The rooms are odd. But the bathroom for guest is on point esp with kids to keep floors from getting wet and is already shower floor. That’s how I’d want the guest bathroom to be. As for master need closet and a bathroom of own. Other than that not that great but the porch looks good with the windows and doors. It’s cute.

Needs more natural light- too stuffy

I am not a fan of this one. The layout is odd to me with the master bedroom not an ensuite and right up front along with the laundry room. I prefer those things near the back of the house. Not enough natural light for my taste, and I am not a fan of the shorter ceiling heights on the slope. Also, what is the rail on the roof on the long side?
That rail is a safety measure meant to break the accumulation of snow.
Instead of snow just sitting there and turning into ice, its own weight will cause it to break in smaller chunks.
Thank you so much! I wonder why we don’t use them here? We live in the Canadian Arctic so we get snow for eight months of the year. 🤔

With the exception of insufficient cabinet and food prep space and a bathroom away from the bedrooms and a laundry room that doesn’t accommodate a separate washer and dryer, I kind of like this home. I would replace the fireplace with a cast iron stove with oven as they are far better at heating an entire home. From the outside, it is quite a unique curb appeal and I was expecting poor natural room lighting which didn’t seem to be the case. Move the bathroom’s closer together (like a master suite) and I’d like it more.
