How God Used Me to Change David Wood's Mind (with assistance from jihadi wannabes)

- At the end of May 2022, David Wood announced he would be deleting his channel, Acts17Apologetics, on July 4, 2022. David had put years of thought into the decision, and those who know David say he very rarely changes his mind about anything. David himself said he was 99% certain it would happen. Yet, when the time came, he didn't literally delete the channel, but instead transferred ownership to Hatun Tash @DCCIMinistries. How did that happen? I believe it was nothing short of divine intervention, as God's loving hand used external circumstances (the actions of deluded jihadis and cowardly police against Hatun Tash) and just the right timing to bringing me into David's life to change the course of history.

It was really angering and frustrated to see Hatun being mocked and falsely being arrested. I am really happy how God turned evil into good. May God continue to bless David, Hatun and Thaddeus and their ministry.

@@ReasonedAnswers You are one misinterpreting God laws. Timothy is QUOTING GENESIS where God punishes Eve and ALL WOMEN for transgression and it applies to ALL TIMES not just in church.
But that does not suit your agenda like for most New Age Christians who think Jesus died for their sins and now they can do whatever they want and misinterpret Bible and Quran to suit their lifestyle and agenda.

Interesting video bro! I did not realize he was serious about deleting his channel so I did not even try to contact him about the matter as so many UA-camrs will say such things and never do anything. Glad you stepped in and talked him out of it, as I think clearly you had the right idea and led him into a right direction. As these days it is very difficult to build 700K subs, especially on such a topic as you guys are covering.. The old days it was easier.

@@ReasonedAnswers unless he's not the channel I remember unsubscribing to... Your better off not collaborating with him. Make sure you research and vhet who you align with. Obviously pray about it sincerely. Bigger numbers aren't always a good sign. If the world loves them, even more reason to be cautious. I search channel names and exposed to see if anything known is out there already and consider it, who's saying it, evidence etc. And especially prayerfully consider if I use them in my spiritual toolbox so to speak. I am happy to see the channel not deleted, but I am not sure really that the channel's transfer is as groundbreaking a change as you believe.
I am glad Hatun is using the channel, but am not really the biggest fan (partly because of the use of the cartoons that she has in the song introduction with Daughter of Christ, who I am a big fan of otherwise).
I do think though that the arabic speaking Christians having a bigger voice is actually good.
I was recommending on DW's channel that he share some of Jai apologetics and DoC's videos about Uthman.
The use of arabic means they cannot hide behind some obvious lies.
Still not sure if it is groundbreaking.

So, I was a little sad that you said you never thought of the idea in your livestream with DW, because I was thinking that maybe my suggestion had influenced something.

I'm not sure I'd label it "groundbreaking," :) just a huge change from what was planned. I do think the apologetics super group idea was brilliant. I'm not sad for myself, but am sad it didn't come to fruition... yet. I wrote my mission statement before I had any clue I'd get to talk with David, but parts of it do sound eerily like the super group idea. Although I don't recall your post, I'm sure I read it, so perhaps it had some subconscious influence. Either way, I will continue to pursue it, as I now think it is a clear part of my calling. As someone else pointed out, in a way I am already doing it a little with how much I collaborate with others.

Am I the only one who thinks Tad the Bad has the dopest cross on the whole internet? I'll have to put in a bid for the hallowed sign. The map of Jerusalem still gracing the wall: keeping it old school. The day I see it gone is the day I unsubscribe. I believe the whole fanbase of the channel is with me on this delicate point. "Mister David" did the righteous thing. Not a bad sort, Mister David.
The more Christians who create UA-cam channels, the more UA-cam will become a Christian platform. If God is calling any of you guys to a ministry on youtube, maybe you should make a channel preaching the gospel, or perhaps giving Christian takes on political positions, or discussing movie reviews, or apologetics, or animating christian messages, or Christian music.
If God is calling anyone to make UA-cam content, it would be great to have a large amount of Christian content on one of the world's largest platforms.
Indeed. Some might be also be called to make a channel about whatever "random" thing you are interested in that naturally shares Christ as part of your life while primarily being about that other subject. That's a great way to reach people who aren't looking for Christian content specifically.
@@ReasonedAnswers Imagine if someone made a Christian cartoon series on UA-cam about something like high school or college students struggling with their faith and eventually finding answers to their struggles. There's not a lot of animated Christian content. Christians can also post short films or skits. I mean, there can be very fun, entertaining, or comical ways of preaching true genuine biblical messages, and I believe even the content creators would love to do that.

