In this video, Lorena and I wander the San Antonio Riverwalk and the streets of San Antonio, TX.
The Saga, a light and sound show projected onto the Cathedral of San Fernando, depicts the history of the San Antonio area, and it was spectacular.
We did many of the other San Antonio River Walk touristy stuff before heading over to the new upscale shopping and entertainment district called, "The Pearl Brewery." The entire area is amazing, but Hotel Emma is the cornerstone of this incredible project.

The San Antonio Riverwalk is a MUST DO if you visit San Antonio! Great restaurants, shops, entertainment, history and it's a nice bit of exercise as well.

Yes San Antonio Texas is a wonderful city! So glad you have shown it at night time as well as in the daytime. To the other commenters, Paul and Lorena are simply wonderful folks, down to earth and are just as nice in the videos as they are in person. I was very fortunate and blessed to have been able to meet them even for short period of time. Always be safe in your travels and I look forward to seeing more of our great country!

Now this video shows why you went through the pains of downsizing, selling your house, and packing up your lives in your RV to hit the road. Very nice picture of your exploration of a new place. I have only seen Riverwalk in day time...I wish I would have returned for the night life too. Take care.

Your nighttime video of the river walk and downtown San Antonio was amazing.. what memories from my youth.. our family grew up in SA... tell Lorena our favorite Mexican city is Guanajuato.. we do every year after Thanksgiving and stay in the city center and walk nightly the streets, shops, restaurants, bars, churches, theatres. See you soon on the road
Lorena took me to the state of Guanajuato to San Miguel de Allende...it was an amazing city! Safe travels!

Love your video's, they are much more than RV video's. They are Travel vlogs for those of use who either want to travel to the USA or live in the USA, but have not been to the South West. Great content that gives a flavour of that area/region. I live in the UK but have lived in Tampa FL. Your video's have certainly made me schedule a holiday to the Austin/San Antonio area. Thanks for sharing.

San Antonio has been on my radar for a while and I didn't know about most of the places you show here. The Saga must have been jaw dropping to watch. (Ain't technology wonderful?) Wow! The brewery seemed to go on forever. It must have been huge. You know it is funny that so many historic buildings are being transformed into breweries and here is a place where a brewery is converted into something else. You guys are quickly turning into my favorite travel channel!
San Antonio is simply spectacular! The Saga will blow you away! Everything historic here is getting turned into something! But breweries definitely seem to be at the top of the list! Ok, what do we have to do to make #1!?!?!?

I love San Antonio and the Riverwalk. And there's a cool German deli up a bit from there, near a German church, that still has a service in Deutsch. My dad's family came from Germany to the U.S. through Texas (many people don't know the state was an immigrant port as well.)
Fredericksburg, is a small town north of San Antonio that is, Germany meets Texas. I think we heard Saint Josephs church does a service in German, once a year. Thanks for sharing Jody!
great shots!!! the last time I was in San Antonio it was in the summer and it was so hot, and the bugs get to be huge (like you could cage them like pets).

enjoyed the video remind me of a lot of places I saw and didn't see but I was there for New Years in 2011 which will make me want to go back and see it again probably this winter or next depending on the finances but you did a very nice job of showing the town

What was the name of the camp site with all the deer?
It was the Thousand Trail Medina Lake RV Park. From what I heard from other people in the area, every park has deer like that.

JD, you spoiled everything...we were just about to hold out our hats! Lol! I've struggled with that because it is a ton of work, but I really don't want to do the Patreon thing or any of that. If people buy stuff through our Amazon links, that they were going to buy anyway, or click ads, that is cool, but having people come out of pocket with their own hard earned money...it's just not necessary at this time.
