I don't even tell the teachers to not erase the board when they ask us if we're done writing everything down.. today when the math teacher asked, I began saying the word no, and halfway through I realized no one else was saying no too as usual, so I just cut it off right there lmao.. even though I'm sure that brought upon me way more attention than what I would've gotten if I just told them not to erase it..
Reasons I regret being shy in high school: -I don’t have anyone’s number since I am too nervous about talking to ppl in group chats -Avoiding dates from girls cuz of my fear -nobody knows when I need help -everyone would rather pick someone over me because they socialize more -I feel lonely because everyone assumes I want to be by myself all the time

Okay I’m shy because of my social anxiety 😥 and I had a PowerPoint presentation in front of my new class for the first time…sooo yeah I can relate so much
I relate but instead of smiling awkwardly i have managed to teach myself to avoid social expression when talking with people I'm not close too or people i just don't know. I am the walking 😐 emoji when talking to people lmao

I'm really shy and I don't talk much in class that some of my classmates think I'm mute, but luckily most of my teachers are understanding and good, they help me boost my confidence too
I can relate so here's a story nobody asked for: I'm really shy around people and I really struggle with socializing so I'm quiet most of the time. I know there's nothing wrong with this BUT here's the thing: There is THIS ONE PROFESSOR that borrows my pens and doesn't give them back and I'm too shy to ask him. He has taken three so far😭
I'm gonna be honest, I've been pretty shy with stuff like that in the past, but if people take my stuff I'll call them out on it. I believe the last time I struggled with situations like that was back in 2017, now my shyness has dialed down a lot ever since. Do your best to build up the courage and ask him nicely.
I grew up almost completely socially isolated and became socially anxious, shy, and asocial because of it :) I related to all of these, especially the last one 😭 but srsly parents, teach ur kids how to socialize, having social issues is so terrifying and frustrating..
I was never socially isolated and I have the most social anxiety out of everyone I know. My parents always pushed me to socialize but I never would. It’s not on parents, some people are just born that way and it’s fine
I never really ask my teacher if I didn't understand something, like, let me figure this out by myself but at the end of the day, I still didn't get it. Also, everytime I was asked to read aloud and someone said "read louder, I can't hear", I still read with the same volume as before and surprisingly they heard me. Like how? Confusion level up.
Same, my English teacher told me that I’ll be alright and that he wouldn’t ask me again if I read a short paragraph and the kid behind me said “Where do I read from? I couldn’t hear her so idk where to start!” And I got really nervous and looked at the teacher, he said “No no it’s alright, you did perfectly fine,” and smiled. I felt a bit better but I couldn’t say anything for the rest of the lesson due to embarrassment…
The hungry me when my bestie's parents are home: "Aren't you hungry? It's almost like one o clock..." "No, why are you? You can go and eat if you want to." "nonononooo just asking..." *dies in hunger* But when her parents are not home: "I'M STARVIIIING! Do you have something to eat?" "You know where's the kitchen." "Okay! :]" *accedantly eats EVERYTHING in the fridge* "Whoopsie."
i'm so shy that everytime I walk inside my class in the morning, I'm afraid of saying "hi" because I don't want to interrupt anyone's talk. but later I feel bad because I'm afraid of looking unfriendly-
"when you tell your friend that you're hungry and they tell their mom you're hungry" it doesn't even help that i'm picky and there are only certain things I'll eat.
I remained mostly quiet in my classes however one day other kids were talking over the teacher so I yelled " BE QUIET AND PAY ATTENTION!!!" And caught everyone off guard
I seen a kid cry infront of the classroom when he had to give a presentation. It was crazy. i use to be shy, but you grow out of it when you been through the ringer of life. You become a bad ass adult so nothing to be worried about. Stay up shy people speak up, stand up for what you believe in, and you will all be ok.
I cry every time there’s a presentation🤠 It really sucks cause then my partner has to do it alone while I feel super bad about it and cries even more.🤷♀️
Nah I hate when I go over my friends like “I’m hungry want a snack?” So I’m like sure and then they tell their mom that IM hungry and want a snack. It pisses me off.
@@inspectorbean4331 I HONESTLY DON’T KNOW 🤣🤣 Actually it was probably the fact that my bestie was in my class, cause she really brought out the outgoing side of me to the class.....And I haven’t changed since
I'm embarrassed to bring headset, sunglasses, and the jacket, my umbrella is compact and can be retracted, it easily fits in my bag, so I'm not that worried about it
i get really nervous when people say that, and, when i sit in the back of the class and when the teacher calls me to answer some math question everybody gonna be looking at me and thats when i start getting really shaking a lot and stutter a lot.
I relate to this so much I have major anxiety with speaking infront of classes and I'm very insecure. When I speak infront of the class my eyes start watering and blurring up, I shake a lot, my voice starts braking, I get sick and light-headed and almost faint. I'm in 9th grade and I've been dealing with this my whole life I can't get over it.
I had this for years and took a public speaking class to work on it (signing up was terrifying). The thing that helped me, besides just practice, was they videod me speaking. Watching the playback I realized I looked much more confident than I expected. A lot of it was in my head. I'm still not a great speaker, but am not as intimidated by it as I used to be
When I was in 6th grade my teacher wrote a math test on the board. I couldn't see it and when I told her she dragged my desk, with me still in it, to the very front of the room, right up against to the chalkboard, in a dramatic fashion. I have terrible vision and still couldn't see the math test questions on the board but was too shy and embarrassed to say anything so I just squinted as hard as I could and guessed. I got every answer wrong because I got every math problem she wrote on the board wrong 🤦
Our history teacher of the 8th grade always used to pick the shy students to read out the text and would always ask them to lead louder even though their voice is audible to everybody in the class, in an attempt to "bring them out of their comfort zone". Like its okay lady, we can all listen to them, what do you want them to do, shout or scream? 🙂

I know she is uncomfortable with the people she doesn't know well, but once acquainted she opens up like the prettiest flower really fast :D
This is so relatable and I hate public speaking, talking to someone who works at a restaurant, or ordering food cuz they always ask me to speak louder (ノ`Д´)ノ彡┻━┻
Edit: Tysm everyone for all the like ☺️ hope you have a wonderful day
I hate when people ask me to speak louder
One time I was at school we were doing work in a group and the teacher asked me to read one of the papers to my group and to her so I read it and she asked “can you speak louder” I stayed quiet for like 7 seconds and said for the other person in my group to read it I just can’t
@@teddybearcupcake6616 bro you got enough courage to ask the other person to read it while the teacher was watching you? 😂

They’re like “what? Huh? I can’t hear you, speak louder”
Istg I will literally feel like I’m yelling but apparently I’m talking in a normal voice ; - ;
*everyone always talks about how quiet I talk, everyone… it’s annoying*

My social anxiety hits with anything. Once I get to know someone, I talk and talk and talk- I can't even order my own food because I don't know the person that is ordering for us. My mom and dad, as well as my little brother have to do it for me. If I'm alone, or with my friends, I will actually talk to someone. My dad actually put me in counseling for it. I went to one a long time ago, and I'm in another one now
If you can try exposer therapy and (if you try it) do not forget to encourage yourself and give yourself credit for the little things. You might need to take breaks and that is ok too.

Reasons I regret being shy in high school:
-I don’t have anyone’s number since I am too nervous about talking to ppl in group chats
-Avoiding dates from girls cuz of my fear
-nobody knows when I need help
-everyone would rather pick someone over me because they socialize more
-I feel lonely because everyone assumes I want to be by myself all the time
The by myself one is just like my life, I also don't have much friends.
