Sony a7R III Review: 2017 "Medium Format" Camera (!) of the Year

Yes, it uses the same sensor as its predecessor, but the a7R III now has a much fuller lens line up than the a7R II did when it was announced two years ago, and with a number of operational improvements, that changes things. It changes them so much, in fact, that it no longer makes sense to use the traditional dividing line between digital full frame and digital medium format - at least in and around the 50 megapixel mark.
