Brilliant photography. especially the Beinn Alligin direction. I've still to do Liathach, but putting it off as I'm scared of heights, think I will need a guide to do this, Aonach Eaghach and the Skye ridges

Fantastic video, the drone footage gave another perspective on the ridge. I completed the ridge last week, what an experience, perfect conditions and able to summit both peaks.

I know what you mean when sun came rising above the horizon I thought how lucky to be ready for the views from liathach. The pinnacles on liathach to me are the best ridge walking even though a little dangerous with a camera in you're hand🤔🤔🤔. That was an amazing mountain to walk over. Those panicles looked fantastic but I guess not good in bad weather.
Your question easier up or down. I think these days up is easier at least as far as knees are concerned.

Liathach's a stunning mountain and you did it justice Alan, great film of one of Scotlands finest. Hope you fared better on Beinn Alligin than we did a number of years ago, had to bale out after the first Munro when the weather turned evil. Enjoyed scrambling along with you as always. Take care. Great vids Liathach in pronounces as (Lia- ga ) ( or some times Lia - gach ) And the ice you mentioned is referred as Verglas. some can see some you can't. :-)

Forgot to mention, there is path below that bypasses the Pinnacles. those in the know will tell you, avoid like the plague. In places it's more exposed than any part of the ridge
Spent may years in Scotland. I gave up trying to pronounce Gaelic names after 3 visits. We were trying to find this falls Near Drumnadrochit, Fall Of Divach. Local said to us, oh you mean, (pronounced) Ji-vich :-)

Liathach - LEEAGACH (CH as in Scottish loch); Spidean a' Choire Leith - SPITIYAN A' CORRY LAY; Mullach an Rathain - MOOLACH (Scottish loch) AN RA'UN ('Ra' as posh 'rather', the 'th' no more than a glottal stop, the 'ain' as 'un' in under). Now you can get by with the locals after the climb! Some great shots of just how narrow the ridge is. I did it maybe 20 times including one memorable time when I climbed it through a July night. Totally magnificent.

After my night time ridge walk I decided I might as well carry on and went up Beinn Dearg. Then I thought I'll just add Beinn Alligin. Yes crazy - and fortunately my black Labrador thought so too. I was up 150 feet and looked back only to see him staring up at me telling me if this was my idea of fun he didn't go along with it! These were the days - I was young then and fortunate enough to be living 5 years in Torridon.

Cheers gizmo.. yeah very tough on the legs a rollercoaster ride on the liathach pinnacles. I know what you mean about the drone I've lost a few in the past they sometimes have a mind of their own😭😭

It was a very long day filming and walking back on the road but well worth it. Well done on seeing youre lunch stop on Alligin 🤣🤣 .I filmed Alligin 2 days later and the wind was unbelievable that I had trouble with the drone.. You haven't got to be arrogant have you Alan - you need to treat them mountains with the utmost care at times especially when wet and like grease. One slip and your ankle or knee or head has gone. Another excellent video, Alan. Liathach is my favourite mountain; I have climbed it three times and still want to do it again.
