I recently saw a video with your husband about “fading”. Comments had been stopped but I wanted to say that I hope his friends see it and have a re things and a bit of a conscience check. Feeling awkward is not an excuse for not calling or visiting. Clearly he feels the loss of contact with them, I hope things improve and that they step up a little bit. Great that he wants to make videos that reach out to help others.
Yes! I felt heartbroken for him. At a time when you need your friends the most. Praying they see that they are needed and wanted and that they are wrong for not calling it going to visit
In case anyone was wondering, wow who is that super cute baby?! It’s meeeeee ❤ hehe love you mom! Something everyone should know, no matter where we have lived, you’ve ALWAYS made our houses a home.
I am so sorry that you had to experience online bullying. Glad you sought help to deal with it. It is such a shame that folks have nothing better to do than try to hurt others. Continue to be you!❤
Oh my gosh Leslie, who could bully you!? You are a living doll! Anxious to see the declutter. At 69, I get more and more minimalist. See a couple of places that I want to add symmetry! I've been following you and Jason and my husband had Parkinsons and passed away in March. I know how hard it is to witness and live with. My blessings to you, dear!
I’m with you. I started seriously decluttering when I turned 60 and now I’m 73 and I’m pretty minimalist but I still find things to get rid of all the time. Sometimes I think things just multiply in drawers and cabinets when you’re not looking, I’m not bringing new things in. It was just things I wasn’t ready to get rid of on previous declutter, so it’s an ongoing process. Some people I know would say I’m a minimalist and my house looks like no one lives here, but that’s fine. I like it. I would like to have even less. You know how some people get a high out of shopping. I get a high out of getting rid of things.
Thank you for being do transparent about your struggles. My husband has chemo brain, Parkinson’s disease and now dementia. It comforts me to hear your story and see how your coping. God bless you for how well you live out your faith.
You are such a beautiful child of God. Please do not allow these miserable people take your joy. We all love you and appreciate so much your content!! Thank you !
You are simply precious. Congrats on 33 yrs of building a beautiful life, family, furbabies, and inspirational home ideas. Well done, and thankyou for sharing, Leslie and Jason. 🎉🎉
Most 18 year olds have no money ,and decorate with what they have. We all have to start somewhere, and evolve through the years. In 1968 I saved for a little round table with 2 bistro chairs for our kitchen, that made me so happy. I put a table cloth and pitcher of flowers on it , and smiled for days! Twenty years later , it took me weeks to pull the trigger on a camel back sofa that I drooled over for months because it was $1,000.00 !!!! I would never have dreamed in 1968 I would ever own or buy something so extravagant. But I still have it and still love it. I have antique wardrobes and beds I have had for years and years. I just change up the curtains, pillow, sofas , lamps and art when it suits me. But my anchor pieces are staples.
Yes, military family, we moved painted concrete blocks and boards for years before we afforded real Barrister book cases . Now, retired military 25 years, still have barristers but getting tired of the rest. HE won't change anything
Lived that life as well, started in 73 married with no money. We had the same octagonal glass table and chairs as you, with just a love seat, trunk and side table. Now the vastness of our home is overwhelming! Decluttering as we move from our large farm to a home by the sea. 💙✌🏽
Oh my gosh....... my favorite tip of is a...........dd personal things to your home....... I'm so tired of seeing showroom interiors ...... the best part of visiting someone's home is seeing their personality shining through! Yes to family photos and heirlooms!
This is a fantastic video, but I just watched episode 33 - Fading Away, and had to comment. My heart breaks for Jason and for you. My husband is not as far along as Jason, but is experiencing the loss of friendships due to his cognitive issues, and it's incredibly difficult. I was amazed at the insight that Jason displayed. It just goes to show that regardless how our loved ones with dementia or MCI may act, they're still in there and have awareness and emotional needs. God bless you both, and thank you from the bottom of my hear for sharing! ♥
Exactly. Walking in others shoes... It's incredibly hard, sad and many other emotions. I love this couple they are helping so many come to terms with differing cognitive and life issues
There are always immature and mentally ill people around. But, I hope you realize that the majority are your online friends who appreciate your content. God bless you
Leslie. So love to declutter. I love letting my home breathe. I will not buy trends, I love something that describes who I am with things that tell stories. I love cohesiveness it bring balance. Love you sweet Leslie! Yes! I will see you again next Sunday.
