      Really great idea, to show the purchase fails, and the why they didn't work for you! There are lots of "what to buy and why they work for me" videos and yet in my opinion both are as useful!
      Happy new year and love, light and spoons to all!

    It's a bit pricey compared to most steam cleaner mops, but I was struggling so much with my all tiled floors and regular steam mops felt like they weren't * scrubbing * enough and that I had to put in so much effort to push them around... EXHAUSTING - I got a Shark "Steam & Scrub" that has rotating cleaning pads on the bottom (be careful around any wires or anything that could get caught in the rotation... eek! 😅) and because of the rotation, it almost travels around by itself too so I don't feel like I have to put in quite as much effort to move it around. Has an 8m power cord, longer than most I think. (Mentioning just in case it's useful to anyone)

    The channel for the recipe for sanitizer, shiner cleaner is Midwest Magic Cleaner! He is an absolute genius & cleans and declutters homes for people with and without hoarding problems. He is sweet, funny and is Autistic! Also I used the hair fibers you sprinkle on the balding spots of your head. I tried Toppik but found a cheaper brand that worked as well. Unfortunately when my hair turned white I haven’t had success with any looking natural on my balding scalp.

    I feel like I've wasted my money on so many things...weighted blanket, special pillows, all kinds of supplements. Not so much household things, because I'm not the one doing the cleaning, haha. David is always telling me to buy this, that, and the other because he thinks it will make my life easier but I'm tired of throwing money away. Some items are great but some are just a money grab.

    I love my neck pillow from Cabeau. It’s quite high and I can wear it lose or tight around my neck and it’s made from some type of memory foam. It’s a bit hard but still shapes itself around neck and jaw. Perfect for car and train rides and for those days my head feels too heavy.

    I have been using a recipe for sterilizer, shiner, cleaner that was made up by Midwest Cleaners or I will look up his youtube channel to be sure so he gets credit for his brilliant ideas and videos! It is 2/3 alcohol, 1/3 water and 2 or 3 drops of Dawn Dish Detergent. Works great and you can leave it on surfaces long enough to really sanitize!

    I have one more for you. You may like a salt crystal deodorant! They last forever and you just wet it before using. I used them for years! Also I use baking soda for nearly everything now: brushing teeth, washing my hair, deodorant, foot powder, and its an excellent antacid! I drink at least a glass a day with a heaping teaspoon. Also if I feel I am going to vomit if I can drink it quickly it protects my throat from burning!i usually drink it after I am sick to sooth my throat.

    I hate dry shampoo. It makes my hair super itchy and smells so strong. I actually heard that certain brands of dry shampoos are getting sued because they have very harmful chemicals in them. Just spraying the shampoo and it being in the air is bad.
    I don’t know if it would work, but have you ever tried using makeup to cover up your bald spots? I haven’t done it myself, but I’ve seen people do it online. I don’t know if it comes off on your hands or not, it’s just something I’ve seen before. 😂I can’t handle anything that’s scented. Cleaning products make me sick. I try to buy natural products as much as I can, especially hygiene products.
    I enjoyed the video.❤

    • @GeorginasJourney
      @GeorginasJourney  6 місяців тому

      Hi Ruby! I don’t really use dry shampoo unless I go out, so it’s not a big concern of mine thankfully 😊 I actually have tried the make up & found it was quite bad for transference too! But I also get sick from a lot of things due to MCAS so I may just be scratching my head from it more than others would haha
      Glad you’ve found some good alternatives for products that are better for you 😊😊

    Things that didn’t work for me -
    Loop earplugs and ear defenders! Tried loads of stuff to block out noise and found them too painful. I seem to have hypersensitive ears! There is one type of foam earplug I can use for a few minutes but other than that I have to use my Bose noise cancelling headphones combined with my pillow with a hole in. I play brown noise if I have to cut out a lot of noise.
    And a kitchen chair! I really wanted a kitchen chair as I can’t stand or walk much but also cannot fit my wheelchair in the kitchen. I bought one that looked perfect but my kitchen is just too small to use it in. So I haven’t found any way to make my kitchen more accessible to me.

    • @GeorginasJourney
      @GeorginasJourney  6 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for sharing 😊 I have the cut out pillow too 😊 my noise sensitivity is so extreme that I will withstand pretty severe pain from the measures I use, like dislocating my jaw & recently, recovering from a perforated eardrum. What brand foam earplugs do you like? I usually find them to be the worst ones of all :/ when my eardrum was perforated & I had an ear injury on the other side also, I wore AirPods Pro as they’re a loose fit & don’t change the pressure in your ear like ear plugs

    • @GeorginasJourney

      Have you tried a stool on wheels for the kitchen? & how do you get food without your wheelchair or a chair in the kitchen?

    • @lotusflower474
      @lotusflower474 6 місяців тому +1

      @@GeorginasJourney Part the problem is I would have to keep the stool with wheels in a different room, then wheel it in each time, and get off it to reach up and down as none of my flat is wheelchair accessible so it’s the wrong height to sit down. This is all too much.
      My PA/carer cooks one main meal a day. When she isn’t here I put one of her pre cooked meals in the microwave. I use big bottles of water to avoid going in for water. I eat snacks to supplement meals.

    This made me recall how I recommended to my friend, who had a pipe burst at his home, a spray against the mold which I used myself earlier last year during the home repairs, I warned him that it's super toxic, next thing I knew he had chlorine gas poison his upper airways a bit, he's fine now 🙂 Kind of wouldn't recommend🤷😁

    Look up dry shampoo and hair loss....i think its s chemical they commonly use.
    Suffering hair loss atm too....seems so many things that sre supposed to be good for hair, are just good for manufacturers profits.

    Those spider catches aren’t great on spiders but keep it as they work well on other things. Daddy long legs are really easy to catch in them. You can also catch bees and wasps as long as they aren’t going crazy and other insects.
    Unfortunately I find the glass and cardboard method the only reliable way to catch spiders. Though because I’m not particularly phobic I often leave them as its too much work.

    • @GeorginasJourney
      @GeorginasJourney  6 місяців тому +1

    What happened to the verb "to SCRATCH"? Has UA-cam censored it?😂

    • @GeorginasJourney
      @GeorginasJourney  6 місяців тому +1

      I’d imagine what happened is that I had brain fog from my illnesses & yet I still showed up & tried my best. & as a linguist, I also understood that language just requires the audience to understand the meaning, which you did, by offering that verb, which means I did in fact, convey what I wanted to say just fine 😊
