Those are called chord inversions. Triad is a 3 note chord, get familiar with the caged system. Start with a 1 4 5 progression in any key. The example is key of c; the the 1 chord wud be c, the 4 chord wud be f, and the 5 chord wud be g.
As I stated at the beginning of the video, these are all triads of 1 chord...The A major chord. However, if you decide to use this technique for a minor chord then it will be all minor. As you get it under your hands, you can learn to mix it with other things like minors as well.

i know this is harmony 101, but how come the triads are all major. Do you always use major triads when you use this technique?