I just watched the video of Jason expressing his feelings regarding his friends fading away. It’s very hard for me to comprehend that Jason has this terrible disease because he’s so proficient in speaking about his feelings. My empathy for you both is undeniable because I’ve been with you from the beginning. I understand what you’re going through, I have walked in your shoes and it’s heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers are always with you both. Jason is an unforgettable person because of his personality, strength, a wonderful husband and father and is loved more than he knows. God grant you both the blessings you deserve. 🙏❤️
I know comments are turned off on the other channel, but just watched Jason‘s message and it nearly broke me. As a prior caregiver to my mom, I know how people scatter at the end. It was so raw and brutally honest… Probably the most powerful message you can convey.
We've had contractors all week making our home more disability friendly for my husband who has Lewy Body with Parkinson's. What a stressful week! I am glad you have someone to talk to. Great video Leslie!
My Aunt passed last year and I've been cleaning out her house. You had the same picture hanging above your love seat that she had and she was 86 years old. I remembered it was a Home Interior piece from long ago. Brought a smile seeing it in your video.
You are always such a breath of fresh air! I love your videos and your laugh and your stories. I'm so sorry to hear about the bullies. That makes me sad and mad! Hold your chin up, Leslie. You bless this world every day. ❤
There will always be unhappy people who are jealous of another's happiness. You express happiness always in your vedios and got caught by and unhappy person who wants to hurt you. But I still STILL see your happiness!!! You did not allow for that bully to unsettle your peace!! You won😊
I agree with you on DIY’s. I would watch a video, go buy the supplies, make the diy and end up taking to a thrift shop. I think of all the money I have spent I could have bought something nice for my home. We are empty nesters. We raised 4 sons. I started cleaning out every nook and cranny of my house. Makes me feel good and so much easier to keep clean. I enjoy our Sunday visit. You’re very inspiring.
I agree with all those awesome ideas about decorating. BTW: My son is living with me, and has memory issues, and is only going to be 58 this year. He also has type 1 diabetes. Little did I ever dream of being a caregiver for a son, after being a caregiver for my husband, who had many diabetic health issues, and passed away in 2015. Your channel has helped me cope. Thank you.
Hugs to you and Jason. He was so brave to share this. I hope that there can be a way for his friends to reach out in a new way. Jason may have some limitations, but deep down, he's still Jason.
Thank you for always being so open with your life. I’m 56 and have a daughter who was born with cystic fibrosis. I felt alone for so many years. I’m also a pastors wife and still in a room full of people I felt so alone. Through the years the Lord walked with me through the darkness. I’m so grateful for people like you that share your life to help others. I’m praying for you and your family. Keep smiling that beautiful smile!
Great tips . I recently Down sized and I’m not putting everything I had in previous home I’m only bringing in what I love Congratulations on 33yrs. Anniversary
It’s so wonderful that after being bullied you were fortunate not only to get a therapist but a therapist that would also be a sponsor. Thank god you were so blessed to have something bad turn out to be a fortunate thing. That is serendipity.
I just watched your new video with Jason and I felt so badly. My mom didn’t have dementia but she had a massive stroke. She was a pianist at various Parks Departments in Los Angeles for years and had many friends that worked there. As soon as she had this massive stroke there were few to none who would call or visit her. She had brain damage and I know she was not the same in some ways but still deserved her friendships. But they couldn’t cope I guess. It’s not easy to see the one you love experience this. I always look forward to Jason’s updates and with you and Jason all the best. People have a hard time coping with the loss mentality or physically but so does that person who is being left behind. I wish people would think about that.❤
I'm taking note of this video, thank you so much, it help me to decorate minimally and purposefully Decorating aspect: Edit your home regularly Diy's aren't always best Have colour palette Have contrast Appropriate size furniture Focal point Declutter often Aesthetic meet functions Personal touch Symmetry Everything need place
Congrats on 33 yrs ! We celebrated 52 May 6th . In those years I’ve gone from 70’s styles to vintage and now trying to update. I took your advice and uncluttered. I had many family photos mostly my grandchildren when they were babies. No one ever saw them except us. So I put them up and it is so relieving to have a nice dresser without clutter . Now if I could get my sons collections out of my living room 😂. We don’t use the living room and we have two front doors so no one enters that way . Your hints and ideas have helped me update so easily. Thank you ! Much love and prayers to you and Jason ❤❤🙏🙏
I love all your tips, I have learned so much about the simple details that can make a space POP! I have a very small, less than 1000 sq. ft, two bedroom, one bath home, and because of your videos, I am learning how to maximize my space without cluttering the view. Your delivery is so great and I love your positivity! Thanks, and God bless you and your family!
