Welcome back to Turkey and our STREET FOOD IN TURKEY series! Today, we are eating our way through ADANA, one of the most famous cities for TURKISH STREET FOOD!
We eat Ciğer kebab (liver kebab) for breakfast, which was cooked over charcoal. The best way to enjoy liver kebabs is to cover them in cumin powder and eat the fatty chunks. Next, we wash down the street food kebab with Şalgam suyu (fermented purple carrot juice), which is very similar to Turkey’s pickle juices. Of course, we needed to try ADANA KEBAB in Adana, so we ordered two big plates. It was cooked to perfection over charcoal with loads of spice and was extremely JUICY!
Later, we visited Kazim Bufe to try their famous Banana Milkshake. It was served super cold, sweet and jam packed with fresh bananas. To end our amazing day of eating, we wanted to try another Adana specialty, which is Şırdan and Mumbar (braised and stuffed sheep intestine). Although we usually do not enjoy intestines, having all kinds of Turkish spices seasoning the dishes, it tasted quite delicious!
Also in the market was a traditional cafe serving amazing künefe and charcoal coffee. The künefe was made fresh and all handmade.

FYI, Şırdan is not made from large intestines. It’s made of a certain part of a sheep’s stomach called “Abomasum” . Thank you for the great video of my hometown 👏🏻👏🏻
Kind of sheep gut. Abomasum is present in cows too , this is place where grass is mostly digested.
It is like our kazak kazi-karta made of horse intestine stuffed with horse meat:)

Adana is the capital city of Kebap. I can recommend you Ciğerci Mahmut, Kaburgacı Yaşar Usta, Beyzade restaurant. They are another level. Also, you can not eat bad Kebap in Adana in any restaurant but if you want to go best, those 3 restaurant are really good.

Dessert name Kadayıf/ Kadayif and Soğuk Baklava from Sıtkı Usta. you should try really delicious. Diyarbakir historical place names: Hasan Paşa Han(inn), Sülüklü Han(inn), Ulu Cami(mosque), Meryem Ana Klisesi( Virgin Mary Church), Coppersmith Bazaar , Hevsel Bahçeleri/ Hevsel Garden(was protected from Unesco), On gözlü Köprü (ten-eyed bridge) , Sur (the Great Wall of China is first giant wall and the Great Wall of Diyarbakir is second giant wall in the world.

This good vlog about my country's cuisine. I usually see the similar kinds of key foods in vlogs here and there. There are also many many good staple Turkish dishes vegan based but very tasty, some fish dishes, good desserts other than baklava. We have many good dishes other than kebabs too. Soups, pot dishes, pastries, appetizers, cheeses, drinks, etc.

Turkish dude from Ankara speaking: I've tried many Adana kebabs all over Turkey, you can find decent ones outside Adana, but I assure you you CAN'T find that banana milkshake anywhere else. You should definitely try that.

Great theme, great visuality....In Turkey, the "Usta(master)" means a person who devotes himself to a career field. There are also "usta" (masters) in the kitchen and they devote themselves to a cooking theme. "Kebapçı Ali Usta Adana Kebap, Hakan Usta Sirdan, Şalgamcı Senol Usta , etc.

You can't go wrong with Turkish food.
'Adana' is the spicy sibling. Generous amounts of hot red pepper flakes and paprika are kneaded into the meat mixture giving it a deep red color and fiery flavor. 'Urfa' on the other hand, has very little red pepper at all. The meat is seasoned with salt, pepper and other regional spices like cumin and sweet paprika.
Yes, this one wasn't too spicy just very flavourful. We've had some really spicy ones too!
