Sorry it’s been a while! Love y’all so much.
See you on the road: www.marcrebillet.com/tour
We love you, Loop Daddy!
You, Sir, are an American treasure.
I missed your Sunday sessions. It was like church to me.
We love ya Marc!
Man... waited too long my friend...
It’s so surreal to see him go from being a weird guy screaming at people in a restaurant to being a weird guy screaming at people at a festival.
you forgot "screaming in time to that FUNKY beat" part lol
the bigger the stage the more freedom your stage persona gets.
@@rileyxxxxno doubt, before he had to play at the limits of the establishment. Now he headlines his own shows and makes his own rules and it is awesome to see
If you're depressed it's such a good way to havin' a good time 🔥🎶
And think that finnaly earth is not so bad.
The Music. The crowd. Marc Rebillet.
True and all actuality he really is not weird ✊🏾🤎🤎🤎🤎
The promoter: "Okay Marc, we're gonna need your setlist"
Marc: "¯\_(ツ)_/¯"
Haha the best
I think that Marc is one item on the setlist though
😁🌻✌🏾 This is lit, loop daddy
lmao
he IS the setlist
Just imagine the confidence you need to be in front of so much people, and this guy is there with no pants on complete improv like if it was nothing
To an artist, I guarantee improving live is more fear inducing than being without clothes
And he can completely be himself
Hes healthyyyy😊
It's not a good thing.
Coke?
I love how he’s made a career on just basically playing improv. Super impressive
"basically" doing a lot of heavy lifting here
Super impressive!!!!!
I mean that's essentially what all Jazz musicians do. That's why people enjoy hanging at Jazz lounges with live music. It's definitely very impressive
Robert downy Jr, Samuel L. Jackson and George Clooney all basically made a career out of improv too
@@ANONM60D I mean specifically with music, but yes.
Jesus man, I remember when you had 5000 subs and playing in a local brewery. Im so happy for your success, the world is yours Marc!
*ua-cam.com/video/mCfYi7634rU/v-deo.html*
Finally its for you
A real organic superstar! 😉🙌🏼
What a cool transition right!!! And who more deserving
@Don't Read My Profile Photo ok
I just said this!!! So happy for his success..
Marc usually: plays jazzy things.
Marc at a jazz festival: plays house music.
What a legend
Legendary lol
ua-cam.com/video/sytXwAvAdL4/v-deo.html
Its more like. Free form funk jazz. House music is an expression of electronic funk, wich originated in the jazz scene
@@chinghome1351 Nicely said. Marc captures the creative spirit of jazz more than most other musicians who mainly recreate the museum of jazz history.(Of course there’s nothing wrong with that if done well)
@@chinghome1351 What you're saying is not only false, it's not worded precise enough to be relevant. Jazz was a fraction of the influence, a tiny one.
"House music grew out of the post-disco dance club culture of the early '80s. After disco became popular, certain urban DJs -- particularly those in gay communities -- altered the music to make it less pop-oriented. The beat became more mechanical and the bass grooves became deeper, while elements of electronic synth pop, Latin soul, dub reggae, rap, and jazz were grafted over the music's insistent, unvarying four-four beat. Frequently, the music was purely instrumental and when there were vocalists, they were faceless female divas that often sang wordless melodies."
I want this man to perform at my wedding, but he might steal my bride
Let's be honest, he might steal both of you 😏
He would

Can we appreciate not only how skilled not only Marc is but also the person doing the lighting is.
Factual
finally somebody noted the work of a lighting technician :(
This needs more upvotes, even if it was digital or somehow "automated" somebody had to set that shit up; and it's likely out of Marc's toolset to do such a thing ... I think.
Absolutely. To be so on point with this long an improvised set is incredible!
If you say “not only” one more time, I swear fo god. Jk but yeah light technicians are mvps.
You want Jazz?
Too bad, now you're getting this.
-Loop daddy 2022
Loop Daddy, Jazz à Vienne 2022
Actually I didn't want jazz..
jazz at its core is just improvisation!!
the McRibb speaks truth
Improv is as jazz as it gets.
Brain: worst situation would be me in underwear infront of thousands people making stuff up
Marc Rebillet: Hold my clothes i got that
This is the comment! Hahaha
You should see Silverio
💯
He starts the show with only 2 items of clothing, throws 1 away, and by the end is wearing 3 items of clothing. i'm pretty sure this man is casting spells.
Imagine how truly free Marc feels in that moment or anytime he’s live in his pad broadcasting his music to the world all while in his underwear. He’s figured it out.
watching this guy construct his loops live in real time is a bit like watching bob ross paint, every time I think he's maybe made an error he throws it in my face like 'no bitch I know exactly what I'm doing' and proceeds to blow my mind
🤣
I know this is an old comment but holy shit is that accurate 😂😂😂
a big part of improvisation is to make mistakes work. And he is so very good at it haha.
You got that right!
Marc doesn't do cocaine. Cocaine does Marc to get high.
☠️☠️☠️
Word
He's absolutely sober
I want this sentence tattooed on my butt.
Dopest sentiment on Marc EVERRRRRRR! ❤
Of course Marc turned a Jazz festival into a trance house rave. I would expect nothing less. Absolutely killing it!
in his underwear no less
Yeah I don't think there's much room to argue with a man playing an amphitheater in a bathrobe and underwear .
@@breakfast-burrito lmfao!
you want jazz? too bad now u getting this!
You'd hope so. Life needs these interlude of insanity to keep the sanity. Banging tunes all the F**king way!!!
Nobody is talking about the LIGHTING. For a fully improvised show, this designer ATE
if i had to guess id say they mapped the lights to sync with the down beat. does look amazing.
i imagine a dude improvising with Marc going crazy with the lights
@@WhoaD614 there were some times where it was off beat so I don’t think so. Still looked good but it seemed mostly freehand
@@mehmetcangider dressed down even more than marc!
Good point, I agree. Early in the video I had an impression that the lighting was struggling to react to Marc's flow. In festivals, it's often back-to-back acts, there is little to no tech time with the artists, so you gotta be on your toes. By the end though, it looks tight and supports the act beautifully, as if rehearsed. good job.
"Believe in yourself bitch" *proceeds to crowd surf with bubbly* this dude is a living legend
Shoutout to the lighting crew for keeping up with Marc's pace. you'd have to have a cigarette after that session.
I'd want to buy them a round and like some donuts too! They really added to the show
one of the most talented guys out there. 20 years ago if you told somebody there would be a guy who just freestyles music & has a different set every night, has no album or record label & he can pull crowds like this, no one would believe it. dude is THASHIT!

