Hey everyone! Hope you enjoyed the random finds on this adventure. Would you like to see a follow up of the cemetery in the spring?
Yes ....a closer look would be good ( especially the large shrine .) .
Yes and see if that last house is still standing!
yes!
Yes
I was afraid for u guys when i saw the well and that old house
Before large machines and refrigerators, graves where dug by hand. They used stone buildings like the one with the bars to store bodies till it was warm enough to dig.
They still keep bodies in those buildings until spring, for those who die in the winter.
Exactly what I thought
Ah yes, the holding vaults. I've seen those at other cemeteries and didnt consider that. Thanks!
@@Queeni_3e That's what I thought, but thought I was wrong because it had a window. Seems odd to have a window in a building like that.
Speaking of digging graves by hand, when my daughter was in elementary school her assignment was to share a story about an interesting ancestor. Her great grandfather was a gravedigger. His last name happened to be Bonar. When my daughter told the story in class a kid literally fell out of his seat laughing.
Pretty cool to see an owl that close....
I couldn't believe it. Caught me off guard haha
I love owls i follow the greek religion zeus posoedon Athena but owls are so wise and 😍 beautiful
This was a lot of fun, JP. Thanks for taking me along. Those two houses at the end were scary.
They were very sketchy, but neat to see them hiding in the woods.
I love the comment sections because we can learn what unknown things are.
Have two houses were pretty cool, amazing to see what time and neglect can do!!
Well, this explore had it all...mystery, danger, dereliction, an old cemetery, creeping darkness, even an owl, and most of all great commentary and camera work. Thx, JP, for another random-find video.
Glad you enjoyed it
The cemetery was interesting, loved the stonewall!! Houses were very sad and creepy!! Thanks!! 💖💙💖💙
You're welcome cynthia
I have to thank you and your friends. It's been a while I didn't saw these type of videos... It makes me feel calm for some reason :) You've made my night better. Thank you!!
That is good stuff you guys filmed. Very enjoyable.
Thanks!
The abandoned house at night felt like the house in the Blair witch project.
Yes! I couldn't think at the moment what it reminded me of, but you definitely nailed it.
Neat video, thanks for taking us along.stay safe out there👍🙂
My pleasure
Great video my friend!!! Peaceful winter explore!!!👍👍👍
Thank you
Yes please do one in the spring! Like to see some dates on the tombstones too please. Glad no one fell in the well. Like to see the old houses in day time. Stay safe
That owl sighting was awesome, it looks like the same kind I saw once in my life! A saw-whet
Amazing explore! Just loved the old stonework. Finding that owl was really cool & you were very close. Enjoyed seeing that old house as well. Awesome video & montage!! Thanks Jay.🦉🥰❤
The owl was a very cool experience, but definitely startled me lol. I was impressed by that well too. Would be scary to fall in.
OOH WOW WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SUNSET... SOME OWLS ARE BIG.. IF YOU EVER SEE A ALL WHITE OWL THEY ARE CALLED SNOW OWLS.. IF YOU EVER SEE A BARN OWL THEY ARE VERY BIG..
👍💙
So creepy and awesome.
Instant subscribe and binge watching all your content.
It was quite the adventure going after dark. That was a fun change.
Great video JP! Good wintertime adventure! That graveyard looks really old, kinda spooky with the sun setting! Thanks for conquering the cold and sharing! That well is awesome! So was the owl!
It was a fun day and worth the effort. Didnt want to stop until we knew we found everything.
I like a nice long explore. So many cool finds!
That thing on the hill could be part of an incline. There are those all over Pittsburgh.
Look at the base of the two left on Mt. Washington in Pittsburgh. The foundation to those inclines might look similar.
Jay some very cool Google abondoned finds tonight! I enjoyed the Cemetary Structures the old Water Tower. I was stumped on the old factory / manufacturing plant and the way they were spread out structures. Clearly I saw the old road leading to it? Could it possibly be an old Lumber Mill of sorts. Maybe a Furniture Factory or milling facility? Hmmm...The Green Clapboard abondoned home was very cool! Love these late 19th or early 20th Century Buildings! Great video Jay! Thanks again for all you do!
A mill of sorts definitely seems like a possibility
Really great to see that, old green house. Great video JP👍👍👍
Thanks for checking it out
Just an all around GREAT compilation of places and finds! Even an Owl! So thankful none of the crew fell in the well Oooo so scary! Don't even know how that one house was still standing. So much to see, this vid definitely deserves to be watched over and over to take it all in. Montage is awesome and the bloopers too funny! Thank you for putting this one together for us Jay and thanks to your crew. Luvin the beard! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the kind words. I always love hearing your feedback. 💙
Enjoyed this adventure, awesome cemetary in the snow
Thanks susan. Loved making this for everyone to enjoy.
