Horrible attorney- why didn’t she just defend him by saying “Judge although my client’s previous lifestyle may have indirectly lead to an unknown loss of life, he’s served his time and would like the remainder of his life to be spent correcting this.” She should have NEVER stopped to say she needed to speak to him & make it a bigger focus. She basically should have said something to respectfully acknowledge and answer the judge but to keep it moving.

You do a good job with developing an argument in Hoover's defense. Its a sad case given the age that he went in and the subsequent racketeering charges took his whole chance to develop in the free world. I cannot imagine the things he and his family have been exposed to as a result of gangs, persistent poverty, violence, incarceration. Its sad for him and the culture he is said to have a part in shaping.

What was this hearing? was it an appeal parole, what kind of hearing was it?
I would tell the judge i am only responsible for what i was convicted of ,giving him a number could cause him more legal issues, say he gives them a number, then the prosecution say well we were not aware of that amount of people. They are going to want more admissions then like ,who?,where?,when? Why?, and if he doesn't tell them it looks bad for him and if he does he could get more charges.
That is a very tricky question in my opinion.
I agree with most people, this man has paid for his crimes and no longer has and probably doesn't want any pull in the streets, this man cannot control the young jits in the streets and i would imagine does not want to.
Give this man a break and let him live his last years as a free man,y'all have freed many men and women that have committed way worse crimes than this.
Susan Smith who took her two toddlers strapped them into their car seats, drove to a lake and drove the car into the lake with the toddlers strapped in their seats then went on to tell police two men jacked her for her car and took her kids too,she was on tv appealing for their return and all that good stuff.
She did all this because she wanted to be with a man who didn't want children and didn't want to be with her because she had children.
She has just been granted parole, her crime is different but i see it as evil and she should have never gotten parole. She hurt defenceless babies,i'm not saying he didn't hurt anyone but her crime is worse in my opinion.

If they can let out Joey testa an Anthony senter from the Roy demeo crew (Italian Mafia) out of prison an they are responsible for over 20 murders proven between both of them an probably another 20 plus more murders they don't know about i even know about another 4 murders they personally did from gaspipe (casso) ratting that they didn't get charged for...of those super serial killers are out on the street they need to free the old man an. Let him live out the rest of his life with his family in the free world.,..I'm sure at his age he has changed an is no longer a treat to anyone

That’s a vague and moot question especially because there’s no direct evidence linking him to giving orders during his incarceration.
I was a CO at MCC when Hover was on my unit,(29 years ago) and we watched him carefully. Every time he used the phone, we monitored his calls. I greeted him like any other inmate and he always sat by himself. One day, I took him down in our sally port elevator for a medical check up with another CO, and I asked him “ You look familiar who are you?” (already knowing who he was) He was somewhat bashful and shy. The female CO with me said to Larry, “Tell him who you are.” He just smirked a bit. He was polite and well behaved on the way down. I think the change was happening then when he realized his fate with the feds. On the unit, when I made my rounds, he always sat by himself with his back to the wall. We had some El Rukns on the unit too but no one caused any issues on my watch. The Federal Bureau of Prisons is not the state or the county jail, it’s a different beast.