I've never seen anyone bring so much diversity and energy to their sets. Dude is hilarious and his music actually fucking slaps.
@@gavinspaeth4959 when his impromptu track/set slaps harder than well known djs whole careers
not to put anything to shame, but there is a plethora of bands and artists out there that have been doing full impro since forever. Marc definitely does it in his own way tho
@@totalunconcern true. but some people have a little bit more... charisma or "spirit" and get more attention, like him. i know other artists like him too, but they don't can deliver something like him. know what I mean? ^^
The crowd doesn't have a clue whats coming next, sometimes niether does Marc. But that's the beauty of it all.
Ironically, he did in fact give then jazz
marc is the definition of "hold on, let him cook"
Y'all funny af!
It's amazing how he basically does the same thing whether it's his living room or a bar or a street corner or a giant festival. Loop Daddy 4 LYFE
Sort of, he definitely plays bigger beats at festivals like this, he knows his audience. If he's in a laid back setting, he'll play more laid back stuff more (but obviously still plays hard beats at times).
I really wish Marc didn't bring politics into this.. Trump signs Music Modernization Act which protects artists from having their music stolen and played without being paid royalties but, F-Trump, right? Clearly, no one has actually watched a Trump rally.
With that said, I'm still a fan of what you do despite having differing political views.
If this dude was on a RPG he would clearly be a bard with +8000 of charisma and skill
I don't understand you refference.. but I think its a good thing
@@elchatodeoro1 RPG are games where the characters grow through attributes such as Strength and Stamina. Said attributes are higher or lower at the beginning depending on which class the character is. Bard, which is a class, usually does well with the Charisma attribute because...well they're bards, music is their thing lol As for skill, I'm assuming he means the bard's instrument.
Put two and two together, and as the comment says, this dude would be a max level Bard with insane charisma and skill lol
Sauron would turn peaceful after one concert
@@TokyoMystify You are wrong. An RPG is a rocket propelled grenade. The OP means Marc should be straddling a rocket propelled grenade, singing bard-like, with a lot of charisma and skill (+8000 is on a relative scale of 5).
Tech-Bard, prayer of Dibella, blessing the world with charisma and skill
I imagine Marc packing up his bag for Europe. "Oh shit, almost forgot my stage costume!" *tosses a kimono and an extra pair of boxers in the bag*
Don't forget the bra.

Wow, I accidentally (I had no idea who you were and it was free.) saw you perform at a tiny bar in Denton about 6 years ago with maybe 4 other people in the room when you looped a jingle from a mattress commercial.

Marc Rebillet is incomparable.
Here is an individual who is at the absolute epoch of their craft. His command of an entire amphitheater, using an RC-505, a laptop with Main-stage, and his own essence, he just completely owns this audience.
It's all real time composition, very little pre-set, very little worked out beforehand.
He is one of the most fearless artists of our modern generation.
This is the true power of artistry.
To think, only a handful of years ago, this guy was doing lunchtime shows on a Sunday afternoon at a bistro-bar in Texas, to a small, initially disinterested crowd.
Thank you Marc, you inspired the fuck of me today. You help me to see my own vision as an artist, and how I can make it work, too.
Never. Stop. Making.
This is an underrated comment
I argee whole heartedly with everything you have just said.

And also 100%. Correct .
I agree, Main Comment is definitely underrated.
Imagine if he did a show next to pretty lights 😆
This.
This man is pure fire
I once saw someone describe him as "The classy side of cocaine."
The most boss thing is to say "fuck you, jazz" and play a complete improvised concert in the meantime.
is it tho ? sounds like the most jazz thing ever tbh
Came here to say very similar... you gotta have some balls to rock up to a Jazz festival, in your undies and dressing gown... just to say "Fuck jazz, this is what you got" 🤣🤣🤣

That was a truly awful concert.

I must say the show in Berlin also did not really grab me.
Maybe it was because Marc had not his best day - we are all just humans.
He said right at the beginning that he was not feeling well. He obviously still did a bombastic show, but somehow at least for me it was not that kind of cozy club atmosphere...I mean it was in f***ing Max Schmeling Halle which is a a venue for thousands of fans which is normally used for bands like "Gorillaz"...
But also the comments from the first row in front of the stage were so f***ing stupid that night...
Something like "aaahhh" "Waaahhh" "I love you" and "cocaine and hookers"...
I mean that Marc managed to make any impro songs out of this was great, but hell...
that night the brains really did not assemble at the front line...

The fact that he started playing his famous "Girls Club" song at 0:56:00 made me jump out of my chair in excitement!! 😁 Considering all of his stuff is improvised, I also find it really impressive he just remembers it.
as soon as he put on the bra, I knew exactly where this is going.
Girls Club is an all time classic

He basically plays that at every show along with the wake up song
But I think that's all right. Other musicians have their setlist as well and play the crowds favorites.
