This attorney may be pro bono but it seems like his client isn’t getting their money’s worth.
True ! I looked up her history and this isn't the first case involving her animals. And she works for the police department? Not good......
I've seen this attorney melt down in someone else's courtroom recently, too! He's a petulant child.
Send Mike the clip if you can, please. I would love to see it. Thanks
Is this the one who went off in Judge Simpson’s court?
@@michaelk5206oh Hell, I’d love to see someone try this with Judge Ced.
@Heathen.Deity, if it’s what I’m thinking of, it was a landlord/tenet dispute. He kept saying he wanted to make a record because he didn’t get judgement. OldSquishyGardener video from 2weeks ago, sorry don’t know how to share link.
"I can't proceed"
😂
He sound like the type of guy that threatens people with law suits if he doesn't get his way, "I'm a Lawyer I'll Sue you."
Can you imagine his lip at traffic stops?
Oh, you know he’s said that more than a handful of times in his 18 years of practicing law 🙄 dude needs more practice, and some anger management /therapy
How did he make it through 18 years as a lawyer and not be able to handle this?
Doing case pro-bono. He might be use to doing more paper filing based law.
Many attorneys practice without ever going to trial. This fool may be one if them. Time for a rule if evidence refresher.
He has practiced for oooooo....18 years... I practiced in 36th District Ct for 40 years...I never saw an attorney this bad.
The judge should just tell this clown to start writing checks for contempt.
Is there a contempt subscription this lawyer can sign up for? Or an escrow acct he can pay into for when (not if) he needs it? 😂
Attorney Hill needed to hear the word 'No' more often when he was growing up
@Peter : AMEN 👏 he wore his Mom down u tol she gave in, thus enabling his bratty, selfish behavior
This attorneys' level of anxiety makes me crave a Xanax!!!
Sounds like he’s late for his morning whisky! Or at least that’s how he’s acting….😬
@@AlaFrigginBamadefinitely one of his meds not working or working too well
I would love to see Attorney Hill trying this with Judge Bryant! He would be held in contempt immediately.
Judge Boyd for sure.
Lol no need to do that with judge byrant. She is amazing.
Bryant, Boyd or Steven's.
Basically, the first lawyer opened the door, and she was allowed to step through. It reminds me of the case of the guy who drove through the parade. They weren’t gonna mention the guy being a child molester but when he opened the door, the prosecutor was fully justified in stepping through the door in speaking about it later.
And boy did he. The prosecutor not only stepped thru the door he literally kicked that child molester situation door completely down. It was a mic dropping moment. 😮
Good ole’ Darrell Brooks and his attorney, NOT Darrell Brooks. Legend has it that he was such a bad lawyer, he got both himself and his client a life sentence.
Though I agree that there are yes or no answers to questions, there are questions that absolutely cannot be answered yes or no. Example: "Yes or no, do you enjoy beating your spouse?". For a person that never was abusive, it cannot be yes or no.
This is the third time I seen this attorney doing something like this. If he keeps this up, I would think he would lose his license.
Yes, it seems almost like he learned "law" from watching tv. He is incompetent
Same defendant
All attorneys operate in a fiction
He’s a jerk with a big head.
probably injected... there is something crazy going down with the injected people.
So he's openly admitting to the court and fortunately enough us, that he doesn't know how to rephrase a question.. What a monumental bellend. 🤡
He was right in regards to what his underlying issue was. In the full video, he asks questions of the witness which only need a yes / no / i dont know answer, and the guy goes on for minutes talking abut completely tangental topics, with the judge letting him go. Bruh, he asked if this was a copy of the letter you stuck on her door, not what your inner monolog was when your spouse asked you to write a letter to her employer.
If the witness went on and on he could have objected and’s asked the judge to tell the witness to answer the question.
