I took Russian in college and Ptofessor Gregory, the instructor, had been a professional singer, so we learned a lot of Russian folk songs. For two years after college, I had a Russian co-worker and I was able to keep up with speaking until she moved. That was 50 years ago, but I still enjoy the singing.
