When I was 16 years old I lived in Millrift and a friend and I decided that we were going to go down the river in a raft.That day the weather was sprinkling rain but we chose to go ahead and do it anyway.Up in Millrift there was a spot where everyone went to swim on the Delaware and that's where we set off from.The current was strong and the water was cold.Within the first thirty minutes my friend said that he needed to go to the bathroom so we docked the boat along the shore so he could go.I got out of the boat to and also went to the bathroom because I knew we wouldn't be stopping again.Well like I said the current was strong and within a minute of being on the shore our boat broke free somehow and I didn't have my life vest on because it was in the boat.Without thinking I jumped in the water after the boat which was drifting farther out into the middle where the current was tremendous.My knee smashed into a rock and I was in much pain but besides that the under current was pulling me under and it as so bad that I remember opening my eyes and seeing underneath the surface and seeing only blackness.I tried swimming to the surface and found that my leg couldn't move and my injury prevented me from breaking the surface.I was running out of air fast and I panicked and that's when I swallowed water and eventually I drowned.My friend had his life vest on and it was him that pulled me from the water and he immediately initiated giving me mouth to mouth CPR.I don't remember much from that day but the stuff I don't remember my friend filled in the blanks.He saved my life that day and if it wasn't for him being there I would have died that day.I still cry every time I tell that story.

Point Pleasant tubing down the Delaware don't forget to bring your chewing gum cuz if you rip your tube you can patch it with gum LOL it hardens like cement

I been there with my camp once. By accident, my friend and I took the wrong way and almost died. There was rapids and very scary parts. ALWAYS FOLLOW THE RULES AND NEVER GO ALONE!!!
is it easy to get on the wrong way? cause its kind of difficult to steer the tubes.? I'm taking an entire family who don't kknow how to swim, just want to make sure its safe. btw how deep was it?

Umm the river isn't 4 feet deep...it's over a hundred feet deep in some spots and has a strong undercurrent...wear a lifejackets please!
I think your math might be a wee bit off.
The deepest point in the Delaware is 39'. The HUDSON River's deepest point is 203'.
South of Dingmans Ferry bridge it never gets more than 10 feet deep until you get past the Portland Columbia Toll Bridge (also known as the Rt. 46 bridge).

I was thinking about this. But do you know if there are any restrictions or difficulties finding the entry point? Do you know if there is a way to find out where to enter and exit?