Mike you're awesome. I watched this through already on another channel. As annoying and out of line the defense attny obviously is I still found myself thinking what is the legal answer. When this attorney says something he acts like the judge doesn't know his job and he just can't believe his rulings and also schools the judge like he's improper. All this to say that I needed all the legal answers you provided here to decide he's a bigger D than I thought an attorney could be without being held in contempt. Anyway, thanks for your legal expertise!
To your point, the attorney seems like a complete control freak. Is it because if anything goes another way it just completely throws him off of his game. Something seems wrong with this man!
@@sharisscrappyshares He could be somewhere on the autism spectrum but unlike Extraordinary Attorney Woo he lacks the skills?
Apart from the rights or wrongs he was very disrespectful 😮 cringe
This lawyer has been argumentative in more than one video. He gets frustrated in court when things don't follow his plan. He's not good at thinking on his feet.
Oooooo do tell. Is there a playlist for LTWM?
He won't be a lawyer much longer if he keeps backtalking judges like this.
This isn’t the lawyer that didn’t show up for his client and his client expected to be let out and ended up serving 3 months?
Please send more videos so we see
Yeh, like the court is going to go against the law to keep him happy!
It's a wonder he didn't get slapped with a contempt charge, and I think he came within a hair's breadth of being charged with contempt. He needs to be brought under judicial review (or whatever it's called) to see if he should be disbarred for being so argumentative.
Are you being held hostage? Undisclosed? Or just none of our business 😂❤
Yikes. Give the lawyer a bottle and a burping. He's cranky as a baby.
Oh, he's also gonna need his binky & his blankie, for sure lol 😂😂
@@ashleyw6160 He's thrown them out of his sleepy crib for the tenth time, though.
Hahaha
This lawyer looks familiar. If my memory serves me right, he was arguing with the judge when he didn't get his way. He may deserve his own list.
That is one of the things that drives me nuts when a judge allows yes/no. I would absolutely refuse to answer if the truthful answer isn't yes/no. The whole truth may not always be yes/no.
Attorney Hill is behaving like a petulant child. You're in the Judge's house and the judge has told you and explained his rules.
You would think the lawyer would have done research on how This judge runs his courtroom
Or passed elementary school so he'd know how to rephrase a question. It's not rocket science.
@@Gr_ywind
I don’t know why you’ve written multiple comments stating that he needs to rephrase his questions. He merely heeds to ask the same questions he had planned, but simply allow the responder to answer however they want to, and the judge will cut the witness off if he goes off on a unrelated tangent.
Non lawyers even know you don’t argue with the judge in your case.
I can’t believe he’s sitting there arguing with the judge back and forth like a child. 😅
This lawyer does not know when to accept his losses and move on. I have rarely seen a lawyer argue to this extent.
Except he won…?
He actually won the trial if you watch the whole video
@@claymiller2812what's that have to do with anything? I'm an RN. If I'm putting in an IV and I have to stab my patient 32x to get the IV and all my coworkers hate me, does the "win" of getting the IV matter?
I'm SHOCKED that this guy thinks he has the right to do this.
Judge Middleton just came back from his short vacation! His short morning session was just laid back, defendant didn't show up, so it was relatively easy peasy.🙂
you know Mike is dedicated when he still uploads a video while being held hostage in an undisclosed location
I have wondered for years how a lawyer/judge can force a witness to not follow their oath to give the "whole truth".
Darn, it's before 9AM on a Monday morning, and I have learned stuff. Thank Mike 😊
Hugs the pups from us.
Totally accidentally !lol
wonder what profession he’ll pursue after a few more rounds of this behavior …
seen him throw a tantrum before 😮
He’ll become a Sovereign Citizen
@@sassyfootnote 🤣🤣🤣
I kinda feel like he has used car salesman vibes, lmao 🤣😂🤣
@@ashleyw6160 that’s very possible 😆
The judge should find him in contempt... privilege makes him think that he can behave like that towards a judge.
He's acting like he's the judge and can make the decisions of the court. He needs to stay in his lane. The judge shouldn't have to explain it over and over. Twice should be the limit, then contempt.
