Oh, misty eye of the mountain below Keep careful watch of my brothers' souls And should the sky be filled with fire and smoke Keep watching over Durin's son If this is to end in fire Then we should all burn together Watch the flames climb high into the night Calling out father oh, stand by and we will Watch the flames burn on and on the mountain side hey And if we should die tonight Then we should all die together Raise a glass of wine for the last time Calling out father oh Prepare as we will Watch the flames burn on and on the mountain side Desolation comes upon the sky Now I see fire, inside the mountain I see fire, burning the trees And I see fire, hollowing souls And I see fire, blood in the breeze And I hope that you'll remember me Oh, should my people fall Then surely I'll do the same Confined in mountain halls We got too close to the flame Calling out father oh, hold fast and we will Watch the flames burn on and on the mountain side Desolation comes upon the sky Now I see fire, inside the mountain I see fire, burning the trees And I see fire, hollowing souls And I see fire, blood in the breeze And I hope that you'll remember me And if the night is burning I will cover my eyes For if the dark returns then My brothers will die And as the sky's falling down It crashed into this lonely town And with that shadow upon the ground I hear my people screaming out Now I see fire, inside the mountain I see fire, burning the trees And I see fire, hollowing souls And I see fire, blood in the breeze I see fire, oh you know I saw a city burning (fire) And I see fire, feel the heat upon my skin (fire) And I see fire (fire) And I see fire (burn on and on and mountains side)
I'm curious about strumming pattern and chords during strumming part, is this the same as for regular I see fire? I think not but I can be wrong due to Eb tuning, any help?
looking at the choir like 'uhhh.. start singing???' He must have nodded at them at least 10 times throughout the second verse then just went 'nah? ok😅' from 2:10 onwards
Chris Zuradzki Looks on the 6th to me. But after watching the other songs from this session I'm pretty sure he was in Eb that night, a semitone down. Thanks for your help :)
+John Doe Pretty sure the Don't/loyal/etc mashup is at standard tuning just played a semitone higher than what don't usually is! He begins the riff at F# instead of F which is where it usually starts! So I don't what's up with his tuning xD At the mashup he seems to not be playing the standard chords so maybe he was an alternate tuning for his G and B string ? I dont know xD
Those people are so lucky, I may never get to experience Ed like this in a small room singing without a mic again.
i have never replayed a song so MANY TIMES
This is so intimate it's great! No PA, just acoustic and vocal.
When I watched the film in theater I heard this song and knew it was Ed Sheeran, he has such a unique soulful voice
This is ED'S MAGIC ! HIS VOICE IS EVERYTHING TO ME ! THIS IS MY FAVOURITE VERSION OF I SEE FIRE AND I LOVE ALL OF THEM.
LOVE his voice on this track. Every time.
Wie geil ist das denn 🙃🙃🙃🧡💛🧡
Maravilhoso, amor da minha vida 💙💙💙💙💙

Te iubesc infinit Ed dintotdeauna pentru totdeauna.
Oh, misty eye of the mountain below
Keep careful watch of my brothers' souls
And should the sky be filled with fire and smoke
Keep watching over Durin's son
If this is to end in fire
Then we should all burn together
Watch the flames climb high into the night
Calling out father oh, stand by and we will
Watch the flames burn on and on the mountain side hey
And if we should die tonight
Then we should all die together
Raise a glass of wine for the last time
Calling out father oh
Prepare as we will
Watch the flames burn on and on the mountain side
Desolation comes upon the sky
Now I see fire, inside the mountain
I see fire, burning the trees
And I see fire, hollowing souls
And I see fire, blood in the breeze
And I hope that you'll remember me
Oh, should my people fall
Then surely I'll do the same
Confined in mountain halls
We got too close to the flame
Calling out father oh, hold fast and we will
Watch the flames burn on and on the mountain side
Desolation comes upon the sky
Now I see fire, inside the mountain
I see fire, burning the trees
And I see fire, hollowing souls
And I see fire, blood in the breeze
And I hope that you'll remember me
And if the night is burning
I will cover my eyes
For if the dark returns then
My brothers will die
And as the sky's falling down
It crashed into this lonely town
And with that shadow upon the ground
I hear my people screaming out
Now I see fire, inside the mountain
I see fire, burning the trees
And I see fire, hollowing souls
And I see fire, blood in the breeze
I see fire, oh you know I saw a city burning (fire)
And I see fire, feel the heat upon my skin (fire)
And I see fire (fire)
And I see fire (burn on and on and mountains side)

Can anyone confirm if he was in Eb tuning?
hes playing it half a step lower in this version (capo on the fifth fret instead of the sixth like the original)

Cozas Yeah it seems like he tuned down for his unplugged half of the night. He usually plays Don't in F#m live.
Hey I smashed two hendos