We were married 53 years and I remember our first apartment. We were given a blonde TV set, and I covered it with “brown wooden look” contact paper!! It looked good and served our needs for several months. I hope your declutterring will motivate me. It’s one of the things I absolutely hate doing!!
Excellent guidelines! I remember the military life and decorating our first base housing as young newlyweds! Thank goodness for PCS sales and family hand me downs and remembering our excitement when we went from a mosh mash of living room furniture to a matchy matchy living room set- it was like we were adulting like our parents! That was 41 years ago and like you, I have refined my tastes, stick with the same color palette of blues, greens and creams but not matchy- we even went out of comfort zone a week ago and bought a cream leather sectional and boy, I was scared to do it, but now, I just love it so far and my throw blankets and pillows still fit right in because cream was always part of the pattern in the blankets and pillows along with blues and greens and touches of terracotta and the sectional actually blends in with our style when it comes to what we already have.
No bullying here. I'm amazed at all you accomplish with all you have on your plate. Tell Jason I would call him every day but would probably irritate him! Love to both of you! Take care of yourself and him as well!
Congratulations on 33 years of marriage. Im married 53 years. I did trends in my early life, yes the burgundy, brown, primative blah blah blah. And i learned thru all of this that they were not colors that made me happy. So i decided to do things that made me love my home, and it especially did not look like someone elses home. It was my home!. Now I'm very happy with my home. The lemon trend this year was not my thing. But it didn't mean that someone that loved lemon decorating shouldn't do it. I agree that everyone has to find their nitch and be happy. I love watching other people decorate, its fun. But you are 100% correct, do what you like. God Bless and see ya later.
I watched you in the beginning. Always enjoyed you, but you're even better now. No one should bully you. You're an; Angel and I'm looking forward to the declutter video
Hugs to you and Jason. My dad was social and then had a stroke. Very difficult to watch as very few visited over the years. And I understood why when someone cant respond and talk freely, difficult for everyone. Heart goes out to you both.
Ooh…Leslie, SYMMETRY is absolutely….me!!! I have….to have that balance!!! I do NEUTRAL DECOR as well!!! Again… that is me!!! I LOVE… your channel!!! You’re a BREATH of FRESH AIR!!!🥰😁 Thank you for sharing your suggestions!!!🤍🤍🤍🤍
Bullying is so cruel. I don’t understand why people feel compelled to be mean. I am so sorry you have had that experience. Please know many of us out here truly enjoy you. You’re always so kind. Keep being you.
Congratulations on 33 years of Marriage! Loved your ideas. This made me reflect back on all of my decorating styles through the years. Currently, I'm more traditional in my furnishings, with a touch or two or three of weirdness. I collect heads. Mainly ceramic heads. I probably have about a dozen. I rotate those in my house. It is always a good ice breaker for people to check out my heads. I also have the bottom half of a mannequin , in my entrance hallway. I love things like that.
Leslie, I’m sending you love and support from England. You’re amazing and Jason’s videos have been inspiring. I’m taking care of my dad who has dementia. I totally understand where you’re coming from. Maybe take a break from Jason’s videos? You need to put you and Jason and your family first. I thank you for all you’ve done to educate people but don’t let the haters bring you down. You’re amazing!! Love to you all 🎉
👋🏻 Leslie loyal decor follower here from Maine… We are celebrating 40 years of marriage Saturday. I am retired but love decor so….. much that I volunteer at a local mother/daughter home decor shop and work at Marshall’s for 10 hours a week Sept. through mid December. P.S. I also follow you for your upbeat, can do attitude and Jason’s antics. My best to you both.
