Ima keep saying all the barrier statues should be banned. Not exclusively due to powerlevel, but for their inevitability to all be broken by some other deck, and their massively negative impact on the health of the game
Branded Chimera is pretty much already a solved deck. It’s ok generally the best thing you can do with Branded Fusion is make Dragoon to insulate your illusion plays or make Rindbrumm to start them.

I am hoping that Nightmare Apprentice and Magician get a fusion similar to how the Dark Magicians fusion works. Nightmare Apprentice or Magician + Any Illusion, then give it the effect of draw a card whenever you summon an illusion monster similar to Dark Magicians fusion with spell cards to draw cards that's once per turn. Then same as the DM fusion, if it's sent to gy, you summon the both from deck, gy, or hand.
I got bodied by this deck on Duelingbook today. Diabellze is an INSANE card. If you play a deck that loses to her like Runick, Fire King, or any pendulum deck, you WILL need to prepare your side deck for this matchup
You can do the barrier lock directly by sending barrier statue instead of using Beatrice, allowing for different plays in addition e.g. make s:p, their drawphase cl1 summon barrier statue, cl2 summon the banished chimera fusion monster.
Dude earlier played Illusion Nightmare Despia Pile. It beat my Swordsoul but he played thru multiple distribution. I could do whatever I wanted on my turn tho.
I'm surprised to see Nightmare Apprentice and Diabellze being used over Nightmare Magician, but I'm happy to see more cute girls being key cards in Illusion decks!
They're definitely format/matchup dependent. Magician is incredible on the crackback and demands removal, while Diabellze cooks quick-plays, but doesn't do much of anything into established boards. I'm personally a Magician truther. The things he can accomplish in a simplified gamestate are staggering, and Chimera already has a pretty solid turn 1 board
@@Argenta_Rosa You do get to make stuff like Dragoon, Crystal Wing, the Armored Xyz line, and Shenshen. That's not nothing. Hell, you can even make El Shaddoll Winda on your opponent's turn using Beatrice. There are so many funky things the deck can do.
Yet you have to jump through so many hoops to do a good chunk of that, playing multiple garnets, too. VW is one of those decks that can theoretically do anything, but in practice, it's going to be an uphill battle. The only accessible payoff for vw in the modern age is shenshen or transaction rollback Beatrice.
You can access berfomet + apprentice for Beatrice to dump chimera fusion for example. After the support the deck got many new lines. Imo the major problems is some unplayable hands that the deck have
We need to stop banning the cards that enable these locks and ban the cards that do the locking. Beatrice is a good card that a fair amount of decks can access to bolster their game plans. These lock cards provide nothing but additional headaches and enable a play style that is inherently bad.

illusions are a mostly light/dark fusion deck you can absolutely mix this with branded. the ed will be kinda messy tho.

King of the swamp is slightly more optimal for the grapha line because it’s less of a brick to draw, but yeah this is pretty sick

I feel bad for VW players, so many starters and extenders, but no payoff.
