Mercedes GLA W156 Halogen to LED Headlights Retrofit using AVDI

Today I had the chance to try the latest fast coding functionality available with the Abrites Diagnostics for Mercedes Online. It is used to retrofit headlights for Mercedes-Benz vehicles in a matter of minutes. In this video I will show you how to perform halogen to LED retrofit on a Mercedes W156 GLA.
All you need to do is get your AVDI ready and your wiring right. Make sure your AMS is active, since the Abrites Diagnostics for Mercedes-Benz Online requires valid AMS. The SCN coding menu is available for access without any additional licenses!
A CAN connection between the CBC (SAM) module and the LED headlights module must be added using a twisted pair. You can see the pinout clearly in the video, as well as below:
Static LED headlight (E1/E2) connector pinout :
pin 1 - CAN L (must be connected to pin2 of CAN separator X30/31)
pin 2 - CAN H (must be connected to pin1 of CAN separator X30/31)
pin 4 and pin 9 - 12V / terminal 30 from SAM module ( you can use yellow wire of pin 6 from Halogen headlight connector )
pin 10 - GND / terminal 31 ( you can use brown wire of pin 5 from Halogen headlight connector )
The pinout of the left and right headlight connectors is identical. You can use the connector from the halogen headlight, you just have to change the pins.
Make sure you save the current coding of the CBC and HLI modules before writing the new one. It is done by clicking the Save All button in the SCN coding menu for each module.
