You know, it's very interesting how we can explain why purple and blue souls can save and load. Because they share enough determination between them that can give them this ability... in my opinion, of course :DD

Man this feels like a prequel to undertale yellow
They are completely unrelated
Yellow doesn't fit with kindred spirits OR the original undertale anyway too many plotholes

the only thing that some consider an issue is flowey existing
even though undertale gives 0 indication whatsoever when flowey was created other than alphys was the royal scientist at the time and had access to human souls
both of which yellow explains

For flowey to exist the DT experiments already happened which means kanako is already gone plus Asgore requested for people to give their fallen down relatives and they would give back the dust for the funerals as the experiments in no way were trying to revive them but to use their SOULs for the experiments and given chugin is dead the ONLY possible person to even deliver kanako to her pressumed death is ceroba in UTY she has no hope of alphys reviving her but thats what she thinks the experiments are for then you also have lemon bread and snowys mom both have ties to shyren and snowy given snowy is still a teen and shyrens sister fell down before Alphys and mettaton even met ( which is what got alphys the job ) both show the experiments and the creation of flowey happened recently ( ignoring the hundreds or thousands of resets)
All of which makes the entire ceroba family lore and flowey make it impossible to happen since it ties those events to a line from an inmortal goat mom saying no human has fallen in a very long time
Also makes ceroba seem stupid since she blames Asgore and alphys but she herself was likely who delivered kanako to the experiments

but this doesnt make sense in undertale either
for millenia no humans fell, yet suddenly in a hundred year span 8 humans fall?
for someone millenia old, a hundred years isnt a "long time"
toriel saying this to *any* of the fallen humans wouldnt make any sense, as all the humans suddenly fell in quick succession
its more likely that toriel didnt want to bring attention to the other humans when talking to frisk because they died
also note that given shes living in solitude and checks every single day for a fallen human, even one year could seem like a lot, let alone 5 or 10
kanako isnt dead in the lab, she is an amalgamate
that aside, ceroba giving kanako to alphys does kinda not make sense but it doesnt violate the timeline
she was likely performing a last ditch effort to get her child back
we have seen how far her desperation goes
it hasnt been too long since kanako fell down when yellow begins; lets assume her and snowdrakes mother were admitted to the lab around the same time, and snowdrakes mother was admitted shortly after her death
snowdrake runs away as a child
uty is implied to take place less than a decade before undertale
this would mean snowdrake can still be a teenager for the events of undertale
the amalgamates are *very* new when uty happens, and ceroba has reason to assume that kanako is alive because alphys literally told the families the patients were alive
then after they fused together she stopped answering the phone
at no point does it mention when shyrens sister fell down having any relation to alphys meeting mettaton
all we know is shyren knew mettaton before her sister fell down
doesnt say mettaton had no idea who alphys was before or after, that couldve happened at anytime
and yes, the experiments and all did happen recently, because uty is *right* before undertale
even most of the ruins we see looks almost exactly the same
the tree hasnt even changed shape
also ceroba doesnt blame alphys and asgore for kanako
she blames them for various issues in the underground unrelated to kanakos death
the same societal issues chujin wanted to solve and blamed asgore for, ceroba blames asgore for them as well
watch the tapes again
theres *some* mental gymnastics required to fit yellow in but it can work without retconning any of undertale
and honestly theres mental gymnastics to explain undertales timeline alone
like how for 3000 years no humans fell yet suddenly 8 fall within a hundred year span
or how asriels dust didnt fade off of a flower after a literal century
or how nobody at all went to the lab to investigate what happened to their loved ones
and literally everything to do with gaster
theres a reasonable explanation for the discrepancies with yellow
for all we know they literally couldve fallen within the same year because what toriel said makes no sense at all no matter how long the gap was
