Sawyer's reminds me a little of TJ Watt coming out. That year we took Jared Davis ahead of him because of his "explosion" numbers colossal error by our scouting department.
Jack Sawyer is a baller. He's very similar in Hutch coming out of college. Strong, athletic, high intensity, toughness, has great awareness for an edge. If he's available at #28, draft him! Him and Hutch at opposite ends for the next 4 years would be a great tandem
This Draft is pretty damn good, it's an A for me. Only thing i'd change is getting someone like Cobee Bryant in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th wherever he lands basically
It looks to me like all of these players are mock drafted out of perceived need. But Holmes has always said he picks the best player/best cultural fit available, regardless of position? Are you taking his previous comments about this into consideration relative to the choices you've made?
we need a guard, center, and tackle more than linebacker or WR. We need Glassgow's replacement. Glassgow was atrocious this year he might even be cut. We need Decker's replacement who keeps getting older and more frequently injured. And finally, we need Ragnow's replacement. Who knows how much longer Ragnow will play with his toe injury. Brad Holmes also mentioned focusing on the Oline in the draft this year. Dont be surprised if they go Oline in the first 3 rounds.
@@LukeMaterazzigoing o line in the first 3 rounds isnt really realistic, in the first two rounds I want an edge and an interior o lineman, I’m also under the assumption mahogany will be a future starter btw
@Errickantonio Decker at least was on an OSU team that beat Michigan, he got his Golden Pants. But, unless I'm wrong, Decker also didn't throw a fit like Sawyer did when Michigan beat them.
Bro we know, we all love Michigan, but Jack is a beast! Imagine him and Hutch on opposite sides, once rivals, now brothers! Both of them challenging each other to who ever gets the QB first! That would be an epic story imo
Think 🤔 about it The Lions had 10 or more Defensive Player injured, without good backups. The Lions need speedy Defensive Players for the mobile Quarterbacks. Defense wins championships

Don't like taking another Broderick Martin but round 2 instead of round 3. We need an interior pass rusher. Alim took off when he dropped weight and got quicker. Need to get better pass rush not space eaters
@Errickantonio I know, we traded up into the 3rd to pick him. I was comparing the players and then stating the round he had him at. This makes it a worse pick.
@@tonymartinez4093Yeah, I’m also not a fan of wasted picks but, in all fairness we haven’t seen him yet. I think this year will have to be a make or break. It took Barnes a few years, same for Iffy and Onwuzurike.
I feel like Mike Green from Marshall along with 1 or 2 more DEs that should be there are a better fit than Jack Sawyer. I was a Sawyer slappy for a while for the Lions even though he plays for a disgusting college south of me. I also like Landon Jackson over Sawyer. I agree though, edge first, DT tackle second over CB only because I feel like the Lions are going to address the CB in the off season. That said, what if the Lions pick up a solid DE in trade or free agency??? In that case I would try DL (maybe the kid from Ohio State - sickening I know). But....I am not hating the CB possibility like you mention. The Amos kid from Ole Miss should be there and he looks really good. I am just bummed to have them use x3 CB picks in 2 years. DE/DL pass rush makes all of our CBs now better.
I’ll rather have jimmy horn for a wide receiver he a dog as a kick returner we can make kalif Raymond wr4 bubble screens lil under routes jimmy horn on certain plays but mainly kick returner

C
F just for the first pick
Jack Sawyer no way he is not explosive enough his teammate JT on the other end dominated the playoffs and better explosion
I think he is overrated.
No player from that team would help us .theyrecsimply no good enough
Jack sawyer is such a culture fit, he would work out
David walker who we need at 60 dt at 28

If we took Sawyer and Walker I would be so freaking happy
We need 1 edge ,2 DT ,3corner , 4 linebacker , 5 safety ,6 WR ,7 ?
But we also need free agent Vita Vea. That’s the order I would pick .
Smith and Hutchinson is a good duo. I still think we need to get that elite corner.
In Free agency

Dt biggest need
I like Walker a lot. Especially under the tutelage of Kacy Rodger he could become a very scary defensive threat
Thank you for finally picking a G/C. But I think that Oline pick will come earlier.
Defensive Tackle . Right our backyard Kenneth Grant. 1st round
if he’s available then i agree
Our hometown guy Deone Walker
Derrick Harmon
we need speed rushers for running quarterbacks

@@LionsToday yup 👌
My want-a-be GM for the Lions...
1. Jihaad Campbell . LB
2. Omarr Norman-Lott . DT
3.Jayden Higgins . WR
4. Sai'vion Jones, DE,
5. Sonny Styles*, DB/OLB,
7. Jah Joyner, DE
7. Bryce Foster . C,
I liked it. I’m not sure of the exact players but the positions, certainly
I'd like the Lions to draft an offensive lineman in the top 3 picks
I love the selection of players
That Edge Rusher from Marshall # 15 is a monster too I don't know
I would draft a TEin the 7th. Our TE3 and 4 spots is pretty weak
If Jack Sawyer got drafted to a Michigan-based team, he'd probably pop a fuse 😂😂
Umm Taylor Decker…
@Errickantonio Decker at least was on an OSU team that beat Michigan, he got his Golden Pants. But, unless I'm wrong, Decker also didn't throw a fit like Sawyer did when Michigan beat them.
@@nickfifteen Sawyer definitely threw a fit!! Usually the guys let that go in the NFL though but, I understand your thought process.
Dj reader would be a good mentor for deone walkers. Similar style of dt
Very true, good point!
Wooo!
I like the safety mcmillan but i think they'll be taking someone on the Oline within the first 3 rounds
It really doesn't matter if we take D or O in round one. It just matters that we get a ball player.
I like your selection Mike.
1. Edge
2.CB
3.OL
4.LB
The nfl draft rounds 1-3 are basically a popularity contest 😂. Proofs in the pudding with the past 2-3 #1 overall picks compared to the #2
Jackie fasho he a monster and you will have in house competition between Ohio State and Michigan
I like the mock draft, but I will have a hard time with Sawyer on our team.
Y. Sawyer was my first pick! and D. Walker was 2nd pick! both will START
We need a pass rusher and not a nose tackle
We have Alim, get him a partner (younger) and he’s a big body.. well needed
We missed our window..
Good mock draft drone will drop to round 3 though
Good looking mock draft Mike I'll give you a B
No way Detroit goes for 0-4yer over Kenneth Grant if he's available at 28.

We can get a pass rusher in free agency
True but, they’re expensive.. draft well you’re solid for 4, 5 years