Indonesia has the largest Muslim population followed by Pakistan , India, Bangladesh , Nigeria , Turkey and Iran. How do you reach out to Muslims in these countries most of whom do not speak English
Translate and preferably dub the videos. This will probably require paying people, which I am prepared to do. :)
By supporting Christian satellite and radio mission organizations. Or if you want to impact yourself, then reaching out to refugees or emigrants from those countries is also potentially reaching their people.
@@saftis5304 That's an excellent suggestion. For those who live in countries taking refugees from the Islamic world, reach out! The life you touch just might touch a dozen more back in their home country that otherwise couldn't be reached.
There are a number of Indonesian Christian websites that don’t apologize for their attacks on Islam in various ways.

You know I was at this club and there was some Atheists joking about God doing these "scary" things after watching an animated video and why should they follow him because of things like the 10 plagues of Egypt and saying God just hurts people he doesn't like after seeing an animated drawing of those who were against Daniel being thrown into the Lion's Den depicted and one was quick to joke about what happened with the lions' claws after it said about their mouths, even the teacher showing the video smirked a little at them and thought one of them was right that the frogs were actually rained down until I corrected them.
It's almost as if some Atheists just want to joke and argue about God from a weak distorted and almost child-like understanding ripped out of context to argue that it's man-made revenge obsessions converted into a character, even worse than Muslims sometimes to be honest.
These things from Atheists can cause doubts and sometimes need to be seriously addressed.
If one’s heart is after what is in God’s heart, we can witness awesome things. All we have to do is to find a way to get out of the way.
Meanwhile, David has given Hatun an endorsement which means so much not just for all she has done but because there are so many who are self-righteous Christians who would love to see Hatun visit their church but would never ever think of allowing her to say one word. She is an amazing woman, and when someone is so anointed by God, who are we not to recognize it?
I praise God for what he has done for Hatun via David Wood. He not only do this for Hatun, in a way for all women who love the Lord Jesus but who are allowed the privilege of only cleaning the church toilets, a ray of hope too. Guess what, we women are in Adam too. Women were at the tomb when Jesus arose while the men were too scared to go with, even to protect the women. The women went even though the Roman soldiers would be there,except the presence of the Lord, of which those soldiers were so terrified of, that they had fled and the women were left in safety.
These women came with all the spices to finish anointing Jesus but He had arisen. Despite how marginalized even Christian women are in this present world, David gave his channel to Hatun.
God says to us “whosoever will” and this does not pertain to men only but also to women, we are both called “Adam”.
That so many modern Christian men have in the midst of the current age, and the fallen secular world now are marginalizing women to “birthing persons”, and who can be replaced by men posing as women at every occasion they wish, God has elevated an honorable woman, Hatun, to shut the mouths of those who have no understanding and are not even able to recognize that.
Thaddeus, I was so pleased that you put a video of the lady you have on your channel to counter what the Muslim had to say about women preaching to men. She was so good. I can’t remember her name right now as I am tired but wow, would love you to host a debate with her and Mike Winger who would hand every woman in his church a toilet brush.
It isn’t as though I think women should dominate, we are the other half, those who complete men vs. compete with men. That does not mean we do not have something to add which is good and wholesome and from the Lord.

Beautiful post. I'm not sure Mary and Mike Winger would disagree on much, actually. He is not an egalitarian, but neither is she. Both recognize different, but equal roles, for men and women in the church, and neither would relegate women to cleaning the toilet. :) Mary wouldn't accept a pastoral role over a congregation, for example. I am probably closer to an egalitarian position than either of them, to be honest. That said, I'd love to have a chat with Winger about this or anything else.
@@ReasonedAnswers Perhaps you should look at the videos he’s posted. I used to subscribe to him, so if he’s changed his mind, I didn’t want to see anymore, but it isn’t just him.
I’ve been in churches were women were being utterly marginalized, even if a hymn was written by a woman in the hymnal, one pastor would be sure we could not sing that one. Some of the stuff is ridiculous and the women often go along with it as they don’t want to make waves.
Christian women still write some pretty amazing music. But can it be performed? There are some churches that let that happen. There are also some who would not tolerate it.

My issue with David wasnt that he wanted to delete his channel to troll his fans and critics, because I also thought that was funny "I almost have a million subs after decades on yt... I deleted and burned it all away in an instant bwaahaha!"
The issue is that he's more focused on a limited scope of what is practical while trying to satisfy his own gratification in the moment. He should be more Kingdom focused, not that he cant use banter and polimics and rhetoricism against islam, atheism, but that he should focus more on what he can do to be more effective for the Kingdom of God and the Body/Bride of Christ rather than his own fame and his own Kingdom, self sacrificially

What a dumb comment. He has reached more people for the Kingdom through his channel than he would have done by preaching in churches or evangelising in other ways. God has called him to the fields of apologetics and polemics. It's not for everyone and he has been mightily used. Do what God has called you to do and leave him alone. For people who criticise him without foundation all I can say is that jealousy makes you nasty.
