I just got this fairing for a '22 Z900RS in Candytone Blue with the striping and the smoked screen, they called it the Road Comet Big. I concur with every point you made. It installed very well, it is very well made, and it blocks the wind...very well.
Right?!?! It’s insane what it does for us. My guess is it’s similar to how the cafe version feels. Any issue with the relocated brake reservoir? I had to bend mine a bit
Wonderful review! I've been considering this fairing for my '24 SE. I love the look. Basically the cafe look without all the weight on the wrists of an actual cafe. You've sold me on it. I'll order one of theses along with a Racefit exhaust. Can't wait 🤠
The Kawasaki used to be a cult machine in Germany. But I always see bikers riding around here on Harleys. The motorcycle clubs are also becoming very dominant here. Well done, mate 🤠⚒
Hi i am a french biker with a Z900RS 50Th Anniversary and I was wondering if I can more easily find and buy this Chic Design Fairing in Germany ? Because I'm afraid of the possible customs fees and VAT that will increase the overall price. Thank you for your help.
I like it and without a fairing your upper body is constantly getting a beat down like you said. Even a tiny gauntlet fairing makes a huge difference and a lot of people don’t quite understand. Looks awesome 😎
In 1978 I bought a GS 1000 Suzuki , put a very similar cafe fairing on it and worked just as you describe. I'm 72 now and want a Z900rs with a Masqeroad fairing. Your bike looks great.
I like the look of that fairing. I used to have a Kaw '83 GPZ550 that had a similar GP fairing and it worked great -- it was just enough. I later bought a 2005 Honda 1100 Saber and I resisted getting a windscreen because I really liked the naked look. But when I got the bike above 75 mph my body would become a sail and my body angle would actually affect the steering of the bike. It was also exhausting to do day trips, even at normal highway speeds. I finally added a small, quick release windscreen that was just big enough to fix the problem. It looked great, too so I wished I had done it sooner. So, I'm a big fan of small fairings like what you added. To me, it still looks like a retro bike. I don't know why we mostly see those tiny thumbnail fairings on all the newer bikes today. Good video, thanks.
I actually ran a Puig mini screen for a bit to see if this was worth the price and it def sold me on the idea of it. I really do like this setup and don’t plan to ever remove it hahaha. A quick detach setup would be nice though for in town riding vs more long range touring. Thanks for watching and the comment Rick!
I like the new fairing!! And it seems to help... A lot!! I think it went from a 70's retro look to an early 80's retro look! And I definitely would have went the same route as you..get the fairing you know you want, wait or no wait. You went all professional on this one man!! Between the two cameras, transitions and graphics. I think you spent some time editing this one!
Looks fine the style of it works for the bike well I feel and for those that are looking to get one of them, you have covered it well man...thumbs up buddy.
Fairing looks good man. I think it shape and design fit to the bike quiet nicely, and blocking all that wind is a major plus. Well worth the value to enjoy to enjoy those extended rides🏍👍
I had a fairing on both Kawasakis I had, a Z900 and a Z750E. They are very practical, especially if you are riding long distances, or in cold weather. I found that the bikes looked incomplete without it, rather than thinking that the original appearance was in any way compromised. That was from a riding position in particular, but also from a viewers perspective.
@@ChopperFett I agree. If I owned one of these Kawasakis, it would be the first accessory I would buy. Personally, I think the naked handlebar-dials-cables-master cylinder look is really messy, unless it's on an old Triumph or something similar. The fairing cleans the look up, and provides better aerodynamics. After all, it's standard on the cafe version.
Great video. You are a natural. I am not a fan of the look of bikini fairings on the RS however I get your reasoning for buying one . More food for thought. The naked look , particularly the iconic twin instrument cluster is what drew me to the bike .
It looks great! Glad you added it to my next Kawi ;) As far as why - those standard bikes get tiring at speed, the wind just pushes under your feet and up they go! My Vulcan 800 bobber has floorboards on it because I had the same problem when I switched to pegs - back to the boards I went!
@@ChopperFett Wait, what's "fair money"??? Like, money I saved up for going to the County Fair? Money that's an even number? I got a couple of bucks lying around ;) After seeing a dealer ask $16k for a 2016 Vaquero with 10k on the clock, I'll have to wait a bit...
Your "Harley Parking Only" sign behind you cracks me up...you should consider giving that to me HAHA. Can't believe I'm saying this, as I hate the look of a faring on anything, BUT, I really like the look of the faring on your Saki!
Just what I was looking for, a review of their bigger fairing, thank you! Seems like a great choice and it fits really beautifully with the looks of the bike imho! May I ask how tall you are, I'm 187cm, so 6 feet 1⅝ inch. Hoping to have the same result regarding wind 😁
'Moist' 🤣 I think the fairing looks great, suits the bike perfectly, probably better than the actual kawasaki genuine fairing, thebpyramid plastics version paint job doesn't look great whereas the chic design looks like it's a factory fit part 👍
Great video thanks for the review. Can you please tell me what the camera is that is hanging out on the pole filming you riding? Fantastic footage!! Thanks
Truth! I never cared for the color schemes avail on the cafe. This came prepainted and all that jazz so it was the best of both worlds sorta. Thanks for watching.
Hoping you will still do install video on the fairing.Have been told a different bracket is needed for the brake reservoir(rezoma bracket ) because i have lower handlebars installed?? ? Im more interested in the masqeroad over the comet for better wind protection . But if you need a break you need a break. Jesus bless ya from a brother from down under ⛪🤠🇦🇺🏍
Hey Jacko. I have the install filmed just haven’t edited it up yet. Mine came with a brake reservoir bracket. I have moved my handlebars forward a bit so it requires some slight bending (it’s not the strongest of metal so it took no effort).
You waited 7 month, or you are still waiting for it ? Was it the annouced deadline? I like the comet model, but the 5 month waiing displayed right now t afraid me.