Leslie, my heart is breaking for you and J. You are both loved and I so wish your other journey was easier. As always, though, love your Charming Abode.
Happy anniversary to you and Jason 💖🤍💖👏👏 What kind of person could bully YOU?!? You are the sweetest person on line! Ignore them. We love you! 🩵🤍🩵 Sending love and prayers. 🌷🌸💖
Leslie congratulations to you and Jason cheers 🥂to the happy 33 years and to many more years of happiness together! May your love ❤️ continue to grow stronger each year. Thanks for sharing all these home ideas 😊
I can totally see you doing “design fixes” on your channel. What I mean by this is you can have your subscribers send you pictures of their spaces, say a living room, & you can photoshop it, or edit it, etc, & show them how you would design the space &/or decorate it. I love channels that do this (Lone Fox, for example). Anyway, great tips, as always, Leslie & happy anniversary to you & Jason! Sending you both much love & light. ❤✨💫
So sorry for the bullying. I can't understand why as you're such a sweet lady. I love your channel! Its always bring us fun and neat ideas. Thanks for sharing the cute photos with this video. Excited tomorrow is Sunday...yay, another video from you!🥰
I always appreciate all your advice and tips. I just wish I had a bigger bank account! We still have the same 2nd hand brown sectional given to us by friends...yrs ago. I’d give my right leg to get rid of it... but I can’t. I’m thinking adding different pillow covers to replace the ones I have, but can’t do that either. So I do what I can. You always bring new and fresh ideas to the table and I so appreciate it! I’m so sorry you got bullied...people seem to forget that on the other end of their keyboard is a person with a heart and feelings. Sad. A friend of mine just went through that and it was so hurtful. Know you as well as Jason...have a tribe out here that love ya and appreciate you! Bless you sweet lady! 💖🇺🇸🌴
My first home was in 1974… we used haddock blocks to hold up wood planks for book shelves😆 Antique wood crates were our end tables. I loved our little cottage! Consistently editing is key. I lived in a 27 foot travel trailer for four years. We built a house from the ground up on our 5 1/2 acre property after moving into our almost 3000 square-foot house. I went through a bit of a depression. All that space and use of materials made me feel a bit ashamed. I got over it. When I sold that home, I had a team of realtors tell me it’s the first home they ever went into and said it needs absolutely nothing, it’s perfect! It was the years of living in a trailer that taught me the blessing, less is more. can’t wait to see your editing video. We lost both of our mothers and my stepdad in 2 1/2 years. I now struggle with getting rid of sentimental items.😔
I just found you and I think you are adorable. Oh my I have walked your walk as well. We started in an Airstream camper at 18 in the deep South with no AC!!!!!, so I get it...... I am now 70, married for 52 years and WOW has it been a decorating journey. Keep up the great work and here's to many more years of happiness.
When I first got married my living room had two bright red orangey colored daybeds in it for couches and I loved our first little cottage by the beach!
Congratulations! I decorate for every season and it helps me deep clean. I love keeping everything fresh. We have been married 44 years this year. We were broke too. I remember buying our first oak dining table and we couldn’t afford the chairs so used folding chairs. Love your videos.
