I don't know why these videos are so satisfying. Perhaps it's due to the meticulous way you go through each color and describe how working with the paint feels and functions. I also appreciate your knowledge of different pigments from different manufacturers and your abiliy to compare and contrast them with the current set of paints. Either way, I love these videos! Also love the fruits and vegetables at the end, what a fun summery painting. Keep up the great work!
I'm so happy you are enjoying them! Thank you! I keep my master watercolour swatch folder to hand, because I really like to have context when I come across something new.
What a cute and bright painting. Very fun. I bought this set for the palette, and I am also enjoying the paints. I’m used to the low flow of Asian paints,I just add synthetic ox gall to my water and that helps. They are surprisingly good - they copy a lot of Cotman names (and pigments) I noticed, so that might be the market they are after. The whole PO49 is kinda sus, but I’ve noticed that PO49 is available from some chemical manufacturers again, so they may have a source in China. Who knows.
Thank you, Helen🌻, for making me such a lovely company while I was eating my tomato salad for lunch.😊 Btw, I like the palete that came with these watercolors a lot. 😍😍 I hope you've already adjusted to being in GB again. Sending you a big big hug 💞🫶
Love the mixing tray in that palette!!! I’d like to purchase a palette like that and fill with my own paints 😊. Very nice painting choice to use as many colours as possible; I really like how the coloured pencils gave such a “finished” look in the end… very nice!
Yep, when I'm done with these paints I'll definitely enjoy putting my own selection in. There are definitely a few colours from this set I really liked though, including surprisingly the reds.
@@helencryer I’ve quickly looked through their “4th gen” artist tube set and it doesn’t have PO49 on their Sap green anymore. I guess the set you got was one of the last ones to have PO49.

This is really interesting - thanks! I've gravitated to high flow watercolours in the past, so takes a bit of getting used to.
I was glad to see a really good close up of the palette to really see what it looks like properly. Very pretty painting
Oh good! Thanks!
What a lovely bright and colourful painting! Really like it.
Thanks! All credit to Maru Godas!

Thanks so much! Sounds yum! Yes, I really do like that palette!
You have a really good eye for shapes and put the paint down with such confidence. A great watch, as always x
Haha, thanks! It's definitely easier with veg, than say, portraits though!!
Both highly informative and beautiful to watch. Love that palette's design - and the purple lake!
Thank you!! (As always!) Yes, the Purple Lake 💜
Love your painting🍓🍋🍒🍊 I’m always inspired by your use of mixed media to bring out the details👌🏼
Thank you! I think it's because I'm too lazy to paint little details!!
Lovely paint set and as usual a stunning painting loved it
Thank you! xx
I recently purchased the tubes & hope to swatch soon. Thanks
Ooo nice!
@@helencryer Looking forward to swatching. Thanks

Thank you Helen for this lovely artwork!❤ if you don’t mind I will use it as an inspiration for doing one myself 😊
Thanks! I used Maru Godas' idea in the first place, so please do!
I really hope they would sell the palette without the paint! It looks so nice
Yep - I really like it!
That's what I hope!
Hello!
Hi!
You worked those paints beautifully! And they do look wonderful for a beginner too! I did click on your link and they're unavailable 😢...
Yeah, I just saw that - sorry about that!! Hopefully they'll be back in stock soon!
PO49 on the Sap Green and Hooker's Green Light 👀
I know... that's what it says though! 🤷♀️

Pity! I would have liked to try PO49.
I don't think this set is an equivalent of the 4th gen though - it's a new one out, and more student grade than professional overall.
Beautiful paints. I don't understand all the difference and variations of paul rubens paints. They have so many
No, I don't either. I think some called 4th Generation are the best ones though.
