- The bi-annual East African Safari rally takes competitors back to the glory years of motor rallying, with marathon stages, roadside service and an action packed adventure through some of east african finest rally stages. 9 days of fierce competition in classic cars built before 1978!
This is like a homecoming... a recreation of the original Safari Rally I grew up knowing and wishing I was a part of. I didn't know this happened 6 years ago. It's refreshing!!! RIP Bjorn Waldegard and Hannu Mikkola the flying Finn!!
I am with you. This documentary gave me a lot of insight on how the rally I grew up with was run. I did not realize that on some occasions when I saw them they were on transport and not actually racing.
I really like that dirt and those cars are awesome 😊

My take away from this is that Kessel got fuel support from the spectating locals bottle by bottle. Safari Rallying is the realest 😉🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪

Hi, please feel free to go online and look at the entry list for this event, every team that took part features in this movie and there are many Kenyan drivers, Tanzanians and South Africans. Are you suggesting that only black drivers are Africans?

Hi mark, every single car entered in the event is featured in this movie, sadly the majority of entrants drive porsche so therefore its a little difficult not to feature other makes if they don't exist... glad you enjoyed the coverage though!

I think this is really awesome, but when those cars go flying through those villages with kids standing around... Well it sort of feels kinda sketchy. Seriously, seriously cool though.
There were/are occasional mishaps involving spectators, but they are rare.
no talk of local drivers. just a focus on international drivers. bs
NASSIR K every crew in the event is covered, it is an international event, and local crews such as Carl Tundo, Baldev Chagger, alistair cavanagh all feature prominently... maybe you should check before commenting!
