  • Welcome back! In this video we show how we built the battery rack for the 68 impala! Building a clean simple battery rack costs nothing extra vs throwing something together! This battery rack was less than $100 dollars in materials. Stay tuned for the next update when we finish this install!

What size of gears you running and how did you do 72 to front and back?
Have a whammy tank from Hoppos with #11 and 9 to back, 6 batteries, 3 on each side like you. Was gonna do 36 to front and back but don’t think 36 is enough for the #11 up front. I am only doing lay and play set up. No hopping at all

i think he has 9s front and back. its easy to run 72 front and back. just run your cable from the 6th battery to each solenoid bank. so 2 cables coming off the last batery. 72 is snappy but its not enough to really tear anything up.

    Very Slick install 🙂
Lots of great ideas and Workmanship by everyone.
Bobby is a very skilled Welder and his work shows it.
Johnny is great at making all the wiring look 1st Class and hiding the bulk of the wires.
I like the tip on putting the printing and crimp on the bottom for a cleaner look.
So 72 volts is what it takes to all the Hydraulics work ?????
Do the batteries get warm ????

Good afternoon Ed! yeah it was a pretty slick tip he gave out, it actually never crossed my mind to do it that way until he showed it. It doesnt take 72v. I think it could be done with minimum 24V, but, a standard is usually 4, or 6 batteries. 48 or 72v. we could wire it to 36v each motor and run to separate banks...still options on the table

Houston area. It's not really a business. More like friends building our cars. I've taken on side jobs in the past though
