My god this is the first time I've listened to this podcast In quite awhile & hearing one guy saying "he's not convinced" that tomlin needs to go is mind boggling tbh. These guys are the definition of settling for shit on a plate if it was prepared for by Mike T
I said before the game that if we wanted to win we had to play aggressive, almost like we had nothing to lose. As soon as we punted on 4th and inches I knew we were accepting the loss. Came out flat and got bullied at the LOS. Started slow again which has plagued us all year. Saw some glimpses in the 2nd half when we opened up the offense but too little too late. It felt like we never had a chance. Like you guys said, it starts with O-line and D-line. They have to find ways to move Watt around so he's not a decoy. Lamar was not bottled up like he was when we beat them in the regular season. Dude had all day to throw and was running free.
It's a flawed roster and just not good enough to beat elite teams. It doesnt matter who the coach is. When you see some of the film breakdowns dudes are messin up all over the place. There is clearly ENOUGH blame to go around.
These two guys are completely clueless and don't get it. You honestly think Cheerleader Tomlin would know how to coach up a franchise QB. Give me a break. Expect more of the same next season. Nothing will change until Tomlin is gone. Period.
The team really should've bottomed out when Ben got hurt in week 2 with his elbow injury in 2019. We probably could have been in position to draft Justin Herbert and have our next franchise QB in the building.
I get why staying with MT since they’ve already extended his contract, but they got to get rid some of those position coaches and DC, don’t allow MT in the process of hiring staff, and MODERNIZE their philosophy. MT has too much power and his choices of staff (and certain players) has wasted years and potential. The talent is there, just not the coaching, scheming, and development.
the problem is we are not just a qb away. this defense with supposed great players is the highest paid defense in nfl history. the got ran through all season the only thing they do well is turnover but you cannot base your entire defense on that let alone pay people for it. they consitantly give up major passing and rushing yards. this team needs so much more than just a qb. i remember when ben threw 6 tds in te playoffs and lost to the jaguars and blake bortles tomlin should have been fired after that. they have bad schemes bad strats bad coaching bad players. bad everything. the entire franchise is broken
I feel like a DC away from the defense being elite. Queen and Elliott were major additions. Everyone except for Jackson and Roberts are scheduled to return (either of those two could be back, but I'm not sweating it). They'll have to find a DC from a failed coaching tenure somewhere else, but that has worked wonders for some guys including Brian Flores (Vikings), Vance Joseph (Broncos), and Vic Fangio (Eagles) this season. Some names floating around already are Lou Anarumo (Bengals) Gus Bradley (Colts) and possibly Mike Zimmer (Cowboys). I feel as if all three of those guys failed due to injuries and a lack of personnel. Anarumo intrigues me as an in-division hire. Jeff Ulbrich (Jets) is someone I might put on speed dial if he isn't retained with their new regime. I'm less enthused about the experience of Antonio Pierce or Jerod Mayo who were let go as head coaches. Patrick Graham was a potential hire a few seasons ago before he went to the Raiders. - Joe
Player/coach in hockey? Yes, let's have that player/coach calling out line changes from the o-zone corner or on the fly on the penalty kill... C'mon man, don't insult the sport...
You clearly don't remember the war and peace messages we both sent each other when I told you that you might be big, but you are immature. Don't bother answering with a denial. I have integrity, and know what I write here is true.
Hi,, I must disagree with the comparing Cowher to Tomlin, in my words I believe Cowher is 10 times the coach as Tomlin. One fact when Tomlin won the super bowl 18 or the 22 were from Cowhers team. My last word would be I enjoyed the Cowher years way more then now we are stuck in the mud. Thanks Guys
Sorry, but Cowher has a losing playoff record without the SBXL run. He had just as many downfalls with "talented" teams and HOF/franchise great caliber players that carried over from Noll too. Losing four AFC title games he was branded the same and probably creates the same fervor if social media existed in the 90s and early 2000s. As for Tomlin, the Cowher's players conjecture is one I've covered many times over. There's a constant of about 8 players, off the top of my head: Ben, Ward, Heath, Hampton, Farrior, Troy, Ike, and Greg Warren. Aaron Smith, Willie Parker, Larry Foote and Jeff Reed did not carryover from SB 40 to 43. Mewelde Moore, Holmes, Nate Washington, Matt Spaeth, the entire OL, Clark, Woodley, Timmons weren't part of the SB 40 team. Harrison and Keisel weren't starters for Cowher. Some were on the defending champion team that missed the playoffs in Cowher's final year, but not part of the SB winners. The losing 2010 SB team had even more turnover from the 2005 team and was barely recognizable from Cowher's "players" aside from the handful first mentioned. - Joe
We need an "airing of grievances" show.
Get rid of all the pent-up rage , then move on.
Aaaaannndddd Go Steelers 👍
Appreciate Yinz!
That was definitely one of the fugliest ends of the season.
Safe travels n'at!

You Tomlin ball washers are absolutely hilarious.
Watch, or Joe will call you a racist.
You have two or three more years but you can hit the door if you want

Boycott the Steelers owners! Don't buy Tix, jerseys, etc. Rooney is basically telling fans to get screwed, they don't matter. Boycott!
