We went to Puerto De La Cruz end of May for ten days. For the reasons you mention it's typically Spanish so chilled and relaxing. We are both in our seventies now done the wild stuff back in the day.Benidorm In October staying at the flash hotel again for ten days. Most of our time will be in the old town.Then back to puato dela Cruz next May for ten days God willing

4 direct buses a day has limited the travel access to puerto .... which was running at about 12 a day pre covid days.... For some reason they havent restored the full service either way. Which would increase the tourism rate both in the northern area plus people travelling towards the south airport & to Los Cristianos
Well surprise surprise I’ve finally seen somewhere on Tenerife that looks nice. Looks to me that it’s better in the north than the south, everyone is different. As for the wee for goodness sake you’re Scottish, I find it quite endearing and not in a patronising way, just ignore the comment. Thanks Kevin.
When i was in puerto went into molly malones in the harbour was a man and his wife mans name was des would be interesing to know if des still plays in there im talking years ago
It is very sad to see how the north has not been restored post 'massive economic restructuring with cough' so many businesses suffering. Cheap hotel rooms show it off well in that regard. Most of the original settlement dates to about the time of the Napoleonic Wars and aside from Admiral Nelson's one failed operation the Canaries would have belonged to Britain. As to the 'wee' many people assume a BBC home counties accent and nothing else.

I like that shopping centre for a coffee shops are mega expensive you need a bank loan to walk round that place.

Looks much more authentic and Spanish.Quite a contrast from the over commercialised south.
Can you do activities in the North like Quad Biking, Parasailing, horse riding etc
Best check with tenerife first excursions
Whereabouts in Las Americas do you get the bus from Kevin . I want to come to PDC if I can find the right bus ?
Not 100% sure but I think u need to go to apolo centre los cristianos for that bus I don't remember it stopping in Las Americas.

thats the owner i think its his son who plays the music now but he sometimes joins in.
