IMO as these cars age - those newer year volvo "upgrades" look really out of place. A set of stock pegasus and OEM sport seats would look so much better on that car. Just my 2c.

If you don't own one of these...be it V70, XC70, or lucky, and financially able to own an R of this Volvo version, and you like the sleeper thought process....find one, they do not disappoint, and they are NOT you moms slow Volvo wagon...This car on your video is one beautiful example of the era... I'm on SwedeSpeed. I'm not an enthusiast Volvo owner but I like to keep up on discussion of the cars and what's going on with them. I have an 02 S80T. It is a wonderful car, quick with a twin-turbo straight 6 mounted sideways. I like the p2 v70 and I also like the v70iii EUCD but this one doesn't seem as soft as the v70iii.I prefer firmer.

Flash Green and Passion Red are the best looking colors, I got and 05 V70 in Passion Red, unfortunetly not an R, only the 2.4 140hp engine, getting it stage 1 to 188hp soon though..
Wiikendz , can I ask if you had the remap? I’ve also got the same engine/spec. Was wondering if it’s made much difference?
Anyone know what needs to be done in order to mount those P3 R design wheels (Ixion I think...?) onto a P2R? I'm assuming spacers and hub-centric rings?
Been trying to figure it out aswell, the biggest problem seems to be that center bore of the wheel, which on a p2 volvo is 65.1 mm and on the p3 ones 63.4 mm meaning you would need some sort of adapter/spacer to enlarge the bore and fit it on a p2 car or physically machine the wheel to accept the larger hub. I don't think anybody makes those kind of adapters so you are left with the second option.
@@filipd40 just coming back to this, I just found adapters on Viva that would allow you to run these wheels without machining out the wheel!

I love my 2001 Heico HS7 wagon...which is a V70R. Next wagon will be a 6speed. Swedespeed and moose sticker on mine. Shout out to Hilton tuning.

It's quite easy to get 500-700 hp from stock engine and, if you want to go all in you can get up to 1100 hp from same engine and still have a reliable engine.
Vastly incorrect. Internal cylinder walls are far too thin for much over 350hp

V70r's only had the 2.5, so I'm not sure what you're on about mate
Some swap tuned up T5 engines witch is 2,3 l (more reliable). If you still want to use 2,5l (R) you have to chim the cylinder walls, and the engine is safe for 500-700 bhp

Got me a t5. Don't like the AWD haldex. Way too much maintenance. But damn hope to see this one at carlisle this year.
Too much maintenance? I'm at 90k miles on mine and have only ever changed the diff fluid once on it even tho it's guaranteed for life.
It’s beautiful wagon I also have 2007 V70R My plans for mine is completely restore it it’s in really good shape right now. But I think one day will be a collectors item since they only imported 345 I’m the second owner the original owner was from Chicago. I live in Indiana .