I love it when you say "Come along with me!" ... If there's a toy its officially abandoned lol. Natures carpet is a sound way to describe the moss on the property exterior. Yes that house at the end had an open door policy ha ha. Great video I missed them so much x
Glad you enjoy my phrases haha
Owl was really cool! I've never seen one in person, either. Surprised it was sitting so low in the tree.
It completely caught me off guard, but was a neat experience. I imagine not too many people go behind the house to disturb it.
Would have loved to seen these locations in warmer temps & daylight. Loved the stone wall & especially the 🦉 (mysterious & sometimes scary, but they are cool).
Great find guys! Thank you.
So that building came with its very own RJ? Amazing 👍🏻🤣
Thank you for the cool video and pictures! Always love the random finds... Take care stay safe. ✌🏻
What amazing finds, wow some really old places, and the water tower, these are fab, thank you for sharing, enjoyed seeing them.
Magnificent wise old owl 🦉 - my favourite bird! So lucky for you. More of those 'random' videos please! Gill 🇬🇧
Thanks gill. More on the way
Cool finds! That owl was the same sort that lived near me. There was an injured pigeon on the ground. The owl swooped down caught it in its claws and flew away with it, in a matter of seconds! The owl looked like a small box with feathers.
Owls are mysterious as i often hear them, but never saw one until now. Was beautiful and startling at the same time. Thanks for stopping by.
That was a beautiful PICTURE of the Owl . Those building look medieval. I WOULD do a background search on that place
Thank you. Its a beautiful bird/animal
Cool video, like all the structures you were able to find. The owl is a Screech Owl. That’s an adult, they don t get very big.
That owl encounter will be one I wont forget. Thanks for stopping by.
Great random finds 👌 still trying to figure out what those two concrete structures are...not a clue 😀
Very interesting 🥰👍 Thanks for sharing your experience with all of us 😊👍👍
Take care and stay safe ❤🙏
Wow love the owl. I bet that house was a beauty in its hay day.
I wonder if those concrete structures in the woods used to have grain silos on top of them.
Someone else mentioned that. Its possible
Forgot to mention the Church structure, awesome!
A lot of older cemeteries here in Colorado have cold storage areas. If someone would die in the winter when the ground was frozen, they would store the body in these buildings until the ground thawed out and was able to get dug up. That's what these first small stone buildings might have been for.
Great video Jay and the added bonus of a handsome owl. Looks like you woke him up 😄
😁
Loved it all...and the little owl in beginning cute! I love owls, they are my fave bird of prey.
Hey Alexandria. Missed your comment on my fb live. The owl was beautiful. Thanks for stopping by.
@@JPVideos81 you didn't miss it I missed it when you were live. I was busy working lol...
Hi Jay. Great video. Cool finds.
Thanks. It was a great evening of exploring.
This was a Care Takers House turned office from. Many years ago. During the Day the Care Taker would go home an it was used for an Office as the would check the plots an recheck for broken headstones or vandalism. The 1st place was for like bigger equipment an the 3 looking plots look like they could have parked Back holes or Tractors. Im sure the bigger place that housed the hand tools was pretty much just that. Now all this is just my oppion only as I've grown up around Older Cemetery's that had Care takers places an such. Also if you see what is referred to as Field Stones outside the main area depending on how old the place is could be Slave Graves.
Thank you for sharing
Where do all the old tires come from in all these abandoned houses, are they like mushrooms they just grow in dark wet places??
This was an amazing video! Thank you very much Jason!
thanks for sharing this one jp love this roadside finds you do keep up the great videos.
Great video!!! That house was so creepy at night. I'm so glad that you didn't attempt to go in any further though. Did not look safe. I've never seen an owl in person either. Poor thing was probably not used to people randomly just sneaking up on him. He was probably like HOO are you? HOO HOO, HOO HOO * bad joke * LOL
Hahaha 🤣🤣🤣
That last line was classic " These cars are a pain in the @$s don't they know we're trying to film here" I love it 😂😂 Really neat stuff to see here !! Cool old stone buildings , poured concrete footings for something , couple cool old houses , a very deep well WOW !! My would have said " See this is why I said stay away from those old houses" when I was a kid and she did tell me those exact words.........but I never listened also a really cool grey owl !! Great video as always thank you for checking them all out !! 👍👍
That line was true, they were a pain in the you know what lol. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Wow that cemetery was big and the house were a little creepy and the 🦉 was beautiful I love your pictures be safe
We use to have a owl set on our back porch in the summer. Loved the video. Wonder what the concrete structure was used for back in the day. Makes you wonder where the people who lived in them went or if their family is still alive. Thank you for the videos.
