I may not enjoy the final boss theme, but I really like this one. The piano is suitably creepy, especially that little “Destati” part, and the choir is terrifying. I think “Scala ad Caelum” would also have been a nice battle theme for this fight-if not as overtly bombastic and apocalyptic. Shimomura would have developed it and gradually increased the tension throughout the fight. Ishimoto likes to get right to the point lol

This isn't Yoko Shimomura. Just like FFXV, she composed only parts of the soundtrack. There's other composers who deserve credit here. I think this one in specific is done by Takeharu Ishimoto.

This plays with the Destati leitmotif, which is Shimomura's material, but even then, it's not like other contributors' work didn't incorporate her motifs into their pieces before (such as Ishimoto's Vanitas-related music containing references to other character themes associated with him). The middle section does feel very Ishimoto-esque. I wonder if certain cues are themselves collaborative efforts, rather than just splitting composition/arranging duties between tracks. Will have to wait till the official soundtrack is out to get proper credits.

I love fighting off that near never ending scythe combo , it took so many deaths for me to be like oh okay this is a twenty piece combo set up they got going here, I love how easy it is to dodge but still so hard , like larxene said, dont blink, crit.m.
Holy shit. If only the whole game was just square Enix worlds, had a soundtrack as good as this and final fantasy and not some degraded to the same sounding Disney magical music bullshit. KH has always been at its prime with their own shit and not held down by disney and their bullshit.

I would have been totally fine with this was just the clone's theme since it's very unsettling and intense. But resuing it as the final boss was just a terrible decision. This is not final boss material and Yoko Shimimora should have been the one to make it. Even with KH2 each phase had a different track with VERY slight similaritys since they are all the same track. The fist phase is very mysterious and ethreal since you don't know what your chasing. The second is intense and strong since your finally facing Xemnas and his dragon, flying around and slicing buildings. And the final phase is very climactic and ethreal. It's the last duel and you're in the zone. KH3's final boss don't feel climactic and is the same mood every phase. I expected there to be a final phase but when it was over I said to my self "Was that it?".
This music is nothing compared to the music in Kingdom Hearts 2. In this case I feel like they’re just re using old stuff and adding like more instruments just to make it sound “new”.
STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THEM RE-USING THE SAME MUSIC OVER AND OVER, i know you hate when they re-use musics from older games like that but the remaster in my opinion makes it way better (except for Tension Rising when you ALMOST can't hear the piano), i'm future like you understand that? and what if they remaster the old soundtracks BUT they add new soundtracks too
