I met him in Edinburgh when he was giving talk at Waterstones book shop and I will never ever forget the time. He taught thousands of peaple astronomy and even pro astronomers! The sky at night programme just not the same without him. He helped me alot. I miss him as he was a true legend in astronomy.
I know he's dead now but wow it look like he was talking to me. Odd English grandad teaching me about how to start to understand the Space. I hope Ican watch more of this videos. Really interesting

Patrick Moore should have retired from The Sky at Night because of his health. In the last few months he was on he looked so ill and frail and you couldnt tell what he was saying, he couldn't walk in the end, but he still wanted to appear
RIP Patrick Moore.
My idol growing up learning my way around the skies.
Glad I found this again.
Happy hunting all.

R.I.P sir Patrick Moore thank you for your work peace.
You really will never find a better teacher of astronomy than Sir Patrick Moore.
The personification of a Great Britain.

He was a truly fascinating eccentric brilliant man. NASA used his maps for first moon landing.
He was the world's leading authority on the moon ! For me - he's the man...
An absolutely amazing individual - thanks for your eternal optimism and zeal for life.
To me, he will always be the "GamesMaster" ;)
Would have been great if he could have appeared on Star Trek as guest actor.

I think Sir Patrick meant 12.5 inches when he said 6 inches
Well, a lot of men fall foul of that confusion.
Makes me want to play Galactic Civilizations games.
