Great video! Can’t agree more about Cafe Ole. That is my favorite. Woodinville and Peerless picks are also on my rotation, wish I could find another bottle of the Peerless though! Thanks for another fun video!
Great list with a couple of surprises. My most interesting bottle is from an Ohio distillery High Banks called Whiskey Wars double double CS. I get a mango note that I have never gotten on another whiskey. Appreciate the list
Kurt and Trenton are awesome. I have not met them in person, but they take time to respond and are nice and down to earth. They are why i subscribed here as well as thebourbonpour. I am so far a fan of this and thebourbonpour. Thanks
My most interesting whiskey is Journeyman Corsets Whips and Whiskey Cask Strength. I'm gonna have to buy a back up bottle. 100% wheat whiskey is fantastic. The ASW Georgia Heartwood is my most purchased whiskey. Three bottles plus your barrel pick within the past 12 months.🥃
Totally agree on Peerless Double Oak Rye. I just ordered a bottle of the MiddleWest Ported Pumpernickel CS and am super excited to try it as soon as it arrives.
Totally agree with Fiddler and Peerless DO. I got both as SLB picks! However, my top favorite/most interesting right now - Balcones Cataleja XV Anniversary. Absolutely AMAZING! Wish I could have afforded a case. Balcones does some all-around amazing things down there!
A very nice list Judge. I am surprised that only one whiskey outside of the US is on your list. While I agree with the Red Breast pick, there are others to consider. I would pick Nikka Coffey Single Malt from Japan. It may not be in your face with proof or spice, but it has such a delicate nose and palette that makes it so interesting. Oh, I also think that the Balcones Cataleja Single Malt is the most unique pour I have ever had, bar none.
I'm curious about that Glenn's Creek Cafe Ole. I have a bottle of the OCD #5. It's good but doesn't wow me. As far as my most interesting bottle I have to say it's the Pursuit United Double Oak. It's pure Butterscotch Snickers and Whoppers in a glass.
A couple of interesting/unique whiskeys I have included Old Forester King Ranch, Starward Corio Cask finish, and Glen Breton 10 year old ice wine cask finish. Fun video. Thanks, Judge!
Judge, as far as Irish whiskeys go I recently got a bottle of Two Stacks cask strength apricot brandy finished and it was flat out amazing as you would say. Highly recommend it for you to try if you ever come across it.
I have a bottle of Woodinville that made my bottles I regret bottle video/giveaway. Love found North but missed the Peregrin. I have batch 005 and Hell Diver. I need to try the DO Peerless rye. I have a couple bottles of the DO bourbon. I really enjoy the Two Souls rebarreled pumpernickel rye and I have the regular MWS ported pumpernickel rye. How much did the cask strength cost? I just saw it on Seelbach's?
Judge I just tried the Seelbach 10 year cask strength Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. O my god is it good, the orange and coffee notes. Please do yourself a favor and try a bottle. As always love the show
A few interesting whiskeys I have that I love are Don Michael’s Black Whiskey (Distilled in Peru), High N’ Wicked 15 Year The Jury and Glenns Creek SWHEAT. 🥃
My most interesting bottle is not even a whiskey but finished in whiskey barrels. John Emerald Barrel Rested Gin. The Gin is finished in their single malt whiskey barrels. It tastes like NOTHING else. Not gin, not whiskey just unique. John Emerald is a craft distiller here in Alabama. The single malt is fantastic too. Peach smoked malt is part of it.
If you love Redbreast Cask Strength (and I do, too), you have GOT to try Blue Spot, their cask strength entry (if you can find it). It has the honey butter Parker House roll sweetness of Redbreast, but with a bit more bourbonesque depth to it. I ran into FOUR BOTTLES in a little out-of-the-way store in Nicholasville, KY...have never seen it anywhere else...and I grabbed 'em all.
That's a very tasty list! My most interesting whiskies are Samuel Maverick 100% Triticale Whiskey B.I.B., Broken Barrel Honey Smoke (American whiskey finished in honey and sotol barrels), Liberty Pole Spirits Peated Rye Whiskey finished in an Oloroso sherry cask, Spirits of French Lick Lost River (7 grain Bourbon aged for 6.5 years) and Perry's Secret Stock Quinoa Bourbon. There is such a crazy amount of diversity out there.
Have enjoyed this challenge going around. Totally agree on the Peerless Double Oak Rye being the best on the market.
It really is!
Great video! Can’t agree more about Cafe Ole. That is my favorite. Woodinville and Peerless picks are also on my rotation, wish I could find another bottle of the Peerless though! Thanks for another fun video!

Excellent list. Georgia Heartwood and Redbreast CS are special. I can't wait to get into the sample of your Woodinville Pick later on tonight. 🥃
Thnx Myron.. cheers bruh
Love to see you and my SLB guys collaborating!! Awesome Judge!
Thnx Mike

I’ve meet Kurt a couple times. He and his family are GREAT Humans.

Thnx Jake. Cheers🥃
Wow, lovely list, I have/had everything except that cafe ole. And, …….i agree, lol. Cheers Judge
Solid picks Judge. It is time for me to get a bottle of the Redbreast 12yr CS that is for sure.
Irish - Teeling Single Grain or Black Pitts. American - Westward Pinot Cask

Gotta learn more about that one. Ty
I really enjoy the Dark Pumpernickel Rye, Shortbarrel Cigar Batch and an 11.5yr MGP rye they put out, Penelope Rio and an Irish Bushmills 21yr
Excellent list

Fair those others just aren’t my jam
Showing Columbus, OH some love! Middlewest Spirits is putting out some great stuff. That ported pumpernickel rye is flat out AMAZING!
Yes sir!!!! Good people in Columbus- especially the Troy C la familia…

Great picks and something to hunt for.
ASW Fiddler Georgia Heartwood is definitely in my top list.
A couple of interesting/unique whiskeys I have included Old Forester King Ranch, Starward Corio Cask finish, and Glen Breton 10 year old ice wine cask finish. Fun video. Thanks, Judge!
One of my most unique whiskey I will say is silver cross from Journeyman’s distillery. I will except the challenge myself as well. Great show!
Cool nice choice
Judge, as far as Irish whiskeys go I recently got a bottle of Two Stacks cask strength apricot brandy finished and it was flat out amazing as you would say. Highly recommend it for you to try if you ever come across it.
Ty Jimmy for the insight
Frey Ranch 4-grain and Castle & Key Restoration Rye
Any Found North is worth the hunt! I had to get additional bottles of #4, haven’t been lucky with Helldiver or Peregrine yet but still looking
Absolutely.. love me some four gate
Love that ported pumpernickel rye! The first rye I truly loved
It's so good!

Good to know ty
thanks for representing the Ohio distillers! You should definitely try Highbank and Watershed on your next trip.
Absolutely
A few interesting whiskeys I have that I love are Don Michael’s Black Whiskey (Distilled in Peru), High N’ Wicked 15 Year The Jury and Glenns Creek SWHEAT. 🥃
High n Wicked is amazing
Scotch? Try Aberlour Abundah or Alba
Next time! Still developing my non bourbon palate
