Ramadan Mubarak everyone! We were in MOROCCO for the beginning of Ramadan and wanted to share our very first experience with you. Join us for Suhur (the meal before dawn and fast) and Iftar / Ftour (the meal that breaks the fast) and our experience fasting for the first time.
Our Moroccan Ifar was absolutely incredible, and all homemade. We would like to thank Moroccan Food Tour’s chef, Ihajja, for a delicious first Iftar. Our huge Moroccan feast consisted of a varieties of: pastilla, briouate, quiche, chausson and MORE!
We experienced our first Ramadan at the beautiful Riad Zyo (riad-zyo.com/i...) in Rabat. Thank you so much for the kind hospitality!

@@hacbac1472 he/she's talking about the traditions that involve food and drinks that are unique to morocco , we know that anyone who's muslim eats the iftar and suhoor but the dishes served differ from culture to another , although dates are always present on the iftar table no matter what the culture is that's the only common thing .

I know you enjoyed this food tremendously. First time I had Lamb, I had it in a Tagine ..I NEED a Tagine! My friend married a wonderful Moroccan Man & converted to Islam. Hes taught me so much! The Food is amazing but the presentation & love that goes into it is outstanding! Love the food and learning about the culture etc...something everyone should try and educate themselves about.

I'm glad you guys did try to fast for a day of Ramadan. Its a very good practice whether you're Muslim or non Muslim. The idea is to cleanse yourself, physically and spiritually. Physical cleanse means that you refrain yourself from eating and drinking to almost anything, healthy or naughty that we normally do almost all year round, and the month of Ramadan is your chance to give yourself a cleanse from your normal eating habit, which is good for your body system to have a little break. And some may loose some weight too which is awesome.
Spritual cleanse means you heighten up yourself to much better self control. Also it's a good reminder that there are still lots of others who are still suffering from hunger and poverty. Us lucky ones need to remind ourselves how fortunate we are to have some comfort hearty meal every day. It also makes you closer to God and faith, no matter what you believe in.
All in all, fasting is a great practise that we can do not just for Ramadan but all year round. For those who are non Muslim, it maybe is a lot not to eat and drink all day from sunrise to sunset (because it is a practise for all Muslims that started when you were younger and getting used to when you are older). My suggestion is to drink only plain water in small sips when you are too thirsty, it's still a good practise. Because you don't want to loose the idea of refraining yourself from eating and drinking day time, which is so hard to most people. It's the basic discipline of fasting and the thoughts to those unfortunates that count....

i use eat 1 sandwich and warm glass of milk then full stop till aftari

I didn’t know it was not allowed to even drink water during Ramadan though... Maybe this is the first time for me to watch people enjoying breaking the fast on UA-cam !
