A quick fix for some issues I came across with my car the other day. Hopefully this is helpful and comes in handy for someone experiencing these issues!

Two years later and still helping others....me haha I remember I had this issue a few years back and I took to dealer and they didn’t charge and told me that my ground was loose and fixed. It happened to me again when I took off my HIDs which was connected to one of the grounds. I was pulling my hair as I couldn’t remember then I saw your video and saved me another trip to the dealer looking like a fool lol. Thanks man!
MAN THANK YOU! i installed my jlt 3.0 yesterday and mounted the bracket there and hill assist, power steering, etc stopped working and i’m glad i saw this vid. i took the bracket off and works fine now lol..
Thanks for sharing. I have a Ford Edge 2017 with same issues. Ground not connected to the same thing. Since it was mentioned a low battery may be the issue, will test that. Thanks. EDIT: We checked the fuse. It was good. We decided, since it is connected between the battery and alternator and fully electronic, lets see if we can reset it like a computer. We disconnected the positive cable from the batter for about 20 minutes. Reconnected and VOILA! it reset and all is good now. We will see tomorrow if the issue shows up again when I leave to run errands. But for now, it saved a major headache and thousands of dollars in repairs.
I have a 2015 Ford Edge sport and my battery is mysteriously being drained each morning I got to start it and it’s dead. Now this morning battery dead which I just replaced and once started hill side assist and drive assist isn’t working
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I disconnected the positive cable for the battery terminal waited literally one minute reconnected it and I now have power steering and all of the lights are off!
Saw a video by tune+ (i think it was him), he shows the ground installed on top like you discovered it should be. Just FYI. I enjoy watching the vids you make.

I disconnected my positive cable from the battery terminal and waited one minute and reconnected it and boom all of my lights are off and my power steering and hillside assist, traction control all of it is restored.

My 2018 just suddenly started spitting out Hill Start Assist Not Available and Service AdvanceTrac. I don’t have power steering and cruise control doesnt stay on. I only have an OTS Cobb stage 1 tune and have never messed with any of the grounds. My battery was just replaced a couple weeks ago and now this, any other ideas? I’m a UA-cam mechanic and broke as a joke so hopefully this isn’t super expensive.

And it won't let me turn TC back on now. So no TC or PS. My earth is okay. This is on a 2014 Kia Proceed GT. I'm wondering if it is the main fuse.
Unfortunately not the solution for my 2016 Ford Fusion EcoBoost (POS Edition). I pulled the ground, cleaned the contacts and bolt holding ground in place. I also disconnected the battery for 15 minutes. Still getting the same errors. Engine was replaced a year ago under extended warranty, cracked engine block between Cyl 1 & 2. It took 5 months to replace it.
Ya I own a 2014 Ford fusion titanium and I have all 3 of those alerts but my layout is differently from your engine so im trying to figure out what's causing my issues I haven't seen any loose wires or anything any advise would be great
@@brettchristopherson5082 the main wiring harness had chew marks so a rodent got in there and chewed up a while I couldn't see that was all that was wrong with mine

@@alonzogonzalez7135 check your abs sensors, they all need to have a ring inside the port where the nut goes in, Make sure that all the rings are there and not broken.
@@anthonyperez8448 eventually my power steering completely went out. Had to change the entire steering rack myself. It’s fairly easy if you’re experienced enough.
this did not work....my power steering/advancetrac came on. I went and done this and it just came back on as soon as I started back up. I took it back to the dealership and had a new powersteering replaced. $800 later with 3 days of no car, I got it back. The next day everything locked up again. With everything being electronic in my 2010 ford fusion a simple alignment will throw it off and also, my front right tire that keeps giving me problems. I will replace both and try to let you know what happened afterwards. Now, my engine light has came on and my car cuts off while driving. Something 10 times in twenty minutes. Aggravating....but, I found out a battery replacement will fix everything above that I had mention. I will replace batter and cables and if that resets everything in my car I will be so happy. I will be upset that a $100 fix was the only problem seeing I paid $800 for something that did not need to be replaced... :(
Try using forscan to reset the traction control fault and then do same for the power steering. It is abs, tcs, and pscs in forscan. After paying the dealer thousands to fix twice before, I tried this and power steering came back. We will see if it sustains itself or if there's another problem.
@@gridiron2112 thanks bro for telling about Forscan that’s the obd2 scanner ive been looking for to fix the steering wheel lock, all the other ones are either too expensive or only fix check engine lights.
Thks but local ford dealer says even though it has 60k warranty on power train, it does not cover power steering !! ?? believe that ?? or is someone misinterpreting ?? right now im at 57777k...im stumped and ford 888 number is phillipines and they say go to local dealer ... amazing !!

You disconnected the positive cable or the negative? I didn’t think you were supposed to undo the positive with the negative still connected?

My car died and triple AAA came to jump it. Immediately after they jumped my car, the electronic power steering light, ABS light came on.
What did you wind up doing to fix that ?

try the steering assist fuse 2015 Ecoboost Fuse #64
If you would have put it the same way again and just moved it side to side it would have made new contact points. It wasn't that you switched it.

At that point I’d just have ford look at it if it’s still giving you issues. My issue was caused by improper installation basically
