For many of The Monster's opponents, it's all fun and games. They're sure they know his game plan, his tactics, speed, power, accuracy, offense and defense...and how to counter all of it...
Then, one by one, Inoue's opponents are led to the slaughter, fed to The Monster, sacrificed to the ring gods, as it were...
Naoya Inoue is a small, humble kaiju, with talents that, as far as I'm concerned, are beyond anything even generational.
    He is The Monster.
Much love and respect from America!!

@@nickw6617 Indeed, he's definitely fast and powerful, but above all he's smart, accurate, and has godlike timing. Setting traps to force the opponent to move exactly the way he wants, and timing them so perfectly that it almost seems like he's reading their mind. Even without full force, the right punch in the right spot at the right angle can put anyone to sleep.
I think those attributes are what's going to carry him up the divisions, as guys get bigger and his power isn't as pronounced. He'll get his KOs more from technique rather than brute force or his athletic gifts.

    Can't say it enough.
Butler had the best explanation of why he couldn't throw or wouldn't throw. He knew that there were "lapses" in Inoue's punches but it was because he knew Inoue was leaving himself open for a counter... so he could counter your counter. This made Butler hesitate and shell up.
This was exactly what we saw from Fulton. We talk a lot about Inoue's speed and power... but Inoue is constantly laying traps behind traps. In combination of Speed/Power/Timing, it makes sense that a fighter of Fulton's level would struggle.
Honestly, it should make people realize that Butler (while was a pushover), had a legitimate reason to hesitate. Dude spent all night trying to find something to work lol. Same way it went for Fulton.

The same week had two guys who were supposedly in a 50/50 fight decimated their opponents. Boxing has had a great year this go around. I hope it continues going forward. I love Inoue he's just so explosive and has great fundamentals. Everything he does is next level. There's very few fighters who are well rounded with that dog in them. @@cjjams7930 I really hope Fulton absorbs Naoya's essence, learns from Naoya, and becomes a great puncher. If Fulton develops his power and changes his narrative, he could definitely be an all-time great much like Julian Jackson. Fulton simply needs to become a devastating puncher. It can be done. Julian did so. After his first loss in 29 fights being undefeated, Julian declared from that day forward, he would never lose unless a fighter felt his devastating power. Mind you, he was never a power puncher before then. So, he dropped his boxer outfighting style and dedicated his craft to becoming infighting specializing in one-punch KOs. In his next fight, Julian Jackson went on to become one of the hardest punchers of all time.
Julian is not known because Don King and his promoters marketed him very poorly since he wasn't an American.

TL;DR One doesn't simply become a devastating power puncher overnight @@danielsmithiv1279
There are very complex factors determining punch mechanics that can be as a result of genetic body condition or movement habits that are difficult to change and must be done gradually over time. Indeed, these mechanics are also often kept, seen through the fact that fighters tend to keep their power into aging more than they do their speed. Julian Jackson was a beast, but he absolutely was a power puncher before his first loss to McCallum. 27 of his first 29 fights ended by KO or TKO, and only one of those was after round 5. If that isn't a power puncher I don't know what is.

PfP is not just about the wins stats. It should be how dominant are those wins. KO ratio should be the main criteria. This is why Mayweather is not on the list. However, Inoue has 90% KO ratio; higher than Usyk or Crawford. This kind of KO ratio is unprecedented especially in the lower weight divisions. Inoue has vacant all the belts in 118lbs and moved right away up to fight the top dog in 122lbs and took 2 belts with dominant fashion.

If you post a INOUE post on TOP RANK or any boxing page, in the comments youll see filipinos talk shit calling him DUCK DUCK or use duck emoji and call him turtle in japan fight outside japan duck duck duck, filipinos are so ignorant it pisses me off they still think CASIMERO the nobody can beat him even though TAPALES is a 2 belt holder AND tapales is also A FILIPINO but filipinos dont want him which makes NO SENSE.Gawd its so annoying. I am glad this isnt facebook but youtube and youtube has real boxing fans. Filipino pages still make posts and memes about mayweather "RUNNING" to beat manny even though you cant RUN IN A RING, he outlanded manny in every possible way, they said look at punch stats which I did and Manny all he did was THROW MISS PUNCHING

    • @JamesDeanStudiesLanguage
      @JamesDeanStudiesLanguage 10 місяців тому +3

I am a huge Inoue fan. He is my favorite. After watching that fight a few times, it was clear that Inoue simply had gaps in his skill set that Donaire exploited. Donaire timed Inoue several times. Inoue had a lot to learn from that fight, and learn he did.
The second fight Inoue entire game plan changed. He virtually never lowered his guard and every time he threw a punch he prememptively dodged a counter punch. Inoue was like a viper. The level of focus and respect he had for Donaire was fascinating to see. Inoue was dialed in and much more refined and fundamental in his boxing.
Just look at his feet and hand placement during the second fight. It is much better. Tight, controlled.
There was this one cross he threw early where he did a double hop forward to land it, before jumping back to neutral stance. I have watched that fight so many times. It was a thing of beauty.