The chair and couch looks like archie bunkers
WOW...can't believe you have never seen owls before Jay I live in Northern California I have seen a flock of spoted owls in a small tree my friend and I were camping next to back in the 90's and recently had a pair of grate horned owls nest in a large redwood tree in our neighborhood we actually got to see the babies leave the nest one night. The only problems with owls living in your neighborhood are that they can be very noisy at night. My sister used to live in a converted barn, which had a barn owl living in it. It used to roost on her car sometimes and scratched the hell out of the roof of her car.
Great finds! Hate seeing all the trash just dumped in the woods like that.
Me too, but its a common occurrence.
Cool old places. @ 27:25 I get just a glimpse of a toilet paper holder on the left side.
Someone else saw that too. Non private bathroom lol. Thanks for checking out the video.
Awesome adventure! Pretty spooky well and abandoned house!
Another great video! That well scared me, y'all please be careful out there. Thanks for sharing🥰🙏
Always a good idea to have good lighting and friends to join you for night time explorations. Never know what we'll come across.
Awesome adventure Jay, I really enjoyed it!!! I hope you can return to the cemetery, I like walking through them!!! Neat stone structures!!! Those houses were barely hanging on!!! Glad you stayed safe exploring them!!! That well was deep and dangerous!!! I love the owl 🦉, but if it's a screech owl I don't like the sound they make, it's scary!!!
Your pictures are amazing as always 😍 Love the bloopers 💙 Really great google finds!!! Thank you for sharing this adventure!!! Take care Jay, stay safe and God bless you!!!
The first building reminds me very much of descriptions of a jail/holding Cell from way back.
Where it may be link to the Cemetery, storage of bodies before burial.
When bury very few here in the winter
Yes, others have said a holding vault for burials in the winter.
Thanks JP, Those Were Cool Finds. Really Enjoyed. Take Care Guys and Be Safe.
Thanks for watching jerry
I really like this video! I love all the abandon structures around the cemetery, and the house! I’m glad you didn’t go in there it was really dangerous looking! What a great surprise when he saw that owl 🦉! I never saw one in real life either! One thing I worry about is that well being open like that is how many animals could fall there or did fall in there!! 😢 really enjoyed the video!
The upstairs window must have been the bathroom. At 27:05 on the left looks like a toilet paper holder. 🤔
Good catch
Motor and pulley foundations for tramming ore carts. Nice little screech owl too. I have one I call "Bertram" in my backyard.
So you think a large hoist for pulling up and down a slope? Would the rear smaller section be like an anchor for it?
@@JPVideos81 probably the motor platform. There's a super similar setup at one section of campbell's ledge mountain. Along the power line road above swamp road. Lots of rad stuff to see there.
At 11:20 The water tank. Was there reminds me of there a train near there? It reminds me of a tank that would refill steam engines.
Really enjoyed this explore with you and the guys ..So glad y'all were together..especially when exploring the two abandoned houses ...really sketchy ! The stacked stone structures seem to be very old ... Loved seeing the owl. Dana and I came up on a big one just sitting in the middle of the road one night . Lights might have blinded him ..he didn't move . Had to go around him . Our only time seeing one "in person" .. ( Looking forward to the return trip in the Spring : }
Hey barb & dana 👋😊. The owl experience certainly startled me, but glad it waited long enough for me to share how beautiful it was.
The first building could have been used to store bodies in winter, waiting for ground to thaw in early years. Maybe in later years used for equipment storage, or just kept empty.
Most likely. Others have mentioned that, but didnt come to mind at the moment.
The old stone structure with the cross was neat.It must have been the entrance to the cemetery. HOW old are the graves?? Stone structures must be caretakers building back in the day.Loved the owl.Cool find with the buildings and house.
Will do some research when I return in the spring. I mainly focused on the structures.
Friday explore, cool
Thanks. Really enjoyed this video.
Definitely a follow up in the cemetery in warmer months, pretty interesting buildings and structures there. Was that part of mining operation on the hill 🤔.
Cant tell if it was mine related or maybe a type of mill. Some big heavy bases though.