He has a big head and I hope he isn’t married, if he is I fear for his wife.
@@marysmith-xo7rtwhat a ridiculous comment
I love this judge. I've always hated it when lawyers demand a "yes or no" answer.
He really thinks he is going to school the judge. Dumb move.
Oh yeah! I'm glad you pulled this. I (not a lawyer) thought the lawyer was way out of line and speaking gobbledygook. I kind of Like THAT the judge restricted the lawyer from demanding YES or NO. ha ha.
😳 this is nuts! How does he still have a license when he argues with the judges!
One of the reasons I like when attorneys do these clips as crazy as it seems. I've seen before where the attorney asks for yes or no, without a problem. It's good to know it's a judges discretion on such things. Most of us barely know how to conduct ourselves in court much less when we would be being essentially bullied by an attorney.
Good morning from Calgary. I cannot believe this lawyer’s outrageous behaviour. Listen to the judge, man!
What's wild is that I understand that statements made in an opening can be addressed/refuted, then it's surreal that this attorney is this clueless. That he continues in the face of a very clear explanation goes in the record books. Mind blown. (Perhaps his colleagues will set him straight.)
This popped up on my feed, btw - and it's fascinating.
I’ve never seen an attorney do that before. He clearly has issues and it isn’t the judge or his adverse ruling. 😂
It's YOUR job as an attorney to cleverly ask a question in a way to hopefully get the response that you want!!
Homie opened the door and then didn't like what stepped through
That's what you get when a lawyer is pro bono!!!! This clip explains so much!!! Thank Mike 💕
Good law firms do a certain amount of pro bono work. I wonder if THIS guy is doing it because he CAN’T get paid work.
Law Talk With Mike is both entertaining and educational. Thank you so much for teaching an old man about our court system and how it works. Hope things are well in your undisclosed location!
7:48
Pissy attorney “Judge, you just handcuffed me”
Judge: *thinking ‘oh I’m gonna alright!’
OK now that you are handcuffed, off to jail with you for contempt!
I don't see how the attny can get a yes/no for every question. If the question was "was the car red", I could say yes, it was maroon or no, it was maroon. My answer, which would be truthful to me, would be wrong to the attny. In the end, if you want to be an attny, you can't argue with the judge all the time.
Attorney Hill is dealing with issues. Maybe he's burnt out or is just frustrated with the rulings. I don't know. But he really needs to take some time off or even think about retiring from practicing law.
Sounds like that lawyer's key arguments rested on weasely yes and no questions
I am FLABBERGASTED that he was allowed to speak to a judge that way! Completely disrespectful and unprofessional.
Not arguably, he’s clearly in contempt
I find It hard to imagine this lawyer ever winning a case.
Why doesnt this employee of the police department do something crazy like PAY HER TICKETS!🤨
I know. Talk about hypocrites!
Verbally headbutting the judge is always a winner 😂😂😂🤪🤣🤣🤣🙈🍺🍺🍺
I am happy to agree that, in saying that he can't proceed, Mr. Hill committed malpractice.
He should’ve been held in contempt of court. He’s so disrespectful towards the judge. 😡
This guy would make a great sovcit guru.
The attorney realistically has only been doing this for four minutes and 59 seconds.
It took him 18 years to pass the bar exam.
Wonder what it's like to meet this attorney on the street?
ATTY :"How are you today? Yes or no?"
"But I can't answer the question like that"
ATTY :"Oh, you're HANDCUFFING me here!!"
In my 21 years of practice, I can’t believe what I just saw.
Let’s hold him in contempt and see if he straightens up and flys right. My mom said that all the time. God rest her soul
How HARD is it to JUST not end the question with> “… YES OR NO”?!? I would NOT want this lawyer to represent me. * not that I would need an attorney, just saying. 😂 ✌️💙 12:31
The lawyer has been watching too many Hollywood TV and Film court scenes. They always require a simple "yes" or "no" in courtroom dramas, unless they are dealing with a hostile witness. He doesn't realize that Hollywood doesn't determine courtroom procedures -- the judge does.