Leslie, I understand why you turned off comments on you other channel, people are rude and may I add, STUPID, I hope it’s ok I’m contacting you on this channel. I’ve been following you both on both of your Channels for sometime now. I just watched Jason video about his friends. This video nearly broke my heart, in fact it brought me to tears. Thank you for posting this video. I have a best friend struggling with Parkinson’s disease it has been so hard to watch someone you love and have been friends with since birth change. As for Jasons a friends, you were right on when you asked him if he thinks they just don’t want to make him feel uncomfortable or that they are bothering him. I have fallen into that trap, too. You say to yourself “She/he is not feeling good so I don’t want to bother her/him”, “she/he won’t want visit because it’s hard for her/him”, please thank Jason from me, for reminding me that my friend needs me more now than she ever did. Jason is such a blessing to this world and I hope he never forgets that. As for you Leslie, you are the best wife, friend and caregiver, ever. Jason is so lucky to have you. Hang in there I know it’s tough, sending 🤗 to both of you. Debbie G
Oh my goodness Leslie, this video made me smile! We share the exact wedding anniversary. I think back to our first home and cringe at my decorating style. I had baby blue and rose pink colours galore. Our home was an explosion of country crafts with coordinating borders in every room-yes I had geese accents. I too have changed design tastes over the years but still can’t quite kick the crafting habit. 😊
I can’t imagine why anyone would want to bully you. I know you won’t, but I wish you would tell me who they are. They deserve the shame that they’ve earned. I’ll bet there are people in their lives and in the towns they live in that know exactly who they are and what they’re like and know that they’re nasty all the time. Those people waste their entire lifetime acting ugly, so pointless. You’re adorable, you’ve given me friendship, so much advice, and a place that feels like home when I’m feeling lonely. Thank you for going through everything you have to go through just to be here for us. ❤
great video - when you do the declutter video, please share your tips on how to part or store your sentimental items from your kids, your childhood etc. I am having a very hard time with that. every thing I hold that is sentimental sparks joy lol
Hahaha. We are about the same age. That first table that you bought (@ 2:10 in the video) we had the same one when we were just married. It was so special to us as our first table together. LOL

Yes! I felt heartbroken for him. At a time when you need your friends the most. Praying they see that they are needed and wanted and that they are wrong for not calling it going to visit
I agree, picking a main color and coordinating colors that you love (not because its trending)
In case anyone was wondering, wow who is that super cute baby?! It’s meeeeee ❤ hehe love you mom! Something everyone should know, no matter where we have lived, you’ve ALWAYS made our houses a home.
Awww thank you😘 Love you so much! ❤️
@ItsKelsiesLife.....I can only imagine what a terrific Mom she is. Us viewers see a beautiful, immensely caring lady.
🥰😍
Practical and professional advice. Thank you for the positive and honest tips - wow factor!
Congratulations ❤ on 33 years of marriage! Wonderful 🎉
I am so sorry that you had to experience online bullying. Glad you sought help to deal with it. It is such a shame that folks have nothing better to do than try to hurt others. Continue to be you!❤
There’s no need for negativity
Leslie you are a gem and don’t let anyone tell you different
I guess their mother never taught them if you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all
You are so sweet and genuine, I can’t imagine anyone being mean. Hold your head up you are a wonderful person!
It happens to every online creator. Cowards behind the screen.
Congrats to you and Jason on 33 years of marriage.God bless you guys.😊❤🙏

"Edit your space often!" This is the perfect first tip. 👌
I like the word edit much better than change. It implies making little frequent tweaks rather than "do a major remodel."
Thank You for sharing. Don’t let those bullies win an ounce of your enthusiasm. I enjoy every minute of your videos.
How in the world could someone be mean to you?!!! You are the sweetest!
Your life can't be easy right now, but your positive attitude is an inspiration. Praying for you.
You are such a beautiful child of God. Please do not allow these miserable people take your joy. We all love you and appreciate so much your content!! Thank you !
Congrats🎉 on 33 yrs!! Thats a feat these days. We are on 36 yrs and still love him so much!!

People who are cruel have no place in my life, I will not give them the time of day. Good video!
Just watched Jason's fade away video....just wanted to hug him and you ❤prayers

As soon as she had this massive stroke there were few to none who would call or visit her. She had brain damage and I know she was not the same in some ways but still deserved her friendships. But they couldn’t cope I guess. It’s not easy to see the one you love experience this.
I always look forward to Jason’s updates and with you and Jason all the best.
People have a hard time coping with the loss mentality or physically but so does that person who is being left behind. I wish people would think about that.❤
I'm taking note of this video, thank you so much, it help me to decorate minimally and purposefully
Decorating aspect:
Edit your home regularly
Diy's aren't always best
Have colour palette
Have contrast
Appropriate size furniture
Focal point
Declutter often
Aesthetic meet functions
Personal touch
Symmetry
Everything need place
Who would bully you or be mean to you on here? You are clearly a lovely lady and seem like a sweetheart. I think whoever did that is jealous of you.