Those are some neat finds; especially, the cemetery. It would be neat to come back to the cemetery in the spring. One could find some really cool things on Google Maps sometimes. Too bad you couldn't get to the one location though. The two abandoned houses towards the end look like they haven't been lived in for decades (the last one was barely standing). They must have been nice houses at some point. Thank you for the adventures!
Always makes ya wonder why the houses become abandoned and what memories were created there.
@15:23, looks like you nearly stepped into a rusted animal trap 😳
Your music choice went awesome with the photo montage ❤
Thanks
At 17:00, I think definitely something mounted. Could it have something to do with mining?
Great catch on the owl.
👍
Great stuff,
Thanks Jay.
Very interesting
Central California Watching
You're welcome
Another great video. I am realizing how much time and work it has to be from leaving home going to a location then film it all then back home the time to edit etc. Thank you for all you do. I love all the videos. I do not like the abandoned homes better like many viewers do as the clutter and rot and decay and all makes me feel some kind of way. I know those are your claim to fame from the beginning but I like the nature and traveling and other type videos just as much if not better. God Bless your days JP.I will go where you go.....
I dont film abandoned as much for a few reasons, but I'm glad you enjoy the other videos as well.
Yes go back and i enjoyed watching video that house was falling apart see you next time 👍
👍😊
That above ground cistern was a neat find. Do you think their may have been a church at that graveyard at one time? That could be a reason for that cistern. Those concrete structures look like the base of old RR trussel. Or do you think it was part of an mining operation. Enjoyed the walk about. ✌✌✌✌
They definitely could of been a church. We may learn more when we return in the spring.
I love 🦉❤️ your channel is my favorite!!
Hey lisa. Hope you're doing better.
I love your vidios and always excited for the next one
Xo from Canada
Thanks shawna
Jay could the shed have been a cript or mausoleum at one time?
Maybe a storage area at one time
Spring is the best time to look at the old walls, they are mostly overgrown with high grass and trees in summer and autumms at many places. Good video.
Thank you
Did you manage to catch any dates off the headstones in the cemetery? I was thinking that those two concrete structures on the side of the road were some sort of coal tipple. The nearby depression almost looked like a railroad cut. Hope you survived the snow storm. Nothing but rain in the sunny south!
Unfortunately no, I was too focused on the structures, but will most likely return in the spring
Very cool.
Interesting idea for a video and it was fun......... even if I don't like the dark !!!!
Dark does make it challenging, but we were determined to finish the locations.
The owl surprise was the best part!! Thanks JP for taking us along!! 🦉
👍😁
We enjoyed it. I have only seen barn owls. And owls at the zoo
Not something i was expecting to see, but was a cool experience.
When you went in the one house. I got scared 😱 lol I was like , No don’t go in there especially at night. I was worried you was going to go through the floor. I always have to remind myself that your fine. Because the video is out lol
@@pmlugo3599 😁
Jay.
I think that was a Barred Owl.
Rik
A few mentioned it's a screech owl.
@@JPVideos81 that owl looked bigger thsn a screech owl and had bars on its chest
Look it uo on the internet and tell me whst you think
,
I always love your videos!!! ❤
💙
How cool to see the owl! What a great explore and adventure! Again, I can't believe the work and construction put into the rock and stone building structures. So sad to see the houses, but very interesting at the same time. Every time I try to imagine what the homes were like back in the day when they were all good. Excellent photos again! Thank you for another awesome video JP!
My pleasure gayle
Yes that would be cool for a spring trip
Another awesome find!!! 😁
Thanks mayzer
Cool video bro. Creepy place...
Hi JP, love your videos. Is it possible to make sure you add captions to all your videos? We have trouble hearing you. Captions make such a difference. We watch them all would like to hear you as well! By the way the building behind the fancy cemetery wall with the statue might have been a cold room. If a cemetery cannot bury all year round because of snow and frozen cold, they often stored caskets and bodies in cold houses until the spring when the ground thawed.
I will try to incorporate that in the future. Thanks for watching and the feedback.
Great adventures Jay! Imagine not seeing that well and falling in, scary to think of the outcome. I loved all the stone structures at the cemetery, wonderful workmanship. Lucky seeing that owl, there such a wonderful bird, my friends daughter calls them flying kitties (lol). Overall great stuff, be careful out and about. 👍
Was certainly a one of a kind and startling experience with the owl lol. Looks like it has a peaceful quiet place to live until we showed up haha
Second video with a bird. Might just be a sign for you JP
😊
Cool video 😎😎👍👍
Hey JP, will you ever be doing a follow up on the Scranton Lace Company? Is that project moving forward since your last video?
I did do an update I believe last year or so. Not much has changed since then.