@@ChopperFett Yeah, I don't like how close it is to kinking, but there have been no issues so I don't really worry about it.
Would you happen to have any pictures of your bike with that fairing on? Extremely interested to see how it looks in that color!

Thank you. I think it’d be cool to break up the cruiser MCs with some sportier bikes.

The fairing looks great! I think it looks the best out of all the other fairings you showed, so the fact it blocks that much wind is a huge plus!
It’s amazing man. I used it into about a 15mph wind today and it still was smooooooth
I like it and without a fairing your upper body is constantly getting a beat down like you said. Even a tiny gauntlet fairing makes a huge difference and a lot of people don’t quite understand. Looks awesome 😎
It’s why I love the cafe fairing on the Dyna. JUST enough to do some good

Looks great! Sounds like you made the right choice. Loved the editing. Very professional. 😎
Thank you thank you! I try haha
I do think your fairing looks good but I prefer the naked look, really happy with mine with no screen . Great bikes
Nothing wrong with that Glenn. I personally do think it looks better without too.
I just picked up a new 50th Anniversary addition and will definitely order on of these. Thanks for the videos.
Love the 50th. Glad they brought back the orange and brown for it! Enjoy it man it just gets better and better
Planning to get mine very soon, Adds a lot of aesthetic points. Thanks for this video as well!
Awesome Neo! It faired well into a pretty good breeze this morning.
Always a tough choice between form and function but I think the fairing does a good job towing the line. Good one chop!
Thanks man. Kind of best of both
I really like the look of that fairing!!! Fits the bike well. Glad it’s working out for you and you didn’t spend all that 💰💵 for nothing!!!
Pretty sure the Mrs wouldn’t have let me order anything else ever lol
Totally worth the money! I can definitley tell the people about it. Good video!
Tell them all about it. Preach it!

This one took a fair amount of work to film edit and piece together. I kind of want another Z just do a true 80s style with green

Hahahah was wondering where this comment was going. Nice ride today!
It looks fine. I say it's your bike, do what works for you. I changed out to a taller windscreen on the spyder for the same reason.
Comfort is king man comfort is king.
It's so weird how some folks feel a bike has wind flow issues and others don't. I love the z900rs airflow but I still love the fairing !
I dig that fairing man, it does seem to complete the bike! Totally worth the $600
Now I need $600 more for the extended tail haha
It has the classic Cafe racer look like the original GPZ 550
That fairing suits the bike very well. Gives off a Lawson Replica vibe (z1000J).
Ohhhhhh yes it does (I just looked it up hahaha)
I love it. I was going to buy one for my Bandit but I swapped it for a fazer so can't do that anymore 😅
Well the Fazer will only be around so long right?
Very informative video about a beautiful fairing 👍 Did you mention your size at some point as results may vary on rider's size
cool bike !!!
Luv it!
Most of us put them on our bikes (in the 70’s! So I’m not sure where you get that it changes the look or whatever .
Really suits the bike, great review
Thank you!!!
The bike still looks amazing. Nice.
Thank you!!
I gotta ride that bike
You just gotta huh? Lol
The fairing is almost an exact replica of the 1982 Eddie Lawson fairing
Holy moley you ain’t kidding….. and now I want that bike as it’s my birth year to boot lol

I think the cafe version of the RS essentially does about the same thing, I just never cared for their overall bike paint schemes.
Great video thanks for the review. Can you please tell me what the camera is that is hanging out on the pole filming you riding? Fantastic footage!!
Thanks
*It doesn't look like the Z900RS Cafe cowl but it looks nice thanks to the color scheme.* And if you like it, that's all that matters.

it looks bloody awesome

Like your edit style , ultra slow zooms ,almost imperceptible. The insta 360 stability is very impressive .Did you add image stabilization in post ?
Yea I add the image stabilization in the software and export and mp4 to work with

Is the chic comet from samurairider legit or a copy? Thx
Is it sealed around the headlight?
Nice
Thanks Larry!
Ordered one from Japan 7 month wait time 😅
You waited 7 month, or you are still waiting for it ? Was it the annouced deadline? I like the comet model, but the 5 month waiing displayed right now t afraid me.
how much larger is it compared to the road comet fairing ?
So the total height is about the same. It extends a tad bit more down below the headlight and then it’s a lil fatter.
Honestly they are probably blocking about the same wind so if I was to order again I’m going for whichever has the shorter lead time.
Sucks they are sold out
Yea I would definitely contact Webike Japan for an ETA.
