Thanks for the video you inspired me to buy the same setup..unfortunately the playseat challenge was on back order, and now I can't seem to find the TH8A shifter or the T3A pedals...crazy,,,glad I at least got the wheel and seat...lol.
Damn riding that clutch all day haha. Take your foot off of it when you're not using it man!

Sehr schönes Video, wäre eins zu Forza 7 möglich. Das mit dem überspringen der Gänge bietet sich an und ist gut umgesetzt. Wie fühlt sich die Bremse an bietet das Pedal einen Widerstand? Weil ohne ABS mit dem Pad ist mies.
GSXRNissan hab leider vor Jahren das ganze Hobby aufgegeben und alles verkauft.
Aber ich hatte zum Schluss die thrusmaster pro Pedale, mit diesen „abs“ Gummi Ringen ( weis nicht mehr wie die heißen und wo es die gab) und dazu nen Bass-shaker. Damit war es dann recht ordentlich.
Aber wie gesagt, hab ca. ein Jahr nachdem Video alles aufgegeben.

Do the clutch is only on/off or there have a friction spot like real car?

@@EuphoricOdyssey4 Like a real car, you can play with how much bite the clutch gets through the pedal. ( This might vary from game to game offcourse but the hardware is made for realism.

Your shifting is a little off, take your foot off the accelerator when shifting, it sounds like you're keeping your foot on the accelerator.
Its a game so its faster to shift like that.
It sounds absolutely horrible, & if he's using simulation damage he will burn his clutch
With a manual? May I ask how many clutches you've burnt out? That's horrible for your engine & clutch? If you're using clutchless manuel than thats different, but with a standard transmission, you sir are wrong.
THOSE HAVE RACE CLUTCHES? They are made to shift quickly, disengaging the throttle for a split second then reengaging? I'm talking about your standard transmission, not some race bullshit? I could careless of what kind of cares you own, completely irrelevant to what the conversation is about.
Its about shifting? Not how you own sports cars, & search up a proper way of shifting a standard transmission, you need to brush up on your information, cause clearly you're clueless about how clutches work, NOT race clutches, the mechanics of them are different....way different, I have taken apart both of them.

Bought the base for 300 used. Then 200 each for pedals and shifter from B&H photo. 700$

I'm assuming the shifter doesn't have force feed back to stop you from doing something stupid. Like throwing it in reverse while doing 90. That would be really slick to have a force feedback shifter!

What did you use to mount the shifter to the Playseat Challenge Chair? I have both, having trouble with mounting the shifter
I have the same setup, except the T3PA-Pro pedals. I used a u-bolt, a 90-degree angled 12-guage tie strap. I tightened the u-bolt and added a couple 1/4" nuts on each side for spacing, to allow room for the Playseat hinge. I drilled two holes in the 90-degree tie strap and mounted the shifter directly, instead of using the clamp. Total cost of the mount, less than $10 US.
How much did this entire setup cost? It looks incredible, but also looks like several hundred dollars!? I WANT!

You have very impressive driving skills! Is the clutch and shifter very realistic on how it is on a real car? I'm thinking on buying this so I can learn on how to drive a manual transmission car.
i think it is realistic and you can have a lot of fun with it . But it is a toy. I think it is not the perfect setup to learn drive for a real car.
I drive in real life cars with manual shift, and i had a lot of problems with the Thrustmaster setup on sim racing - it is not the same feeling. i needed a lot of time to find the perfect timing for Gas,clutch and shifting.

Yes, it works perfect and has the same Force Feedback and vibrations as Forza Motorsport 5

is there specially installtion on the th8a shifter? i had my th8a return 2 times! connected to tx steering wheel and not working at all(the t3pa works) still trying to figure out what happen or i`m just bad luck recived two defective product

Wtf read my comment again I specifically said I'm not an expert and I have seen people use a Logitech wheel with Thrustmaster shifter
If you're on PC you can use the shifter with any wheel, if you're on console, you can use the shifter with the Thrustmaster 'T series' (Tx, T300 & T500). that sums it up as simply as i can put it

Are you sure that you have the latest firmware update for the TX Wheel Base ? Visit the Thrustmaster website and go to the support section - there are some Firmware Updates - Check that you have the latest ( i remember before the Shifter comes out, they announced a new Firmware that you need ).
Put the Shifter not with the USB Adapter on your xbox ! Use the stock cable and put it into the TX Wheel Base. Use the USB Adapter only for Windows Computer ( for other racing games )

what about Formula in forza 6 ? they have 8 gears right? that thrustmaster´s got 7 :P do you use the pads on the wheel for that 8th..or maybe im wrong?
+Ralphie Ralph There is no Formula car use stick shifter; I think paddle shifter will be more realistic, plus with the speed of Formula 1, you need to shift super fast to be in the right gear. but u are right, paddles are the only way to get to the 8th gear.
Is there a special cord I'm missing but I have the same setup but my shifter isn't recognized it's a USB i plug into the Xbox seperate

you can with any wheel and pedals you dont need the shift to do that
I cruise in lfs and I have a t500 with no shifter. Like most cars these days are automatic you dont need a shifter.

Why do all the people try to argue with you why you dont heel/toe??? Do the people even know why that is used? I dont think so.
Heel/toe is used, when the car doesnt auto blip the throttle while downshift (what forza do, so no need to do). When no auto blip applied, then the wheels do break too much from the engine and loose traction and the balance of the car is wrecked. To compensate that, you do the manual blip (heel/toe) to avoid that.
Many people say do h/t but have no clue, whats the reason about that (just heard about that and think they know everything)
Please get some backround info (read and try to understand why tings are done and where is it neccessary (NOT in simcade Forza)!!

Looks nice, but that "click" sound when shifting gears, sound cheap and ruins it all in my opinion. Does the shifter feel like it sound, or is it better and feels more like a real shifter ?

Ja, geht ohne Probleme ! Du kannst an dem Sitz alles einstellen. Ist wirklich gut gemacht. Mein Neffe 1,6m. Kann problemlos damit fahren.

Does anybody not know what rev matching is anymore? Heel-Toe Downshifting? Ive been looking at wheel and pedal demos all night and I have yet to see one person do it. Not that it matters in the game but I hope you don't shift your real vehicle like that, your syncros won't last.
Can you adjust it for sequential shifting only ?
Yes, its designed to switch to sequential. The bits to do so come standard with the shifter. Its a 2min turn around and sequential shift plate to replace the H pattern comes standard with the shifter.
