- Join us as we return to Liseberg amusement park in Sweden, 14 months on from the opening of Helix. Along with taking a look at how the parks Mack Megacoaster is 14 months on, we also ride the new attraction for 2015, Mechanica! We take a look around the rest of this beautiful Swedish park with plenty of ride footage with laughs along the way.

You are so lucky to go to such amazing places! The only theme parks I have been to where Camelot back in 2011 and Alton towers in 2010! I wish I could go to another park in Europe.
I love how your at once place one minuet and another the next , I love theme parks / coasters but i don't get to go to places that often because no one in my family like's them haha. Ive been to flamingo land and blackpool pleasure beach but both were fairly a long time ago. Great video as always shawn!!

Gotta agree with you there on Mechanica. It's a good ride, but I wouldn't want to wait too long for it. We only rode it once during our two days there and haf to wait half an hour for it. Helix on the other hand walk-on at best and a 5 minute queue at worst. It was awesome.

Sagoslottet (fairy tail castel ) is a nostalgic ride.

I can't wait to go to this park! And I'll go to Liseberg in September when the queue lines are very short so I can ride Helix many times, btw I live in Sweden! Halloj alla svenskar!

Liseberg looks a loverly place to visit, it's amazing how it's still light outside at 10pm there.
Which is better, Blue Fire or Helix?
That dark ride uses music from Efteling's Dream Flight by the way
Matt Creek Helix all the way for me and its so light because its in the summer but on the winter it gets quite dark
Hey i recommend you travel too liseberg in summer then it's loads of people or when it's nice weather couse then it's loads of people.

Being the same model as AIR, assuming this is a permanent model and AIR is a travelling one, how do the two compare when it cones to force etc?

Do you ever get nervous going on new rides? I hate it, but I love the ride afterwards!
sam farley Never nervous for new rides, however the flat rides on top of Stratosphere at Las Vegas will change all that

the juncker I don't think so. The dark ride "Sagoslottet" opened in the 1960s but the Droomvlucht in 1993. Wonder who is THIEFS grrr :P

What hotel did you stay in, and how good and close was it (so I know if I ever go)? And is the language barrier a problem since it's not a massive park?
***** Language is no issue at all, English can be spoken by most people

The hotels are also very good with English
***** i use to stay at Gothia towers(the hotel at 29:16) its just over the street and its really nice and this time i will stay at Lisebergs own hotel:Liseberg Heden which looks nice and its not that far away and almost everyone in sweden can speak english so that will not be an issue :)

I've never been on a launched coaster, except Revolution at blackpool. (Which isn't the best launched coaster :P) As I like Thrilling coasters, exciting coasters, Fast coasters, looping coasters, would you say launched coasters are for me? And what would you rate a normal launched out of 10?
Yeah! Intamin launches tend to be on the rough side, such as Rita at Alton towers, but 2 of my favourite coasters are launches: cheetah hunt at Busch gardens and blue fire at Europa park. For an intamin launch such as stealth at Thorpe park, I would give it 7 or 8 out of 10
I'm going to gothenburg for a weekend this year, does anyone have any advice about timings and what rides to do first etc.? thanks if you do :)
+Coasterfan3657 try going first to Helix or Balder because they're the most popular and will get alot of queue time after awhile. That's my advice

Fillipki and ***** thanks very much for the advice, there is a problem though, I will get to the park at 1 as I have to fly there that morning. The park opens till 11 that day so shall I leave helix and balder till last, or put up with them having long queues and just get in a queue?
Fillipki oh no what's the longest queue I will have to wait in...?
+Coasterfan3657 I'm not sure, but when i was there in 2014 i had to wait around 30-60 minutes for these rides. But in the evening the lines are shorter and will probably be around 10-20 minutes
I believe the Castle/"Disney" ride is there for nostalgic reasons, just like many others in the park. :) Even though it's nothing special and I rarely go on it I think I would be pretty sad if they removed it.

Great Video! Being here in the US., Helix and Shambhala are my top 2 rides in Europe that's been on my wishful list to go since the announcement on both rides.
Hey Shawn, I've been considering going to Europe within the next yr. or so..taking a break riding almost 80% of the rides in the states lol. How would you rank your top 5 parks in Europe? Would like to hear your honest opinion coming from one coaster enthusiasts to another. Thanks!

Haha, that's what I hope to do soon lol. I hear Europa Park is also an amazing park as well. It has to be since it beat out Cedar point last yr at the Golden ticket and possibly this yr. as well. Is that your home park? But yeah, Wodan and Euro Mir has intrigued me the most. Blue fire also looks amazing. Hopefully, i ride that before Helix, so i don't disappoint myself if i go the other way lol.

Come to norway!! We have a coaster like Helix here in tusenfryd as the park is called! The coaster si named "Speed monster" known for having "Norwegian loop" and 100/mph And there is more coasters in tusenfryd :D

Just so you know speed monster goes 60 mph, you probably thought wrong because it does go 100 km/h