Thankyou Leslie, great advice. Congratulations on 33 years. Loved the old photos.
Great recap and good to be reminded of some really helpful principles. Thank you.
You are a joy and a blessing. I love your videos. You and Jason inspire me. God bless.
Great tips, especially regularly editing. Congratulations on 33 years!!
I lived in those same townhouses at Loring AFB! My decorating style back then was hysterical. Tigers and Lions on the wall! But we loved it back then.
Cancel the uglys❤❤❤❤❤❤❤we love you guys to the moon and back
Lesley, I always love your videos, but this is truly one of my favorites! Thank you!
Thank you so much 😊
We were married 53 years and I remember our first apartment.
Thank you, Leslie. Great tips and advice! Congratulations on 33 yrs! ❤. And I’m so sorry you’ve been bullied. You are AMAZING!! 💕
I can’t wait for you to declutter your house. I’m going to declutter along with you❤
Happy Anniversary to you two love birds!! ❤❤❤
No bullying here. I'm amazed at all you accomplish with all you have on your plate. Tell Jason I would call him every day but would probably irritate him! Love to both of you! Take care of yourself and him as well!
You really knocked it out of the park with this one! Love your videos. Thank you.
Thanks so much! 😊
Happy 33rd wedding anniversary ❤🙏🏻❤
Congratulations on 33 years together. You a excellent home decorator. Always look forward to your posts.
Sue Wolfe- I simply love your idea of using a vase or some type of vessel, to hold tissues. What a great idea!! Even my husband likes it!
You’re a BREATH of FRESH AIR!!!🥰😁
Thank you for sharing your suggestions!!!🤍🤍🤍🤍
Happy 40th!! That’s awesome! 🎉❤️
Congratulations! 🎉❤
Leslie, my heart is breaking for you and J. You are both loved and I so wish your other journey was easier. As always, though, love your Charming Abode.
Love you and Jason…looking forward to the decluttering episode!
Thank you for these tips. And I’m sorry you experienced cyber bullying. I’m glad you had support with better health.
So sorry for the bullying. I can't understand why as you're such a sweet lady. I love your channel! Its always bring us fun and neat ideas. Thanks for sharing the cute photos with this video. Excited tomorrow is Sunday...yay, another video from you!🥰
Awwww thank you so much 😊
I always appreciate all your advice and tips.
Happy Anniversary Leslie and Jason.❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏.
Oh my gosh Leslie. I had that same kitchen table early in my marriage! It was a pretty nice table. lol
Congrats on 33 years ❤
I just found you and I think you are adorable. Oh my I have walked your walk as well. We started in an Airstream camper at 18 in the deep South with no AC!!!!!, so I get it...... I am now 70, married for 52 years and WOW has it been a decorating journey. Keep up the great work and here's to many more years of happiness.
Thank you so much, and welcome to my channel! 💗
I can’t wait to see your declutterring. You are the best!
I love love love how you used a vase for your Kleenex box!!!
I now paint as a hobby and my art work is what I like to display for my smaller pieces. It’s not in your face, but it adds my colors.

Thanks for another great video! 🎉🎉
I enjoy your videos as if we are just sitting down having a chat . Also you are looking very wonderful. So glad to see ! 🙂
I wish I knew then, what I know now! I guess we all decorate with the money we had, so true! Beautiful baby in the photo.
Good tips, Leslie. I look forward to your decluttering video. Really need some help in that area, especially with paper clutter like bills and such.
Yay! 33 years! You are delightful.
great video - when you do the declutter video, please share your tips on how to part or store your sentimental items from your kids, your childhood etc. I am having a very hard time with that. every thing I hold that is sentimental sparks joy lol
Hahaha. We are about the same age. That first table that you bought (@ 2:10 in the video) we had the same one when we were just married. It was so special to us as our first table together. LOL
Thanks, Leslie. Great tips.
