Hyolyn is a former member of the 2nd gen girl group Sistar (their nickname is the queens of Summer). Hyolyn is often called the "Beyonce of Kpop" because she is the definition of everything in one. you're right, Hyolyn has been doing this/dancing like this for a LONG time. you should look into her songs "Dally" and "Layin' Low". i think what happened with this song is Hyolyn saw all of the attempts to follow in Tyla's footsteps (some of those attempts better than others), and decided to remind people who she is. it's very her - elegant while still being down to earth/having fun. she also has a unit song called "No More (Ma Boy)" with another member of Sistar which is a more recent comeback and very good.
You should react to Body Talk of her, and her Immortal Song's performances (it's a singing show where she is a well known vocalist !). She's one of the top vocalist in kpop. Her voice is insane and her technic vocals are so on point. She's known to touch the heart of every personne listening to her ballads !

People who hear these kinds of songs are like “aww her voice is so soft” and then they hear her sang sang and her voice is crazy powerful as well as crazy soft and airy.
