I also did one too, 7 hours total, complete nightmare, the only way is with a freeze machine. Any other way is not cost effective .
colaigor it's not that which is hard, it's getting the glass off, you smash it up and you just end up with smashed glass stuck to the phone instead. The glue is THAT bad even when smashed it still holds the glass on. So you end up with the back of the phone like a sheet of glass paper and you have to cut it off with razor blades, but end up getting new blades every 5 mins as they constantly blunt or snap. Is some nasty glue big time holding it on, like no other iPhone.

Takes my techs no more than a couple hours now to do the back glass. Repetition, it gets easier

Motherf....iPhone X is a nightmare to repair. I work as a part-time mobile repair guy and have had bad repair experience with HTC and Apple. But this one takes it to whole another level
Well, new solutions are always there.
Justin Case never repairing an iphone X... Recommendation, just take it to apple.... Screen replacements are expensive when oled... Now they're for iphones... Yikes
Oh and another interesting thing to come up with would be an alternative to the "Horizon machine" - the machine that pairs the new Touch ID home button in a screen replacement to the phone (among other things).

I have an idea - you should try to come up with a way to cheaply and accurately manufacture iPhone housings. Also you should come up with a way to print imei, serial, etc. numbers on those housings.
Oh, and another great thing to try to come up with is a method to replacing just the back glass on iPhone 8/8+ and iPhone x. That would be great!

Such a dismantling method may lead to a problem with the screen and camera loop. there is another method, in my video there is an example iphone x and iphone xs

I failed at 12:38 , It needs to be placed firstly the down side where the flex cable it is, after I notice that I immediatelly pushed the OLED to remove from the frame to attach down side firstly, but after I pushed I hear somecracking sound and after I test the screen to see it appeared several lines on the left sides, almost done, now I know for next time.
Please what settings do you use for lamination, vacuum and debubble? Thanks

Wouldn't it be easier to remove the glass with a freeze machine and leave the amoled in the frame , and then re laminate the new glass to the amoled / frame assembly ?. Iv seen this done before with the Samsung edge screens and seems to work ok.
using b 7000 to glue the frame will last? wouldnt the frame will start separate after using for long time

REWA can you put a camero into the pressure chamber and film the bubble removing process? I am curious to see the bubbles go away in low pressure. Probably from the sides

maybe try a fake gopro that costs 20$ or something? what can you lose :D low pressure shouldn't harm the electronics
A go pro in a waterproof housing may work as they can be used for diving, so can stand crazy pressure
Hello, I took the glass off and everything, i get no image after it. The touch works because i can hear the phone unlock once I swipe up but I get no image. You think the OLED is done for?

Not without damaging the flex cable. Too many obstructions in the way, as opposed to the glass side which has none.
After i remove the frame middle of the touch not working. If i change the touch layer it will work or not?

Thanks for the question. Our repair engineers usually have function tests on the screen after every refurbishing step to make sure everything is alright in this section,but in consideration of the video duration, the relatively unnecessary parts were edited out.

The temperature we applied in the video is listed below in celsius for reference only. Frame Separating: 110℃
LCD Separating: 90℃
OCA Laminating: 55℃
Glass Laminating: 45℃

It's anti-static wrist strap.
It’s still against waterproof this iPhone??
It will lose the waterproof function after disassembled, but this function can be partially recovered by applying a layer of water resistant adhesive.
So just get a new screen instead of replacing glass? This looks difficult

I would never use an aftermarket screen on an iPhone with 3D Touch.. Too much tech in the screen.. 3rd party companies can’t replicate it 100%
I buy lots of screen. AAA+ top tier iphone 7 plus screens ive had good 3d touch on. But youre right, nothing compares with OEM. 3d touch will have functionality but wont be anywhere near as sensitive as OEM
You are right that OEM screen is better than the aftermarket one, but the prices also differs a lot. For now, aftermarket screen has become more and more mature and stable. People use aftermarket screen for it is more cost-effective. Actually, customers are free to choose.

Why you using 2 machine. There are Automatic laminating and bubble removing machines. Why you use old method to do this.
I’m assuming this repair ruins its water rating? Apple re-apply a new rubber lining, replace the entire panel and smack on a repair warranty. These guys effectively just glue another bit of glass on the panel... and it eventually starts to peel off again.
