The green sign HC 370. Halls Creek . I lived there for 10 years. I bet that ford Fairlane was stuffed when they got there that road is very corrugated.
Love Halls Creek...especially the Rodeo. Yes....The ford was absolutley cactus. The gearbox had gone as well. Had to fly one in on a Cessna from Yuendumu. Took all night to get it in. But we got her back on the road
they got to an intersection went right to Halls creek, and left would have been Fitzroy, so how did they end up driving thru Fitzroy. After the Broome beach bit, they headed off home without the new hats and boots, blew another grand. But the best bit is: where the bloody hell are they getting all these old cars from, they're worth a small fortune these days, they should advertise them on Gumtree for some good bucks
Great show! I helped get a friend's 1979 Mazda 121 running again one day after breaking down, and I always thought I saw how to do it from watching this. Now, years later, I have just watched everything again (thanks for uploading) and actually the method we used does not seem to be shown at all. The car in question had a poorly fitted electronic fuel pump which failed, and rather than mess around with the pump wiring and what not, we filled the windscreen washer bottle with fuel and ran the line to the carby. To drive, my mate would hold his foot down for air and squirt the washer button for fuel, which would make a beep when pressed. I found it really amusing because when he was cruising along, it would be like beep.................beep...................beep.......... and then he would go to overtake and it would be like beep..beep...beep..beep.beep.beep.beep. He kept driving it like that for weeks and replacing the washer bottles when they dissolved. (Go Wayne!) So anyway, re-watching Bush Mechanics I have seen blowing air into a washer bottle to refill a radiator, or at least, top it up a bit. I have also seen removing a mechanical fuel pump and having a passenger running it manually inside the car with a spanner. But no windscreen washer system become fuel supply system. Hmmm. Oh well, I guess I was a mechanic at the time. Thanks for idea, where ever it came from. It actually worked very well, albeit temporarily. Hope the funds for Black AS series 3 find a way to come through. Great work in any case, thank you. Love these shows.

We currently have series two of Black As on our National Broadcasters On line channel Iview but it is restricted to OZ right now sorry. But glad your a fan. Cheers Bruz
