- After Verstappen won four of the opening five races this season, no thought that there was a chance of a title battle. A perfect repeat of 2023 was expected by everyone and yet, as the season has progressed, the performance advantage that Red Bull held has diminished to nothing. At the sharp end of the grid, every race is a slog fest of a fight where nothing but perfection from the driver and the team will guarantee the win. With four second places and a race win in the last six Grand Prixs, Lando Norris looks to be Max Verstappen’s likeliest contender but with a 69 point deficit, surely the gap is already insurmountable? Red Bull have taken a massive blow in their title battle and some people are starting to think they might be beatable, so let’s check it out.

This is turning into an F1 drama channel filled with speculation.
Drama and speculation are in high demand, so even content creators who start on a serious approach end up baiting. Guess that's just how it works nowadays.

The only real risk to RB is on the constructors side, Ferrari are the only ones in reach. There isn't a world where Max finishes consistent below 3rd, so the driver's championship isn't realistic. McLaren have no real shot at the constructors due to piastri just not being consistent, there isn't a likely world where they outscore both Ferarri often to bridge the gap. McLaren's only real hope is for Norris to win some more podiums during this bright spell.
I would love to hear your thoughts on Piastri and where he is at in his development. He seems so close to a regular podium finish every race, I wonder if it is McLaren strategy or Oscar's driving or both that are preventing him from being in the top 3 in the races.
Max will still win the 2024 w.c even in 1st gear in the remaining races that how good his car is, and him, of course.

They've had time with their engine longer than any of the other teams. People are forgetting that Honda had it before RB but who's to say that they stopped upgrading it then? If they were still working on that engine RB could be getting any information about it from Honda making it two manufacturers working on it, nobody from F1 keeping an eye on both of them. That would make it against the rules and it could have been happening for the last three or four years. No other team has won every race in a season not even Mercedes and they had the best engine for seven years. But then came that race in Abu Dhabi and they've never looked back except in their mirrors.
Performance advantage dimensioned to almost nothing? Max. their pit crew, and their strategy engineers is their performance advantage. I am a Lando fan, he and a couple others are the future of F1, but there is obvious room/need for growth when compared to Red Bull... I can't even wrap my mind around how that team is just so damn consistent (minus Checo). I love seeing McLaren on the podium again, and seeing the Merc's looking competitive again has made me excited for race weekends again.
It definitely is getting closer and Red Bull can definitely feel the pressure. Unless Checo can turn it around soon, that Constructor's Championship will be way out of their reach.
Lando loves the next 2 tracks, The McLaren runs at its better end at both tracks as well. I think they'll be prime oportunities for potential race wins. If he did win both it would certainly change the seasons forecast. That along with the clearly obvious much closer racing will make for very exicitng weekends to come. We also can't rule out Ferrari, They'll have a few upgrades I think before the summer break. Interesting times! :)
Lando has a 69 points deficit to Max after 10 races…that is a huge gap. For example 2 wins and Max 12 times P2 would only mean he would get closer by 14 points. Lando won’t be winning all 14 races this season…

At this point of these regs other teams should be closing the performance gap !! McLaren is definitely looking strong. They got the car switched on about half way through last season. If McLaren keeps their development going we’re looking at some stellar races the rest of this season. While I am a Redbull man, I’m so looking forward to some hard, wheel to wheel racing !!!!!
The McLaren probably is the best car actually, but Verstappen is without question the best driver on the grid at this moment, and Red Bull as a team still has a big edge on McLaren when it comes to strategy. Norris has what it takes to become an outstanding driver, but he still lacks the brillance that makes Max such an exceptional racer, the ability of putting an attack at exactly the right moment like we saw in Spain, make an overtake stick at the first attempt and then drive faultlessly afterwards. So I really don't see Norris threatening him this season.
The constructors crown is another matter but Piastri isn't very convincing actually, so a biggest threat would probably come from Ferrari or Mercedes, who have both a consistant pair of drivers.
Max is a pure racer. None of the others on the grid can match him. Lewis, Leclerc Lando etc dream of having Max’s skill.
Rb still the fastest car. Don't get too ahead of yourself, just cars are getting closer.

Yes, Lando had a poor start but he also had a pit stop that cost him +1 sec. With a good pit stop he would have been within DRS at the end of the race.

No one is as good as Max. That won't change for years. Unless RBR's internal implosion translates into performance hamstringing the car and allowing anyone other than him bites at the apple, well that's yet to be seen.
I couldn't agree more. Wishful thinking won't make it fact. I'm expecting the wheels to fall off McClarens season sooner rather than later. The silver arrows are the team I'm weary of.
I bet they are wishing they didn't give Perez a contract now. Also, Adrian used to help with the setup of the car at the track since he's gone red bull have gone backwards

I feel like it’s always Lando could have would have won if the pit stop was right or George didn’t do that or if they call him in earlier. Blah blah. Max wins Redbul wins at the end of the day. Woulda coulda shoulda to me is just excuses, get it right ffs then it’s F1 not high school racing. Remember if my mum had balls she’d be my dad.
Lando should stop looking like a pickle after the race. He has the faster car but you dont beat MAX!!! And it just a matter of time till RBR irons things out. 🤣🤣🏁
