watch it, not sure it would be worth it to you as you'd be missing out on a lot of call back material.
It's interesting how IMDB is not showing this show's rating almost 24hrs after the first 2 episodes dropped. However, the reviews are very divided.
Not sure what the controversy is around the showrunner. I feel like some bad faith people are stirring things up again or getting her confused with someone else. Anyways, really like the first two episodes. Only nitpick is some weird editing choices for some transition scenes especially on Carlax.
She’s just a former personal assistant of mr Harvey Weinstein who hadn’t seen anything wrong with her master’s behaviour for four years, not a big deal
And also she’s a super talented writer-director who just had last-nailed the coffin of Star Wars

@@jacobtomasi1542I haven’t watched this but I have no desire either. I really only like the first 2 STAR WARS movies but even EMPIRE isn’t my favorite because I had to wait a 3 year eternity as a kid to be disappointed in JEDI
@jacobtomasi1542 sure she last nailed the coffin for SW. I’ve been hearing that for years since the Prequel trilogy with people going crazy about George Lucas’s take.
And working for Harvey Weinstein as an assistant doesn’t automatically mean she knew what he was doing behind the scenes. Otherwise she would have been in court with him.

People just 'want' her to be guilty - that's it. There is no evidence or she would've been on the chopping block, and rightly so.

Looks like they don’t bother animating the lightsabers anymore but use onset toys
right - i think they use practically lit sabers now
They add the VFX afterwards. It’s probably better for the actors to have more tangible swords to hold.

I found these episodes to be pedestrian and a stitching together of functional plot scenes with little reason to be intrigued with the characters or the story. That's my take. Your mileage may vary.
I agree 100%, finally someone else who isn't trying to defend this poor excuse for Star Wars.
in our opinion there are some seeds being planted for an interesting story! it's not super gripping, but we'll give it a chance

I've seen the second episode and my impression wasn't improved, but I'll continue with the third which is rumored to be cringe, but I'll see for myself.