Or hearings on Capitol Hill. Both sides use the yes or no bit.
Sigh...I learned something.
I learned this attorney is a large toddler who throws a tantrum when he doesn't get to have his way. 😂
LAW NERDS: ASSEMBLE 😎🤓😎
I hear that a lot, "That's a yes or no answer" they will not let them say anything else.
This lawyer is acting like a child!!! Your a lawyer!!! Respect the judge.... Give respect to get it... He is unbelievable!!!!😮
Good afternoon from the UK 😊🇬🇧.
This reminds me of my 12yr old Grandson after being told whats what by his Mum but still won't have it & argues regardless.😂
I was thinking closer to a 5 YO 😂
Also judges "handcuff" lawyers constantly
Attorney opening statements are binding on their own client. It’s not testimony but is still binding.
Wow. That attorney is so unprofessional.
Does he think that being told not to tack "yes or no" onto the end of his question fundamentally changes things?
Question of the day is whether Mike is wearing a tether?
What do you think his "Cuban wife" is? 😂😂😂
This makes me think that one of the characteristics a good attorney needs is the ability to roll with the punches and pivot their argument on a dime.
He’s acting like an imaginary first term law student, who thinks he knows better than everyone else.
Crazy… all he’d have to do is ask the exact same question but without the “yes or no” at the end 🙄
To simplify : Lawyers don’t get to lie in opening or closing statements. Mr. Hill’s argument hinges upon him proudly being unethical.
I have been eagerly awaiting your take on this one. So much so I put myself through listening to this attorney throw a hissy fit again.
Some can't be simply YES< or NO. Tick the judge off, while you look like a fool, and you are punishing your client with this unprofessional behavior.
That attorney is so incredibly childish. It amazes me he has been in practice for so many years.🙄
He seems to do this in every case. At the end of the day though he got 2 of the charges dropped.
I've never seen it asked that way. It's always the way Mike said it.
I like how you explained the proceedings
I have a feeling someone saw how argumentative he was and sarcastically said "you should be a lawyer" and he went with it.
In the beginning, the way his stache and beard are cut gives him a major "boo boo kitty" face 😂😂😂
I hope the snickering is part of the act.
I've been burnt by lawyers in a bad divorce.
Thank goodness my 4 children are adults now and doing well.
That was really great. When I saw the judge I was expecting a SovCitiot, but a lawyer with the demeanor of one works.
If that was my lawyer, I would interject the conversation and request that this be adjourned because I demand another attorney. Id say my opportunity for a fair hearing is being squandered.
I think Mike's imaginary Cuban wife may be getting tired with him jumping around to all these undisclosed locations. LMAO
"Completely by accident, you may learn something" Thank you.
She needs an attorney who won't keep pissing off the judge instead of saying "yes sir"
So.... what was going on is the defense attorney felt he could just say anything he wanted as long as he did it in opening?? Seems that would be a crazy free for all.
Mike, I love your insight and take on things. Thanks for doing these for us! You are without doubt the best!!
The angry lawyer is the only reasonable person in the room.
This was a great post Mike & your comments were your usual sensational.
You really were absolutely great today & it's no wonder we all respect & admire you as much as we do.
I get the feeling this is how Rekieta behaves in court lol
I was coming here to say that I was sure I've seen this attorney have similar tantrums before, but the comment section has confirmed this 🤦♀️
Making the Holiday Inn Express look like a Rennaissance when you walk in ;)
So glad you covered this one! When I saw it on Megs Crime Watch, I was completely thinking “hmm I wonder what Mike would say about this guy, is he right even though out of line?!”
We're dying to know this "undisclosed location"! If it's Vegas I'll be disappointed we didn't get to meet up for drinks 😂
Closure? We need closure on this hearing.
Thank you for doing this one! I saw it on another channel and said LTWM needs to see this one. And I found out I was wrong.
